Q:   Which is best in terms of Bsc placement, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College or DU?

A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, your query is alright but it perhaps begs little more clarity. Let me put it this way. DDU is a college with students, professors coming every day for learning and teaching and is known for its Bsc Course. DU on the other hand is only an administrative entity. It may issue policy, set up syllabus, decide on working hours, holidays etc. But there is no classroom and no student passes out. Of course students do pass out from different colleges affiliated to it. There are few universities which have faculty and specialised courses but these are invariably at level of PG and placements of these students pursuing PG is on a different level than for undergraduate students.
I can not resist the urge to quote "one should not compare oranges with apples"!
Best wishes to you.

None of the students got placed in our batch because few companies came, and they all demanded computer students.

Good infrastructure and AC facilities .
Placements: There are no placements provided in our course. No recruiters came, and no roles were offered. We don't know about any average packages. We are not given any placements because this is a course that is not used by companies. We are provided with pure knowledge of mathematics.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, labs, and libraries have good infrastructure. Although Wi-Fi doesn't work well in classes, it does work well in labs. Good light and AC facilities are provided. Canteen food is fine, but not as good as we thought. The food is sometimes good, sometimes fine.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable, except for a few teachers. Some teachers give their best knowledge, are really helpful and become the best guiding light for our career The classes are performed in a systematic way with proper discussion and discipline Semester examination are done in a proper manner and the teachers provide the best notes for it.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, but not so good placements in 2023.
Placements: About 10% of students got placements in our course last year. The highest package offered was 500000, the lowest package offered was 300000 and the average package offered was 400000. The top recruiting companies were HDFC, Kotak, etc. About 10% of students got internships at many companies. The top roles offered were HR, manager, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in our college are the best in all departments. Many facilities are provided by the college, like Wi-Fi, labs, fully air-conditioned classes and labs, an air-conditioned library and a separate departmental library. Actually, I hadn't applied for the hostel, but the facilities in the hostel are also good, like the quality of food in the mess and the canteen, medical facilities are available in both the college and the hostel, and different sports are provided by the college, like cricket, basketball, football, basketball, kabaddi, volleyball, archery and fencing. Separate badminton courts and table tennis are also provided by the college. A separate gym is also provided by the college.
Faculty: All the teachers in our department were so helpful, supportive and friendly with students. All the faculty members are very experienced and qualified. Teaching quality is the best in our college. Our course curriculum is so relevant. Yes, it makes the student industry ready for higher studies. Semester exams are not so difficult at our college. Pass percentage is around 90–95%.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in mathematics and want to pursue higher studies in mathematics. The best thing about our course is that it is the best way to pursue higher mathematics. Our course had already improved since the NEP was established. Many events are organised in our college by different societies; our college annual festival is also organised every year; the campus crowd is very good since there are students from every corner of our country; and the campus surroundings are also good since many facilities are available around the college, like accommodation facilities. Different scholarships are provided to the students by our college every year. Different extracurricular activities happen due to the different societies present in our college.

Absolutely worth it, as in this feels like very good quality of learning.
Placements: Actually, the placement is very low just for computer-based courses like B.Sc. (H) Computer Science and companies that offer are also not well recognized, as I had mathematics hons; that's why I don't remember the names. For the mathematics department, usually internships are available of some companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities were average, and the infrastructure was good. The college includes a playground for a few sports and an AC room building with 6 floors with labs, classrooms, and a library. The canteen provides every type of food—North Indian, South Indian, snacks, Chinese, and even quality—above AVG. There is no such medical facility, but yes, coaches are available for a few sports like fencing and basketball, but the playground is small.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, mostly Ph.D. holders, and some are guests. All were really helpful. Yes, the mathematics hons course is really helpful for students who want to be in the corporate sector or defence from a future and present market perspective. Though semester exams are like a level of difficulty according to study pattern or curriculum,.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in deep learning in mathematics and wanted to do research in mathematics. There are many events held in college, one of which is KALRAV, the annual fest of our college and cultural programmes usually happen. There are also festivals of different courses, like mathematics, which has MATHRIX. surroundings are not highly crowded as compared to either part of Delhi. Scholarships are also available to students who fulfill the criteria. And there are lot of extracurricular activities like sports, drama, stage performances, etc.

Highly recommended college with the best infrastructure in entire DU.
Placements: Campus placements are average to good in our college. Companies do visit our college and select specific students required for specialised fields. Also placements are specific to courses only like if you are having courses like B.A. B.Com then your getting placements Probability is high but if you belong to B.Sc. background you might need to struggle to get good placements.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure of our college it is top class. Since our college construction has finished recently so our infrastructure from inside is very professional and high class. Lecture halls are very large and all halls and classrooms are air conditioned. Even our corridors are very cold during Summers. Also high-speed Wi-Fi is available for students use. Canteen, medical facilities and sports room are average and do have adequate equipments required. Hostels even have Wi-Fi and AC as well as a specific gym for hostels students is provided.
Faculty: Faculty members and professors are brilliant in their respective fields. They have very vast experience and are professional in their subjects. As I am pursuing B.Sc. Hons mathematics e a bit more clear idea of it In our course professors are really good and very helpful and friendly to students. They are not strict and are always ready to help when you get stuck. Semester exam is followed by DU policy so it solely depends upon UGC. Pass % is 33%. .

Review of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Our college is located off-campus, so students do not get placed. Some students of courses B.Com and BMS get internships and are placed. Our college provides mostly B.Sc. courses, so students do not get placements. Only some students who work hard get placed. They get around 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. This Dwarka building was newly built in 2013. So, all the classrooms have AC, and all labs are well-equipped. Wi-Fi is available in the college building. Washrooms are good. The hostel is good, and the quality of food in both the hostel mess and canteen is decent.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is very good. Professors of my course are very knowledgeable and experienced. My course curriculum is relevant for higher studies. Semester exams are not that tough. Question papers are made by D.U., and by reading previous years, you can easily score good marks.
Other: My course is B.Sc. in Mathematics Honours. This college provides almost all B.Sc. courses and is good for B.Sc. courses. It also provides B.Com Honours, English Honours, and B.A. Programme. The college is ranked 2nd in BMS in Delhi University. For connectivity, you have to come to Dwarka Mor Metro Station and easily get an auto from there. There is a bus stand of Dwarka Sector 3 in front of the college. Scholarships are available for poor students.

Students also asked

Q:   What is the procedure to take BSc admission at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College?

A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, the procedure or the process of seeking admission in Deen Dayal Upadhyay college of Delhi University is quite simple and straight forward and it is exactly same for seeking admission in any other college under Delhi University. A student needs to register himself on the special portal of Delhi University created for admissions process and is called CSAS or Common Seat Allocation System. After this the student needs to register for CUET examination conducted by National Testing Agency and seek good percentile since admissions invariably close above percentile of 95 in this college.
However to help you further I am attaching a link that will give you in detail the complete procedure of registration for admission in this college before the CUET examination and after the examination.

Q:   What is the cutoff for BSc at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College?

A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, Deendayal Upadhyay college under Delhi University is quite well known for its academics. It has ranking of 24 which is considered quite good. Due to this, cut offs at this Institute are quite high for all the undergraduate courses that it offers. From different sources that I could go through, the cutoffs in the year 2022 were set between 94 to 96 for different BSc courses which are offered by this college. Cutoffs very every year and it depends on the number of seats available for admission and also the results of the CUET examination. In the year 2023 either the paper was little soft  or the students were now aware of what type of questions are asked and as a result more than 20000 students have scored 100 percentile. Not only this the students who have scored percentile above 95 are more than two and half lakh. Of course this is all India figure and this test is applicable for all the Central University across India and therefore it can be safely assumed that not all the students will come up to colleges under Delhi University.  Be that as it may, this is bound to increase the competition and as a result it is expected that the cutoffs for the year 2023 for BSc courses may increase by one or two percentiles.
Best wishes to you.

Q:   When will CUET result be declared?

A:

The CUET 2024 result is scheduled to be declared tentatively by June 30, 2024, and will be accessible online on the offical website. Candidates can log in using their application number and date of birth/password to download their CUET result 2024. The NTA will release the CUET 2024 final answer key prior to the results, allowing candidates to gauge their performance and estimate their scores. Following the result announcement, CUET participating colleges/universities will release the CUET 2024 cut off. The exam was conducted in hybrid mode from May 15 to May 24, 2024. Last year, a substantial number of candidates appeared for the CUET 2023 (UG) exam, indicating continued interest and participation in this competitive entrance examination.

Q:   How are BSc placements at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College?

A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, placements for undergraduate courses like BA, BCom or BSc are definitely not like placements after graduation in engineering. This is so because it is considered that after engineering majority of the students will look for a job while for other streams of graduations, majority of students may look for doing post graduation in some specialised area. As a result of this it is nightmare to come to conclusion based on this statistics. In the case of DDU under Delhi University the data is not available for different streams of under graduation but this club under single heading called under graduate students. Total number of students place or short of hundred out of about 800 students who pass out. But interesting aspect is that more than two and half times the number of students placed or not even looking for response but see admission for higher studies. Whenever a student who is intending to do BSc most look at this aspect and not get swayed by figures of placements.
To help you understand I am attaching link that will give you an overall picture of placements in this college.

Q:   Is Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College best in Delhi?

A:

Any college's claim to be the "best" in Delhi is arbitrary and based on a number of variables, including extracurricular activities, faculty specialization, facilities, academic programs, and student happiness. With a focus on research and innovation, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College is well regarded for its academic standing, particularly in disciplines like the humanities, arts, and sciences. It has a distinguished history, dedicated professors, and a varied student body. Nonetheless, other Delhi colleges, such Hindu College, St. Stephen's College, and Lady Shri Ram College, all perform exceptionally well in many areas and can be ranked "best" according to certain standards. While choosing a college, prospective students should take into account their specific academic interests, professional goals, and school culture.
