Candidates must note that the last date to apply for admission is today; i.e. January 7, 2022. Interested candidates can apply for the programmes at ignou.nta.nic.in. 

IGNOU PhD Admissions 2021: The National Testing Agency will end the registration process for IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam 2021 today; i.e. January 7, 2022. All those candidates who have not applied until now for PhD entrance exam are advised to apply online through the official site of IGNOU on ignou.ac.in. The registration date was extended from December 31 to January 7, 2022. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct entrance examinations for admission to the PhD courses offered by the university on January 16, 2022. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours and the timings would be 10am to 1pm. The last date for payment of the application fee is till January 8, 2022, and the correction in the application form can be done by candidates from January 9 to January 11, 2022.

IGNOU PhD admission: How to apply

Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to apply to IGNOU PhD Admission 2021

  • Go to official website of ignou; i.e. ignou.ac.in
  • Apply for online registration using email Id and mobile number
  • Fill in the online application form
  • Note down the system generated application number
  • Upload scanned images of a recent photograph, candidate’s signature, PwD certificate (if any)
  • Pay fee through net banking or debit card or credit card or UPI and keep proof of fee paid
  • Download the application form
  • Take a printout of the form for future reference

IGNOU PhD Admissions 2021: Eligibility criteria

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria for admission to PhD programme below:

Master's Degree from a University recognized by UGC in the relevant discipline with at least 55 per cent marks ( for General Category) in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and 50 per cent marks in the case of SC,ST and OBC(Non-creamy Layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's Degree prior to September 19, 1991] excluding grace marks.
