According to the official website, the official release time of GATE hall ticket 2026 was 2:45 pm. Students can download their admit card now using their login credentials. Candidates are advised to keep their credentials ready before downloading their admit card.

Students appearing for the exam must go through the guidelines mentioned on admit card. It exam timings, required documents, prohibited items, etc. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be conducted in two sessions for all 30 papers. No late entry will be allowed under any circumstances. Therefore, students must reach the GATE exam centre at least 90 minutes before the commencement of exam.

At the time of reporting, students must keep the following things in mind -

• Candidates must report to the centre at least 90 minutes before the exam time.
• Documents required for verification: admit card and valid ID proof (the ID proof must be original and must be the same as the one submitted at the time of registration)
• PwD candidates can carry their assistive devices to centre and show them for scrutiny. Students who have applied for scribe will get an hour of compensatory time to complete exam.
• Biometric and document verification will be done at the entry. If all details are correct, candidates will be allowed inside the exam hall.
• Late entry will not be accepted at any cost. 

GATE Exam Hall Instructions

Inside the GATE 2026 exam hall, students will have to maintain discipline and decorum. The details regarding hall instructions have been mentioned in the admit card of GATE 2026. Candidates can check below-

• Candidates must sit at the desktop/system that is allocated to them.
• Students can log in 20 minutes before the start of the exam to read instructions on how to attempt questions. 
• A scribble pad will be provided to students for doing rough work. Candidates will have to enter their registration number and name before using it.
• Candidates must not leave the exam hall before the end time.
• Any request to bring medications from outside will not be entertained.

Candidates must carry the following documents and item with them along with GATE hall ticket-
