NEET 2024 question papers were released by NTA from May 5, 2024 onwards, the day of the exam. The NEET question paper 2024 had four codes: Q, R, S and T. The NEET 2024 re-exam question paper sets were A, B, C and D. Each of these NEET 2024 question papers was further divided into six subsets, making the total number of NEET papers 24. The NEET 2024 retest was conducted on June 23, 2024, for 1,563 candidates who were awarded grace marks. As many as 813 candidates appeared for the exam. The NEET 2024 re-exam question papers were handed over to these candidates.Â
Candidates preparing for NEET 2025 must download and solve past years' NEET question papers to prepare for the exam. However, candidates must be careful of omitting the questions which are out of the current NEET syllabus. It is expected that the NEET 2025 exam date will be scheduled for May 4, 2025. Hence, with less than six months left for the exam, candidates should start solving past years' NEET question papers as part of their NEET preparation strategy.Â
The NEET 2024 revised final answer keys for the original exam were released by NTA on July 26, 2024. This revised NEET answer key 2024 is as per the Supreme Court verdict. Originally, the final answer key of NEET 2024 stated that in a particular Physics question, two answer options were correct. Based on the revision, only option number 4 of that particular question has been stated as correct.Â

During the Supreme Court of India hearing on the various NEET 2024 petitions, the apex court had asked IIT Delhi Committee to share its opinion on the controversial NEET 2024 Physics question which had two correct answer options as per the NEET 2024 final answer key by NTA. It has been opined that the two options were mutually exclusive and only option number 4 was correct. Accordingly, the bench has suggested revoking the bonus marks, awarding four marks only to whose who have marked the answer option 4, and levying negative marking to those who selected any other answer option.
NTA released the NEET 2024 provisional answer key and OMR sheets for the retest held on June 23, 2024, on June 28, 2024. The challenge submission window was opened on the same date, and the last date was June 29, 2024, 11 PM. The final answer key for the NEET 2024 re-exam was released on June 30, 2024, ahead of the declaration of the result, which was on July 1, 2024.

Since NEET 2024 exam was conducted in a paper-pencil-based test (PBT) mode, from 2 PM to 5.20 PM, the NEET question papers 2024 were handed over to candidates by the exam centre authorities. Moreover, several coaching institutes will also release the NEET 2024 question papers PDFs of all sets along with the NEET answer keys and solutions for test takers to analyse their performances and calculate the estimated score.
NEET 2024 question paper carried a total of 200 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology and Botany). Test-takers have to attempt a total of 180 questions during their NEET exam.Â
Q: Â How many Sets are there in the NEET question paper?
There are generally four Sets of NEET question papers, which are further segregated into six parts. The names of the NEET 2024 question paper Sets and codes are Q, R, S and T. For the NEET 2024 re-exam, the question paper sets were A, B, C and D. The multiple Sets and codes in the NEET question papers ensure that there is no malpractice in the conduct of the exam. The names of the Sets and codes of the regional NEET question papers are different from the English ones. While distributing the question papers of NEET invigilators had to ensure that they did not give the same set question paper to two consecutive candidates. Once candidates are given the NEET question paper by invigilators, they need to check whether the question paper and test booklet, or answer sheet is of the same code. In case of a mismatch, they need to bring the matter to the invigilators notice. In case they submit the NEET test booklet with a different code from that of the NEET question paper, their exam will stand cancelled.
Q: Â What type of questions are there in the NEET question papers?
Q: Â Do all the Sets of NEET question papers carry the same questions?
Although the questions are the same in all Sets of the NEET question paper, the order of the sections and questions vary from set to set. The different order of the sections and questions ensure that there is no malpractice conducted during the exam. Even if some questions are absolutely different in separate Sets or languages, the topics and chapters covered and difficulty level remain similar to ensure normalisation. Hence, it can be said that NTA Sets a common question paper carrying 200 questions, after which the questions are distributed across four Sets and six subsets of the NEET question paper. The subjects, and the questions within the subjects are shuffled for each of the NEET question paper Sets. This allows a parity in terms of topics covered and difficulty level, as well as allows avoidance of malpractice.

Q: Â What is the total number of questions in NEET?
The total number of questions in the NEET question paper is 200, out of which 180 questions will have to be attempted. Each of the three NEET subjects will be divided into two sections and each subject will carry an equal weightage. While Section A carries 35 questions, 15 questions are there in Section B. While all 35 questions have to be attempted in Section A, 10 out of 15 questions will have to be attempted in Section B. Test-takers must ensure that they do not attempt any extra question in Section B. Although there will not be any penalty in terms of marks, it would incur loss of time.
Q: Â What are the languages in which NEET will be conducted?
NEET will be conducted in 13 languages. Till 2020, NEET was held in 11 languages. NTA increased the number of languages or medium to 13 from 2021 onwards. Malayalam and Punjabi are the latest additions. The list of languages are as follows:
- English
- Hindi
- Bengali
- Urdu
- Assamese
- Gujarati
- Marathi
- Odia
- Kannada
- Tamil
- Malayalam
- Punjabi
- Telugu.
Q: Â Will there be negative marking in NEET?
Yes, the NEET examination pattern suggests that there will be negative marking. For every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted and 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer. However, negative marking will not be applicable for the unattempted or extra attempted questions. Since there is a negative marking scheme for wrong answers, candidates must answer questions carefully and select the questions carefully which they are sure about the accuracy.

Q: Â How should I analyse my NEET mock tests?
NEET 2025 mock tests must be analysed by the mentors of experts after the tests where they would point out the mistakes and suggest rectifications. They would also help in improving a faster and more effective way to solve a particular question. The analysis will help students identify their strong and weak areas and based on this, a better and improved preparation strategy would be suggested to them by the experts. Abiding the feedback based on the NEET 2025 mock test analysis will help improve their performance. At the last month before the test, there is not much scope left for the preparation. Hence, at the last few days before the exam, after the analysis of NEET mock test, aspirants should focus on finalising the test-taking strategy.
Q: Â What is the ideal time and method to take NEET mock tests?
Q: Â Should I opt for sectional or full-length mock test for NEET?

Q: Â I want to select English as the language of my NEET question paper. Which city should I choose?
You can choose any exam centre of NEET 2025. English is available at centres across the country. English is a universal language and medium of NEET question paper. The exam city selection option becomes limited once candidates choose a regional language, except Hindi. Apart from the medium of the question factor, the other factor that plays a role in the NEET exam centre city selection is the permanent and present address selected by candidates during the application process.
Q: Â I want to choose Marathi as the medium for NEET Question Paper. Can I choose Delhi as my NEET exam centre?
No, NTA has notified language-wise exam city demarcation. Regional languages are restricted by geographical boundaries. Hence, if you want to choose Marathi as the medium of examination, you will have to choose a NEET test centre in Maharashtra or other Marathi speaking states such as Goa or Gujarat. Another situation where you can select the NEET exam city in Delhi while opting for NEET Marathi question paper is to give a Delhi address as your permanent or present address. Candidates choosing Delhi as a NEET exam centre can choose English Hindi Punjabi and Urdu question paper mediums.
Q: Â When is the right time to start solving the NEET question papers for preparation?
Q: Â I marked two answers for a question in NEET. One of the answers is correct. Will I get full marks for this question?
According to the NEET exam pattern, a question for which more than one response is marked on the OMR sheet will be considered incorrect. For such questions, one mark would be deducted. Hence, candidates should be careful while answering on the OMR sheet. They should solve the questions separately on the space provided for rough work, and then shade the answer option on the OMR sheet to avoid such errors. Revision after completing the exam is also important.
Q: Â What should I do if I get a low score in NEET mock test or after solving previous years' NEET question papers?
If students are unable to get a good score in NEET mock tests or question papers, the first step is to identify the problem areas and work on those to improve. After identifying the weak areas, they should take help of their teachers to know how to improve the weaknesses and methods of revision and practice. First, they should understand the reason for not scoring well in those areas. It could either be lack of conceptual understanding, or silly mistakes. In case of the former, they should go back to the basics and study each chapter and topics carefully. They must not leave any doubt or query unattended. In case, it is the latter, students should practice more with a better focus and concentration to avoid unnecessary errors.
