There are over 50 posts in the TPSC Group 2A services. The Commission notifies the names of all the posts in the official notification. There are five salary levels assigned to these services differing from post to post.

TNPSC Group 2 Salary - Dearness Allowance
Dearness Allowance (DA) is the most important component of any salary calculation. The DA corresponds to the pertaining inflation in the state. It is increased from time to time to cope up with the increase in inflation. The DA is decided by the state government and it is same across the state. The state government increased the DA from 31 to 34 per cent from July 2022.
TNPSC Group 2 Salary - Travelling Allowance
It differs from city to city. The employees get a travelling allowance for the daily travel from home to the office as a fixed component in their salary. The employee gets a lumpsum amount on a monthly basis which is added to the salary calculations.
TNPSC Group 2 Salary - Medical Allowance
This differs from department to department. Some of the department provides such allowance. It is a small component in the TNPSC Group 2 salary.
TNPSC Group 2 In-Hand Salary
The candidates should note that TNPSC Group 2 in-hand salary will be calculated after adding the basic salary and the allowances provided by the state government. Recently the state government has increased the dearness allowance from 31 to 34 per cent.
TNPSC Group 2 In-hand Salary Calculation
The candidates can calculate the TNPSC Group 2 in-hand salary as per the formula given below:
Salary Level + Dearness Allowances (34 per cent of the Basic Salary)+ Travelling Allowance (if applicable) + Medical Allowance (If permissible) - Deductions
Through the above calculation, we can calculate the salary of any employee. The TNPSC Group 2 in-hand salary will be around 70,000 at the initial stage (Pay level 18).
