Joint Entrance for Mater of Science Nursing (JEMScN) 2024 is a popular nursing exam conducted annually by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The JEMScN 2024 exam is the gateway to seeking admission to the postgraduate course MSc. in Nursing. It is mandatory for the students seeking admission to nursing colleges in the state of West Bengal to apply for the JEMScN 2024 exam. Candidates across India can apply for admission to the JEMScN 2024 exam.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts counselling for admission to MSc-Nursing Course in various Govt. and Self-Financed Institutes in the State of West Bengal. The entire counselling process was web-based online counselling (e-counselling). The JEMScN counselling registration, payment of the registration fee and choice filling was the first step to participate in the 2024 counselling. The JEMScN 2024 choice filling including choice locking was done online. The JEMScN 2024 seat allotment result was released online. WBJEEB conducted two rounds of counselling to grant admission to the candidates. It is crucial to report to the allotted institutes for document verification and admission after the announcement of JEMScN seat allotment result. 

Documents Required for JEMScN Counselling 2024

The list of documents required at the time of JEMScN 2024 counselling: 

1. Provisional Seat Allotment Letter
2. JEMScN Rank card 
3. Class 10 admit card/birth certificate for verification of date of birth
4. Mark sheets of all semesters of the qualifying examination
5. Nursing certificate 
6. Respective category certificate (if applicable)
7. PwD Candidates: Respective category certificate (if applicable)
8. Mobile phone with the same MOBILE number registered during application to receive OTP at the final stage of admission confirmation. 

The JEMScN 2024 result was released by WBJEEB on its official website on August 21, 2024. The JEMScN result was shared in the form of Rank Cards. All the candidates who appeared for the exam could access/download their JEMScN rank card by logging into their registered account at the official website. Candidates are advised to save the copy of the result in hardcopy for reference purposes during the counselling process to be held by the respective colleges. The JEMScN 2024 result is valid for this particular academic session only.

JEMScN 2024 application process was conducted in online mode. The application form for the JEMScN 2024 exam was released on April 23, 2024, on the official website. Candidates interested in applying for MSc Nursing were required to visit the wbjee.nic.in to complete the registration process. The last date to register for the JEMScN exam was May 8, 2024. 

After filling out the JEMScN 2024 registration form, candidates had to pay a mandatory JEMScN 2024 application fee of INR 3000/- + bank charges. The last day to fill the JEMScN 2024 application form was May 8, 2024. WJEEB opened the application correction facility for the candidates to allow them to make changes to the JEMScN 2024 registration form between May 10 to 11, 2024. 

The JEMScN 2024 admit card was released on the official website by WBJEEB for the candidates who successfully registered for the JEMScN 2024 MSc nursing exam. The authority released the admit card for JEMScN 2024 online mode on June 21, 2024. Candidates could download the JEMScN 2024 admit card from the official website by providing their ‘Application Number’ and ‘Date of Birth' details. The last date to download the admit card was exam day which was June 30, 2024. 

The JEMScN 2024 admit card is a mandatory document required at the JEMScN exam center as an identity proof of the candidate. The JEMScN 2024 admit card specifies details such as roll number, exam date, exam timings, and address of the exam among other important details. Candidates must note that the last date to download the JEMScN admit card will be the exam date post which the admit card downloading window was closed.

2. Enter the JEMScN admit card link available on the page
3. Enter the login credentials which are application number & date of birth followed by security code
4. Download the JEMScN admit card and save it for future use.

JEMScN 2024 syllabus comprises important topics based on the course that candidates have studied in BSc Nursing. There will be two parts of the entrance exam. Part A will carry questions from topics such as Anatomy, Microbiology, Administration, Pharmacology, Education, Pathology, etc. In the second part of the JEMScN exam, questions from areas such as Medical-Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Foundation of Nursing, and Obstetrical Nursing was seen in the exam.

JEMScN 2024 exam pattern was released by the exam conducting body i.e. WBJEEB. The JEMScN 2024 exam duration is 90 minutes. It is an offline exam where candidates were provided OMR sheets to fill in the choices. Candidates were required to carry blue/black ball pens to fill in the choices. Once filled, the response cannot be changed in the JEMScN 2024 answer sheet. As per the marking scheme, there were 100 questions of one mark each in the JEMScN exam. There were objective questions in the JEMScN exam. Each question carried four options (MCQs). Each correct response invited a +1 mark and each incorrect option lead to a deduction of a -1/4 mark in the exam. Candidates are advised to refrain from making the wrong choice. JEMScN 2024 carried two parts. In part A, 40 questions were given to test the aptitude of the aspirant. In Part B, there were 60 questions. All the questions were asked in the English language.
