The Rajasthan PTET exam is being held to provide admission to candidates in BEd, BA BEd and BSc BEd courses offered at colleges and universities in Rajasthan. What is the Purpose of the PTET Exam 2025?

Teaching is one of the noble professions in India and it is teachers who are responsible for nation-building because a skilled teacher acts as a guiding light, a force, and a path lighter for students. The purpose of the Rajasthan PTET is to evaluate the teaching aptitude and readiness of candidates for the B.Ed. program offered by various government institutes across the state of Rajasthan. By assessing candidates' readiness on various parameters like mental ability, teaching attitude, general awareness, and language proficiency, the test ensures that only qualified and competent individuals get admission into the teacher training programs. Which will in turn, help in maintaining the quality of education and producing skilled educators who can contribute to the educational development of the state.

Q:   What are the minimum passing marks for PTET exam?

A:

To increase the chances of their qualification candidates need to score the minimum passing marks for Ptet exam. The minimum passing marks is calculated on the basis of various factors such as difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates who appeared in the exam as well as the shifts in which the exam was conducted. As per previous year data, the minimum qualifying marks for General category candidates (Male) is 360-380 while the same for (Female) candidates is 330-340. The minimum passing marks for OBC canidates (Male) is 345-354 while that for Female candidates is 319-324. The minimum passing marks for SC candidates (Male) is 320-330 while tha same for Female candidates is 299-310.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the BEd courses offered at various colleges and universities located in Rajasthan by filling up the PTET application form 2025. Q:   Who is eligible for B Ed in Rajasthan?

A:

To be eligible to apply for Rajasthan BEd Admission 2024, candidates must have successfully completed their undergraduate or postgraduate degree. They must score a minimum of 50 - 55% marks in their undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree. There is no age restriction to apply for Rajasthan BEd Admission 2023. however, if candidates want to pursue their BEd degree from a govenrment college in Rajasthan they need to have qualify the PTET exam. 

Q:   What is the age limit for PTET 2024?

A:

Candidates must attain a minimum age of 21 years of for being eligibile to fill the PTET application form 2024. There is no upper age limit for the same and candidates who have a undergraduate or post graduate degree with a minimum of 50% in qualification can apply. For candidates belonging to reserved categories, there is a relaxation of 5% in the qualification marks.

PTET Eligibility Criteria 2025

To apply for the Rajasthan PTET 2025, candidates meet the minimum eligibility requirements. As per the official notification, candidates must have completed their Graduation or Post Graduation with 50% marks for general categories from a recognized institute. Candidates belonging to the SC ST, OBC, categories must graduate with a minimum of 45% marks.

PTET Exam Pattern 2025

To qualify for the exam, it is advised to go through the PTET exam pattern in detail to understand the sections, topics, and marking scheme of the exam. As per the official notification, the exam consists of a single paper with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into four sections: 

  1. Mental Ability:  In this section, candidates will be tested based on questions about reasoning and problem-solving skills. This section will include questions on topics like reasoning, imagination, judgment, and decision-making. 
  2. Teaching Attitude and Aptitude Test:  In this section candidates will assessed based on their attitude towards teaching and their potential to become effective educators. In this section, the questions might be based on topics such as - leadership, interpersonal relations, social maturity, and communication. 
  3. General Awareness:  This is also the high-scoring section for students who are aware of current affairs. In this section, the question will evaluate the candidate's knowledge of current events and general knowledge. The question from this section may be based on Indian history, culture, geography, economy, and scientific advancements. 
  4. Language Proficiency (Hindi/English):  In this section, candidates will be tested on their proficiency in either Hindi or English. However, the language selection is based on their choice. This section will have questions about grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and sentence formation. 

PTET Marking Scheme 2025

The Rajasthan PTET consists of 200 questions, with each question carrying 3 marks. The total marks for the exam are 600. There is no negative marking, which allows candidates to attempt all questions without the fear of losing marks for incorrect answers. The marking scheme is mentioned below -
