The culture of AMU is really good and Aligarh is the city of Tehzeeb .
Placements: Around 85% of students were placed last year. The highest package was 10 LPA and the lowest package was 3 LPA. A B.Sc. in Statistics can lead to careers in banking, finance, and insurance. Some career options include statistician, data analyst, statistical researcher, and risk analyst. Many students got internships as well.
Infrastructure: AMU provides plenty of areas for developing abilities and exploring new ones, such as football, volleyball, skating, and tennis playgrounds. There are well-furnished laboratories, including science, engineering, technology, and computer labs. There is also a nicely curated auditorium and ATMs for banking facilities. An interesting fact about AMU is that it has Asia's biggest library.
Faculty: The faculty for my course is amazing; the teaching quality of the professors is superb. As we all know, data science is a growing field and will boom in the future. Sessional exams are not difficult if one has proper knowledge and is active in class; then they can score well. I don't know about semester exams because I haven't experienced them yet.
Other: Students with a Bachelor's in Statistics are eligible to apply for various jobs in banking, IT, and quality control. They can even specialize in actuarial science and join various financial and share trading companies. Events and fests happen in college, and one popular and big event is Sir Syed Day. The college also provides extracurricular activities and scholarships.

Infrastructure: The facilities in my department of statistics are very good. Wi-fi and labs are very modern, and classrooms have projectors and good seats. The hostel facilities are very basic. Food needs a lot of improvement. Canteen is good and affordable. Quantity offered is less in the canteen though. Medical facility is available for students for free. Sports and games options are plenty in the campus.
Faculty: The teaching quality in the department of Statistics is very good. The teachers are helpful and qualified. The course curriculum is very well made and it is latest according to the UGC guidelines. It makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are difficult. We are given only 2 hours to write the exam. The pass percentage is okay.

    Brief information about AMU.
Placements: 60-70 percent of students were placed in my course according to the last year's data from the statistics department. The average package was of 5 to 6 lakh per annum. Infosys, etc. came at the time of placement last year. 90 percent of the students because college gave opportunities to all the students in the 3rd year and paid them also. The top roles offered are managing, data manager, analysis officer, and statistical officer.
Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure and for my course, labs were also good with computer facilities and high-speed Wi-Fi given in each department. The library is well furnished and has all kinds of books with high-speed internet. The hostel is good but the food is not so good; it's below average but the canteen makes everyone happy and gives all kinds of fast food at an affordable price. The university has good medical facilities, like the JNMC College of Medicine for students.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are so helpful and provide any kind of solution to your problem related to their subject. The teaching quality is so good. Yes, the curriculum is very relevant. Yes, it makes the student industry ready for the bright future. The semester exams are really tough but if you score well in sessional, then you don't have any problem passing the semester.
Other: I chose this course because it has a lot of scope in many fields like data operator, analysis and statistical officer. I want that there should be co-education in the college for the betterment and for the better competition. Sir Syed Day is celebrated on the 17th of October with very lots of celebration and different events like mushaira and songs and a dance competition is also done. And different events also take place.
