FRI Entrance Test 2023 was conducted successfully on May 21, 2023, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on virtual/ online invigilation mode. FRI Entrance Exam 2023 Results declared in the month of June. Candidates can download their scorecards by logging in with their User ID and password. The Counselling session was conducted once the results have been announced and students have been shortlisted for admission to the programmes and courses offered at the varsity.
Qualified candidates would have to participate in the FRI Entrance Exam counselling process 2023 which commenced on July 10 onwards (first round). There was two round of counselling for the post-graduate courses. The second round of counselling started from July 13. After the counselling process gets over, the new academic session 2023 will commence. New session started from July 17.

Documents Required for Counselling
Candidates who have been shortlisted for admission basis their performance in the written entrance exam need to appear for counselling as per the schedule and time shared with them. At the time of FRI counselling, candidates need to appear in person and pay the admission fee. Apart from this, candidates also need to submit the below-mentioned documents:

The official website of FRI informs: "The candidates called for admission have to produce original certificates, mark sheet etc. before the payment of fees. However in cases where the original mark sheet indicates clearly that the candidate have passed the qualifying examination prescribed for admission he/she be admitted on the condition that he/she shall produce the original degree/provisional degree within one month failing which his /her admission is liable to be
cancelled. There can be no appeal to any authority if the candidate fails to produce the original documents at the time of admission".

Q. Where do I have to submit my documents?
A. Candidates will have to upload their documents and send a mail to the Head of the concerned division of FRO Dehradun. The email ID will be mentioned once the notice has been released.
Q. How will the candidate be judged for admission to the course?
A. The candidates will be judged on the basis of their marks secured in the FRI Entrance Exam (70%) and Interview (30%).
Q. Where can I submit the fees?
A. The candidate will have to send their first semester fees via Demand Draft through post to the registered address in FRI Dehradun.
Q. What If I miss the date of counselling due to an emergency, who should I contact?
A. FRI Dehradun states that if a candidate misses out on the date and time of the counselling session, under no circumstance will the candidate be offered the seat, which will be given the next eligible candidate.
Q. Will I receive an admission letter?
A. Yes. Students who have successfully qualified and completed the admission formalities will be sent an admission letter confirming their admission to the course applied for.
Q. If I am on the waiting list, what are the chances of getting admission?
A. Admission will be done on the basis of seats being filled. If there are seats vacant for the course and students who are in the waiting list, will have complete the admission formalities. However, FRI Dehradun informs students that there is no guarantee of admission to the course concerned.
