Registration for special stray vacancy round-3 UP NEET 2024 counselling started on December 23, 2024. Last date for registration is December 24, 2024. Merit list for special vacancy round-3 was released on December 23, 2024. Choices can be declared from December 23 to December 26, 2024. Seat allotment result for round-3 will be announced on December 26, 2024.

The merit list for UP MBBS/BDS admission comprises eligible candidates for counselling rounds. Candidates have to declare preference for choices for college and course for seat allotment. It must be noted UP NEET counselling 2024 will be held for allotment of 85% seats. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET 2024 counselling for allotment of rest 15% All India Quota seats. Qualifying NEET 2024 with the minimum cut off is mandatory criteria for the counselling. 

UP NEET 2024 counselling will take place in three rounds. The third round will be an open round or mop-up round. The seats left vacant after the first round DGME UP NEET UG 2024 counselling will be carried forward to the second round. 

It is important to note that admission to MBBS/ BDS courses offered by the medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh is done on the basis of the marks scored in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test only. No other entrance test will be conducted by the state for this purpose. Seats are allotted based on choices filled, NEET score, reservation factors etc.

Stages of UP NEET Counselling 2024

To participate in the NEET Uttar Pradesh counselling 2024, a candidate must follow the below-mentioned steps:

Registration – All those candidates who wish to participate in the UP NEET Counselling 2024 have to register themselves on the official website  https://upneet.gov.in/

Candidates have to register only once for the counselling of UP NEET 2024. Candidates who have registered for the first round do not have to register again for the second round.

For successful registration, a fee of INR 2,000 has to be paid. This registration fee can be paid via credit card/ debit card/ net banking.

Security Money – After completing the registration process, candidates have to pay a refundable security deposit or “security money”. This security money has to be paid via a Demand Draft in favour of “Director General, Medical Education & Training, U.P”, payable at Lucknow. The security money differs for the candidates who wish to participate for private or government colleges. The amount of security money also differs for medical and dental courses. Candidates can refer to the table given below for information on the security money:

Verification of Documents – After successful registration and deposition of the security money, a candidate needs to report to the nodal centres for verification of documents. If a candidate fails to report to the respective nodal centre in the stipulated time, their seat will be given to the candidate next in line. Only after the successful verification of the documents, a candidate will be able to proceed to the next stage of UP NEET counselling 2024.

Choice Filling and Locking – Post the verification of documents, candidates have to log in on the UP MBBS counselling 2024 official website and choose the desired colleges in order of preference. A step-by-step guide for the choice filling and locking process in the counselling of UP NEET 2024 are given below:

  • Login: One has to login using the NEET 2024 roll number and password. An OTP will be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile number
  • Choice Filling: A list of colleges will appear on the screen. Candidate must choose the desired colleges in the order of preference. Those applying for private and minority colleges should check all the information about the colleges and their fee structure before selecting them. After choosing the preferred colleges, a candidate must save the selection to proceed further.
  • Locking of the options: The choices must be locked and submitted before the deadline. For the candidates who fail to submit the final choices, their application will not be considered for NEET Uttar Pradesh counselling 2024.
  • Seat allotment list: Once the choices are submitted, DMET reviews all the applications and forms merit list or seat allotment list for the selected candidates.
  • Reporting to the college allotted: Those who want to continue with the seat allotted to them in the UP NEET 2024 counselling, need to report to the college allotted to them. They must report to the college before the last date and must carry the relevant documents with them.

Candidates have to carry the following documents to the respective nodal centres for verification. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the seat allocated.

A:

Registration for round-3 UP NEET 2024 counselling began on October 7, 2024. Candidates have to register on the official website and submit application form for UP NEET admission. The last date for registration for round-3 UP NEET 2024 counselling was October 9, 2024. Merit list for round-3 counselling was released on October 10, 2024. Result for UP NEET counselling 2024 round-3 was declared on October 18, 2024. A total of 3 rounds of counselling will be held for seat allotment.

Q:   How many choices can be declared for UP NEET seat allotment?

A:

There is no capping on number of choices for UP NEET counselling. Candidates can declare n number of choices in order of their preferences. Choice has to be locked in the given deadline otherwise it gets automatically locked. Seats will not be allotted if candidates don't declare choices.

Q:   What is the fees for government and private medical seats in Uttar Pradesh MBBS admission 2024?

A:

Candidates who wish to take admission to government medical colleges will have to deposit INR 30,000 as security money. This will be adjusted against the course fee. Those who seek admission in private medical colleges, they will have to pay INR 2,00, 000. For both government and private medical seats, candidates will have to pay INR 2,00,000.

Q:   How many rounds will be conducted in UP NEET counselling 2024?

A:

DGME, Lucknow will conduct total three counselling rounds including a mop-up round for the allocation of seats to the candidate. Candidates will have to register with login credentials generated during application process. After registration, choice of college and course will have to be selected and lock them in. Q:   What is the seat matrix for UP MBBS counselling 2024?

Counseling will be held for allotment of 6,428 MBBS and 2,251 BDS seats in 32 medical and 23 dental colleges across the state. Q:   Do I need to register again in second round UP NEET 2024 counselling?

A:

No. Candidates who have already registered in round-1 UP NEET counselling 2024 don't need to register again. Registration can be done on the official website, upneet.gov.in. Registration will be completed only when registration fee (both refundable and non refundable) are paid. Candidates will have to pay INR 2,000 as non refundable fee for registration.

Yes, it is mandatory to qualify NEET 2024 to participate in the counselling process. Admission to all UG medical and dental courses in India will be done on the basis of NEET 2024 result only. Based on NEET 2024 score, a state merit list will be released. Candidates included in the merit list will be eligible to participate in UP NEET counselling 2024.
