SBI Clerk 2024-25: The State Bank of India (SBI) activated the link to fill the application form for SBI Clerk 2024-25 exam on December 17, 2024. A total of 14,194 vacancies are to be filled through SBI Clerk recruitment 2024-25. The last date to fill SBI Clerk application form 2024-25 is January 7, 2025. Any graduate candidate can apply for SBI Clerk 2024-25 exam. SBI Clerk Notification 2024 was released on December 16, 2024 in PDF form and comprises the important details related to the exam. 

SBI Clerk 2024-25 exam dates have been announced. The prelims exam of SBI Clerk 2024-25 will be conducted in February 2025 for all the registered candidates. The mains exam will be conducted in March/April 2025 for the qualified candidates of prelims exam. The selection process comprises prelims exam and mains exam followed by Language Proficiency Test.

Earlier, SBI had also released a notification for special recruitment drive for Ladakh UT including Leh & Kargil Valley (Chandigarh Circle). The application form is available till December 27, 2024. The prelims exam of SBI Clerk 2024 will be conducted in January 2025 for all the registered candidates. The mains exam will be conducted in February 2025. Q:   What is SBI Clerk Eligibility?

A:

SBI Clerk criteria:- A candidate who is aspiring to apply for the SBI Clerk exam must be an Indian citizen. Candidates must fulfill the following educational requirements to apply for the SBI Clerk Prelims examination. 1.Prospective candidates must have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government. They must make sure the passing certificate shows the date the relevant degree was earned. 2.Candidates who have an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing of the IDD is as per the guidelines given in the notification. 3.Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination  4.As per the SBI Clerk qualification criteria, the candidates need to mandatorily indicate the percentage theyve obtained in the Graduation degree and calculate it to the nearest two decimals in the online application form. 5.For Matriculate Ex-servicemen, prospective applicants should have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force, after completing at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union. Age limit:- Not below 20 years and not above 28 years i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2002 (both days inclusive). The details regarding the age limit and the relaxation in upper age are clearly given in the official notification. Candidates must go through the notification in detail and check the eligibility criteria. Relaxation is given to the various categories for the SBI Clerk exam. SC/ST - 5yeras OBC 3 years PWD (Gen/EWS) 10 years PWD(ST/ST) 15 years PWS(OBC) 13 years Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled Ex-Servicemen - The actual period of service rendered in defense services + 3 years, (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to max. age of 50 years Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands & who are not remarried - 7 years (subject to maximum age limit of 35 years for General/ EWS, 38 years for OBC & 40 years for SC/ST candidates) Note: 1.Candidates who seek age relaxation are required to submit copies of the necessary certificate at the time of admission.

What is SBI Clerk Exam?

SBI Clerk exam is conducted by SBI every year to recruit candidates for Clerical Cadre posts. Every year a large number of graduate candidates apply for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales). Candidates who are recruited as SBI clerks are designated as cashiers, depositors and other posts that form the face of a particular SBI Bank branch. 

The selection process is divided into two stages-preliminary and mains exams. However, candidates applying for the vacancies of a particular state should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State/UT/Special area. The test for knowledge of the specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online main examination but before joining the Bank. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered an appointment. 

Candidates selected through SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) are responsible for all the client interactions and related operations. They are basically designated as cashiers, depositors, etc.

SBI Clerk Apply Online 2024-25

SBI Clerk 2024-25 application form is available now. Candidates who meet the eligibility parameters are required to submit the application form online only. SBI Clerk application process comprises stages such as registration, uploading of scanned photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form, previewing the application, uploading left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration. The application fee is INR 750 and can be paid online only. SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS candidates are exempted from paying the application fees.

SBI Clerk Apply Online: Specifications for Uploading Documents

The dimensions for uploading photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration are given below:

  • The dimension of the signature should be 140 x 60 pixels

Left Thumb Impression

Candidates are required to put their left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink

  • The file type should be jpg/jpeg format
  • The dimension of the left thumb impression should be 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI i.e 3 cm x 3 cm (Width x Height)
  • The size of the file should be 20 kb-50 kb

Handwritten Declaration

  • The handwritten declaration should be written in English only on a white paper with black ink

SBI Clerk admit card is released online separately for prelims and mains exam. Candidates are required to download the SBI Clerk admit card for different stages of recruitment from the official website. To download SBI Clerk admit card, candidates need to enter the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The steps to download SBI Clerk admit card are given below:

Appearing in SBI Clerk Exam

This is the first stage of SBI Clerk selection process. The preliminary exam is an objective-type test for 100 marks. The duration of the test is one hour. Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies are selected for the mains exam. The mains exam comprises four sections and the total marks of the test are 200. Candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate, while five per cent relaxation is provided to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates. The merit list is prepared state-wise and category-wise. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are placed according to their aggregate marks in the list, in descending order, as per their respective states and categories.

Declaration of Result 

SBI Clerk result is announced online on the official website. SBI Clerk result displays the qualifying status of the candidates. To qualify the exam, candidates need to secure the required category-wise and state-wise SBI Clerk cutoff marks. The steps to check SBI Clerk result are given below:

Test of Specified Opted Local Language

Candidates have to appear for the test of specified local language opted for at the time of applying. Only candidates qualifying the mains exam are required to appear for the test. Candidates not found proficient in the opted local language are disqualified from the recruitment process. Candidates who have studied the specified local language in Classes 10 and 12 are not required to appear in the local language test. In the case of others, the local language test is compulsory. 

Final Selection

This is subject to qualifying the opted local language test and document verification. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam are not considered for selection. The merit list is prepared based on the marks of the mains exam only.

SBI Clerk admit card 2024-25 will be released online separately for prelims and mains exams. The link to download the admit card is made available on the official website. However, we will provide the direct link to download the admit card. Candidates can download SBI Clerk admit card by logging with registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. SBI Clerk admit card mention details such as the candidate's name, roll number, date of birth, details related to the exam centres, etc. Candidates need to carry the printed copy of their admit cards along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre.

SBI Clerk Exam Day Guidelines 

The exam day guidelines related to SBI Clerk exam are given below:

  • Candidates are required to carry the printed copy of their admit cards to the exam centre. Along with the SBI Clerk admit card, candidates are required to bring a valid photo-identity proof such as PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving License/Voter’s Card/Photo Identity proof with photograph issued by a Gazetted Officer (on official letterhead)/Photo Identity proof issued by a People’s Representative along with a photograph (on official letterhead)/Identity Card issued by a recognised College/ University/Aadhar/E-Aadhar Card with a photograph /Bar Council ID Card with photograph/Employee ID) in original as well as a photocopy. Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof 
  • Candidates are required to carry two additional passport-size photographs to the exam centre
  • Candidates are required to keep the printed copy of SBI Clerk prelims admit card and authenticated photo-identity proof safely. If selected for the mains exam, candidates are required to show the prelims admit card, as well as the mains, admit card to the invigilator
  • Registration at the exam centre is done through photo capture. The photo captured is matched with the photo uploaded by the candidates in the application form
  • Candidates must bring stationery such as pencils, glue, eraser and ballpoint pen with them to the examination hall
  • Electronic items are not allowed inside the exam centre
  • Candidates must wear light clothes which cannot be used for hiding any instruments or communication devices

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2024-25

SBI Clerk exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam. The exam pattern is divided into two phases: preliminary and mains exam. The prelims exam comprises three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The mains exam comprises four sections: General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The mains exam carries a total of 200 marks. There are negative marks for wrong answers in SBI Clerk exam. 1/4th marks are deducted for wrong answers. The marks are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers.

What is the Salary of SBI Clerk?

The salary break-up of SBI Clerk is given below:

Pay Scale: The salary of SBI Clerk was revised. The pay scale is INR 17,900-1000/3-20,900-1230/3-24,590-1490/4-30,550-1730/7-42,600-3270/1-45,930-1990/1-47,920. The starting basic pay is INR 19,900 (INR 17,900 plus two increments to graduates). Earlier, the starting basic pay was INR 13,075 (INR 11,765 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates). 

Emoluments: INR 29,000 per month inclusive of Dearness Allowance (DA) (in metro cities) other allowances and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate Junior Associates.
