NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2025: National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) is expected to release the application for NTPC recruitment through GATE 2025 tentatively in the third week of May 2025. Candidates will be allowed to apply for the Engineering Executive Graduates vacancies till the second week of June 2025.

NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2025 offers recruitment of Engineering Executive Graduates through GATE 2025. Graduate engineers in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Electronics engineers can apply for the NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2025. Shortlisting will be based on the GATE 2025 scores only. National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) is an Indian Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for admission to Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech), and direct PhD programs in engineering, architecture, and related branches of science.

The eligibility criteria for GATE include passing a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or basic Science from a recognised university, and meeting the specific eligibility criteria for the discipline you wish to pursue. Candidates from India and other countries can apply for GATE, but they must meet the eligibility criteria. The exam is conducted online and is offered in 30 subjects. Q:   How much percentage is required for admission to IIT Kharagpur?

A:

The minimum percentage required for admission to IIT Kharagpur is different for different courses. However, IIT Kharagpur admission is completely entrance-based. Q:   What are passing marks in GATE exam?

A:

Passing marks in GATE exam is different for all 30 papers. The GATE qualifying mark for PSUs recruitment is also different. Candidates appearing in any GATE paper have to obtain the minimum mark in order to be declared qualified for the exam. Only qualified candidates are considered for admission to MTech/MSc/PhD programs and the MHRD scholarship. NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil all the following eligibility conditions before applying for vacancies in the NTPC:

Age Limit

Candidates must be under 27 years on the last date of application in NTPC. The relaxation in the age limit of candidates belonging to reserved categories is as follows:

  • SC/ST - Age Limit - 32 years
  • OBC - Age Limit - 30 YEARS (Non-Creamy Layer)
  • PWD (General) - Age Limit - 37 years
  • PWD (OBC) - Age Limit - 40 years
  • PWD (SC/ST) - Age Limit - 42 years
  • Candidates who lived in Jammu and Kashmir from 01-Jan-1981 to 31-Dec-1990 - Age Limit - 32 years.
  • Relaxation for Ex-servicemen (XSM) will be according to the Government of India norms

Marks in Graduation

  • A candidate must score at least 65% in a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE.
  • For SC, ST and PWD candidates, the minimum qualifying percentage is reduced in the qualifying degree to 55%.
  • All candidates must be declared medically fit by the NTPC medical board, and no relaxation of health standards will be entertained.

NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2025: Application Process

  • All candidates need to deposit the application fees at an SBI bank before applying online
  • The candidates will be required to apply online by logging in to the official website: www.ntpccareers.net 
  • After logging in and entering all the details in the application form, candidates must upload their passport-size photograph in jpg/jpeg format not exceeding 500kb.
  • A Unique Registration Number will be generated after successfully completing the registration process.

Q:   Who is eligible for M.Tech at IIT Kharagpur?

A:

To be eligible for IIT Kharagpur's Joint MTech/MCP PhD programme, candidates need a BE/BTech/BArch degree or a master's in Science/Arts with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST/PwD). Qualifications from exams by recognised professional societies are also accepted. Applicants must have a valid GATE score relevant to their qualifying discipline, and in the absence of a specific GATE paper, XE/XL/XH papers can be considered. NET-qualified candidates with a fellowship in MA/MSc Economics/Sociology/Geography, having studied Mathematics/Statistics, are eligible for MCP-PhD. A master's in Science requires a 60% or above aggregate (55% for Arts/Social Science subjects). GATE is the accepted entrance exam.

Q:   Can I get admission at IIT Kharagpur without JEE?

A:

The answer is no. It is possible to get admission in any IIT with JEE Main score provided a student also qualifies the JEE Advanced exam. As per the official details of IIT Kharagpur admission, admission to IIT KGP fBTech programme is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA Counselling. Additionally, students must have also completed their Class 12 with 75% aggregate (for the General category).

However, there are other courses offered at IIT Kharagpur which does not require a student to have a score in JEE Advanced, such as LLM, PhD and MBA. If the dream is just to study at IIT Kharagpur, students can also opt for other courses basis their current eligibility and course requirements.

Q:   What is the eligibility for GATE examination?

A:

Candidates with a bachelor's degree in engineering/technology/architecture or a master's degree in science/mathematics/statistics or computer Science are eligible to apply for GATE exam. Q:   Can I join IIT Kharagpur after 12th?

A:

Yes, you can join IIT Kharagpur after completing your 12th grade. To be eligible for B.Tech, B.A, or B.Arch admissions at IIT Kharagpur, students must have passed Class 12th from a recognised board with a minimum of 75% marks in the Science stream. The admission process involves shortlisting based on national-level entrance exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Once shortlisted, students need to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling for final seat allocation.

Q:   How many GATE exam centres can a candidate choose?

A:

A candidate can choose at least three exam cities while filling the GATE application form. NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2025: Selection Process

The candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in GATE. Group discussions and personal interviews will be conducted with those who have successfully passed the hurdle GATE. A merit list will be prepared after the evaluation of the minimum qualifying marks in GD and Interview.

NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2025: Job Profile

Once the candidates are shortlisted, they will undergo one year of training before the final posting which will be based on performance during training and requirements. Candidates can be assigned any projects or subsidiary functions of NTPC across India.

Salary Description

The consolidated remuneration for this post is as follows:

The successful candidates are entitled to a salary of Rs. 24,900-3% -50,500 at the basic pay of Rs 24,900. After completing training, candidates will be designated as assistant managers on the pay scale of Rs 24,900-3% -50,500 at basic pay of Rs 25,650/.

All selected candidates are entitled to numerous allowances, such as a dearness allowance, medical benefits, provident fund, gratuity, etc., as per the company rules.
