B.Tech. in Food Technology - Batch of 2027
Offered by Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology
3.6
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology has a good campus and placements for the IT field.
Placements: A few students get placed in food technology because they started the department a few years ago. So placements are very less but some students are placed in good companies like Aavin government, Milma, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is neat and nice. The college has a food technology lab which includes many machines for practical laboratory studies. They also provide Wi-Fi. There is a common library for all departments which is a calm and peaceful place where we can read books related to our own subject.
Faculty: Teachers are good, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They provide nice lectures. Students do not get practical knowledge but theoretically, they are good. The college is autonomous so they have its own quality and standards. The course is good and highly demanded in future.
Other: I chose this course because food technology is an interesting course compared to other departments because of its subject and content. The department is completely different from others. It is highly demanded in the future. The college has good surroundings and a lot of space it is crowded with a lot of students. It organises Mallu fest, a Tamil traditional fest, and campus fest itself.

B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2028
Offered by Mohamed Sathak Engineering College - MSEC
2.8

I think fee amount is little valuable at Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Kilakarai.
Placements: In EEE, around 40% of students got placed in the ongoing year. The highest salary package offered at Mohamed Sathak Engineering College is 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.2 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA. Internships are bit good. Around 70% of students secured internships in top recruiting companies like TCS, MRF, and Tata Motors.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure available in our course is good. There is no network coverage in some of the college places. Library is very large and useful. When it comes to hostel, it has poor infrastructure with poor hostel food. Hostel rooms are not good but average hostel experience.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Around 80% of teachers have done Ph.D. Course curriculum is relevant and there is no problem with that. Semester exams are averagely difficult. Semester exams go well for first-year students, although there are more arrear cases involved but wholely is it's a very good college for local students.
Other: Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a good choice if you are interested in core subjects. As I was interested, that’s why I chose this course.

Offered by SACS MAVMM Engineering College
2.6
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty1Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Good placements in 2023 and Fee structure is low compared then others.
Placements: 30 percent students are placed in the ECE course. Semester feels average for one year, rupees twenty-five thousand only. And average companies mostly invite the students. Four or five companies are only top companies. Communication is only top roles in my course.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are average. Wi-Fi is not available for students. ECE Labs are in below-average condition. Classrooms are the best. The library is good. Hostel food quality is good but taste-wise very bad. Sports and games are available, and medical facilities are not.
Faculty: The teachers are very kind and friendly. Only qualified and knowledgeable teachers are there. Semester exams are somewhat difficult because we are university students. Pass percentage is above 60%. Yes, this course is curriculum relevant. This course makes the industry ready.
Other: Future world is ready for only communication and electronics, so I am choosing this course. Best things are communication knowledge. Electronics knowledge is improved. Events, Fest, Campus crowd are not good, campus and surroundings are good, scholarships are there.

Easwari Engineering College - A mixed bag.
Placements: The college has a placement percentage of above 95%. Most of the students every year get placed in companies through campus interviews. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, TCS, and Infosys. The highest salary package offered is 45 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top role offered is software development engineer.
Infrastructure: The classes are well-equipped with Wi-Fi and projector facilities. Classroom benches are not maintained properly and are found broken often. Hostel fees are quite high up to Rs 1,50,000. Quality of food available in the mess is average. Canteen food is pretty good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful all the time. They are willing to help us in the respective field required both curricular and co-curricular aspects. The courses are updated often to make students industry-ready. Semester percentage is 99%, and exams are pretty easy.

A brief review of PSG College of Technology - Integrated M.Sc. course of 5 years.
Placements: Most of the students who study here get placed easily in many of the companies. As of my knowledge, nearly 90% of students get placed. The highest salary package offered is 1.2 crore. The average salary package offered is around 40 LPA. Top companies recruiting are Google, Microsoft, JP Morgan, and a lot of MNCs.
Infrastructure: PSGCT has all the facilities and the infrastructure that are needed to be a perfect college. We have Wi-Fi everywhere and ample number of labs. We also have a very big library. The quality of the hostel is nice for the price, and the food is more than good. All the facilities such as sports and games are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and helpful when it comes to academics and the quality is top-notch. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The difficulty level of semester exams in this college is medium. The pass percentage is 99%.

The college is not suitable for a non IT department student.
Placements: College placement for my department is very poor. Management only focusing on IT placement not for agri department. And to show 100% placement they are forcing students to attend non core companies interview. Core company placements are very poor.
Infrastructure: Hostel is really poor from the day I joined the college the hostel is still in maintenance. There is no Wi-Fi connectivity in hostel and systems are also not available properly. For the course infrastructure there are only few space and equipments not available.
Faculty: Faculty members are mainly B.Sc. graduates and they lack so much in engineering syllabus. Thus sometimes they couldn't explain properly. Course curriculum is relevant and it makes students ready. But for some subjects the syllabus feels like little bit holder.
