Step 1: Know the GSAT pattern and marking scheme.

Step 2: Get the syllabus for the course applied for in GSAT.

Step 3: Get all the study material you can to prepare better for GSAT.

Step 4: Create a day to day and weekly time table on how much material you can study on a daily basis.

Step 5:  Try and solve as many question papers as you can, including sample papers and give mock tests to know your strengths and weaknesses.

How to prepare for GSAT 2021

Be it an undergraduate course or postgraduate course, Science is never easy to understand and requires plenty of preparation and practice. Subjects such as Mathematics and Physics require practice and calculations. Knowing the periodic table in chemistry also requires plenty of reading. It is not about stuffing material, but more about how you understand the topics and settles in. Computer applications deal with minute details and the more you practice, the more efficient you become. Here's how you can prepare well for GSAT.

Know the GSAT Pattern

One should know the GSAT exam pattern before sitting down to appear for the entrance exam. You should know the duration of GSAT, the GSAT mode and medium of the entrance exam. With different groups in GSAT, you should know how many marks Physics carries or how much will Mathematics carry.

Know the GSAT Marking Scheme

Students should know the marking scheme of the GSAT so that there is no problem when you receive the question paper. If you are not thorough with the exam pattern and marking scheme, it will be quite tough to prepare your plan before you get down to write. The best way to know the exam pattern is by reading the previous years question paper.

Know the GSAT Syllabus

Be it PAG group, PCM group, PCB group or any other, to perform and score well in the entrance exam, candidates have to thoroughly go through the prescribed syllabus. Strategize your plans on an hourly, daily and weekly basis. There is no success without hard work and in order to qualify for the entrance exam, you can prepare better by knowing which topics to cover in-depth and which sections will require superficial knowledge such as general studies.

Go through Prep Books

Get as many prep books as you get as Science requires plenty of practice and reading. Through prep books, you test yourself and also learn much more about the subject. The more you practice, the more efficient you become. Also, purchase prep books which cover topics from the syllabus. Also, buy books which is easier for you to understand. Do not get a book where information goes over your head.

Prepare a Time Table

Make a time table. How much time you can dedicate to Physics, how much time you need to solve your calculations. Be it any course you have applied for, make out a time table which covers all the topics mentioned in the GSAT syllabus. Chalk out a daily, weekly, monthly time table. Through this, your preparation is planned and ensures also that no topic is left out.

Refer to Past Years’ Question Papers

Try and attempt the previous years' question papers as you can understand the exam pattern, marking scheme and what type of questions are asked in the entrance exam. Try and finish the paper within the time duration. The more you challenge yourself, the more prepared you will be for the big day.

Solve Sample Papers and Mock Tests

Give mock tests a try. It will only test your abilities and help you realize what your strengths and weaknesses are. The more mock tests you attempt, the more you understand about the topics in the syllabus.
