Q:   How do I select the domain subjects for CUET UG?

A:

Before selecting the test or domain subjects, candidates are advised to visit the official website of university/organaisation they wish to apply for. Candidates must check the courses offered and eligibility test that they should appear in for admission to desired course. The choice of language/domain subject and General test will depend upon the course and university. Candidates will be able to opt for one or more tests as per the requirement of the course and university from the following sections:

  • Section I - 13 Languages
  • Section II - 23 Domain Specific Subjects
  • Section III - General Test

It is not mandatory to choose any one or more of the tests stated above. The choice of tests would depend on the course/s opted by the candidate and the University / Organization / Institution where admission is sought. 

Q:   Does CUET require OBC certificate?

A:

Yes, OBC candidates applying for CUET must upload the OBC-NCL certificate in online CUET application form. The OBC-NCL certificate must be issued in consonance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India. If candidate fail to upload the OBC-NCL certificate (issued on or after 01 April, 2024) at the time of CUET 2025 registration, then in such case they will have to upload a declaration in lieu of OBC-NCl certificate to that effect. 

Candidates belonging to reserved categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by Government of India. However, in the case of central universities admission, the reservation criteria of the respective university shall be applicable.

Q:   How do I apply for a college which requires CUET percentage even though am yet to give CUET?

A:

Candidates can apply for CUET score accepting colleges through CUET UG 2025 application form. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to enter the name of the preffered universities and courses in order of preference. On declaration of the CUET results, the scores will be shared with the unoversities for which candidate has applied. Basis on the score obtained candidate will be shortlisted for the applied course.

These include Siksha Bhavana (Institute of Science), Vinaya Bhavana (Institute of Education and Physical Education), Palli Samgathana Vibhaga (Institute of Rural Reconstruction), Palli Siksha Bhavana (Institute of Agriculture Science), Bhasha Bhavana (Institute of Languages, Literature and Culture), Vidya Bhavana (Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences), Kala Bhavana (Institute of Fine Arts), and Sangit Bhavana (Institute of Music, Dance and Drama). Each Vibhaga/Bhavana offers different undergraduate programmes.

Q:   When can I apply for the CUET exam?

A:

National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the CUET UG 2025 registrations at cuetug.ntaonline.in. Candidates desirous of taking admission to University/college through CUET must fill the application form before the deadline. On the release of the CUET notification important dates for CUET 2025 will be announced. CUET 2025 application process will be in online mode. Candidates will be required to fill the application form, upload documents and pay the application fee in online mode only. CUET is a gateway to more tahn 250 universities across India for its UG courses.

Q:   How many subjects can I choose for the CUET exam?

A:

From CUET UG 2025 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th.

Q:   Can I opt for several subjects in section II of CUET to apply for various courses?

A:

Yes, an CUET applicant can opt for one or more combinations of the following:

  • Section I: Language Test
  • Section II: Domain subject test
  • Section III: General Aptitude Test

Candidates will be able to opt up to a maximum of five subjects in order to apply to different applicable courses that require these subjects for being eligible for admissions. Candidates can choose subjects irrresptive of subjects studied in 12th grade under their eligibility conditions for a particular programme.

Q:   What is the criteria for admission via CUET exam?

A:

For admission in Universities through CUET (UG) - 2025, the existing policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences etc.. of the respective University / Institution shall be applicable. For appearing in CUET exam there is no age limit, however, candidates will be required to follow the age criteria (if any) prescribed the university in which candidate is desirous of taking admission. As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs.

Mere appearance in the CUET exam will not guarantee admission to the programme untill the candidates has:

  • Studied subject (s) in major
  • Fulfilled the subject combination criteria

How to apply for CUET UG 2025 Visva Bharati University?

After registering yourself at Visva Bharati University, you have to log in once again to fill out the application form. To do so, follow the given below steps carefully:

Step 1: Click on the tab “Online Application Form”. Application Form page will open up.

Step 2: Under the "Registered User Login" Enter your CUET Application Number as username.

Step 3: Enter your secret password.

Step 4: Enter the Captcha & click on login.

Step 5: Click on “Complete Profile” to fill in the registration details (Profile, Other and document upload)

Step 6: Click on the tab "Apply in Programme".

Step 7: An 8-9 step Application Form will appear on the screen. Fill in the details accurately on each page and click on "Save and Next". The following information will be asked:

  • Programme selection
  • Preview of the personal details
  • Academic details
  • Other details
  • Uploading of the documents (Document/Certificate/Marksheet related size of the digital photo must be within 10 to 500kb limit.)
  • Preview your Application
  • Select payment gateway and make the Payment. 

Step 8: Once the payment has been received by the University through the payment gateway, your Application Process will be complete.
