    {Source: B.A. (Hons) students & alumni}

Placement Opportunities: Placement opportunities are limited in the English Hons department, and there are no guaranteed job offers after completing the program. However, being an eco-student at BHU provides moderate chances for placement at companies like TCS, Accenture, CAG, ICMR, UPES, etc. Approximately 30-40% of students get internships, and 25-35% receive placement offers. The average salary is around INR3 LPA, with the highest being INR6 LPA.

Teaching and Curriculum: Teachers in BHU are highly qualified and experienced, with a strong focus on both theoretical and practical learning. The curriculum is relevant, though some students feel it could be updated to prepare students better for the industry.

Infrastructure and Facilities: BHU has excellent infrastructure, with well-maintained classrooms, hostels, and libraries. The campus is spread across 400 acres, providing ample space for recreational activities and personal growth.

Campus Life and Student Activities: The campus is vibrant, with multiple clubs and organizations catering to different interests. Students can engage in cultural, literary, and sporting activities, making the academic experience enjoyable and enriching.

Value for Money: While the placement opportunities may be limited, the cost of pursuing a B.A. (Hons) at BHU is relatively affordable compared to other private institutions in India.

In conclusion, while the placement opportunities might not be extensive, the academic programs at BHU offer a unique blend of theoretical and practical learning, backed by experienced faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure. With its rich history and cultural heritage, BHU provides a stimulating academic environment that fosters personal and professional growth.

Very Nice Environment and Curriculum, Also Helped to Grow in Terms of Education and Knowledge.
Placements: Almost everyone who sat for the placement interview was placed and had a great opportunity to interact with companies. The highest package was around 3 CR, and the lowest was somewhere around 7-8 Lacs. Top roles were in marketing, SDE, and finance, with a few good roles, especially in the market.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my course was quite impressive, where I got to learn many things that not only enriched my knowledge in the field but were also useful in day-to-day life. The hostels in our college were very comfortable in terms of facilities and food, so it was a great decision for me to study there.
Faculty: The faculty was very nice towards each of us, and the student-to-professor ratio was very good, with everyone being satisfied. The curriculum was also great and diversified, covering almost everything related to the course and day-to-day life that we needed to learn and know.

Except for the mess, everything is wonderful.
Placements: I am pursuing a B.A. in Geography Hons in the Faculty of Arts, BHU. I don't think there are any placements for Geo Hons in the Arts Faculty; however, there are placements for Economics Hons in the Faculty of Social Science. I heard there are placements only for Foreign Language in the Arts Faculty. The Faculty of Social Science is better than the Arts Faculty if you are pursuing subjects like History, Economics, Geography, or Sociology. There are 60+ students alone in the Arts Faculty Geography Hons batch and 70+ in Social Science and in the Institute of Science. However, if you are good in studies, you will definitely have a better future. In BHU, there is a well-planned infrastructure for any field, which may be needed by any student.
Infrastructure: There are many libraries in each hostel, in each department, and in each faculty. There is also a central library. The library facilities are outstanding, but the mess and canteen need improvement. You will have to face a little difficulty with food. You can visit many messes, compare their food, and then choose a mess that suits your food requirements. Excluding the mess, allthe facilities are fantastic, and I don't think there are any loopholes.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. However, if you are being taught by scholars, you may find it hard to understand the concepts as they are still practicing. Scoring full marks in tests and exams is tough because the questions are structured in such a way.
Other: There are many tests, regular programs, workshops, sessions, and seminars.

The college is overwhelming and good. Just need to work on infrastructure and administration part.
Placements: Till now I had not heard about the placement on the campus but I'm for sure that placements could be achieved from English Hons here. Since it is the most demanding course in the faculty of arts anywhere by having a good set of students and peers and also a good learning environment .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really poor both of the faculty and hostel. The toilets are devastating and the faculty rooms are not neat and clean and also poorly maintained. You need to rethink before coming here if you need better accommodation and a well-maintained college.
Faculty: The professors are really nice and the peer you get here is awesome and by the time it continues to provide many opportunities for you. You will learn new things here; a lot of skills could be inherited and the exams are not hard; it's easy.
Other: You would get mixed crowd here.

Infrastructure is good, with a huge campus. Academic activities are also good.
Placements: In my course, there are 60 students. In degree courses, there are no placement, but internships are available. Placements are only offered in law, management, and engineering courses. Around 15% of total number of students secured internships based on their performance and activities.
Infrastructure: College is quite good. Most of the classrooms are digitalized and have Wi-Fi connections. Labs are available. Library is huge and there is a large variety of books stocked. Hostel is good, and food is decent. They provide medical facilities. There is a place for sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They all hold doctorate degrees in their own subjects and they have a vast knowledge of subject. They teach very well. Course curriculum is good and understandable for students. Syllabus is prepared to be helpful for career opportunities in the course.
Other: I chose Psychology because I want to be a Clinical Psychologist. There are a lot of events and fests in our college. Campus crowd is also huge and campus is good.

Banaras Hindu University faculty and infrastructure .
Placements: In a geography honours course, there is a lot of scope for BHU professors and mentors and its placement society calls on big companies and businessmen to give jobs. If a student of geography honours does a diploma course, then he or she will get a scholarship of almost 8–9 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: There are class facility is good, the biggest hostel facility, peaceful environment full of greenery, pleasant environment and the best thing is it is a close campus safe for girls and hostels are engaged with good apartments and beds. A studious environment is provided .
Faculty: Geography honors is a four-year integrated program in which eight semesters are supposed to be taken and every semester will be in 6 months. Subjects are allotted in each semester: major, minor and skill enhancement course. Four days of classes are taken in a week.
Other: There are a lot of extracurricular activities held at Banaras Hindu University. So come and develop yourself as a good and smart student .

Good infrastructure but can be improved. You can come here if you want a degree from BHU.
Placements: We don't get any placement in the Bachelor's degree in our college, but we can do internships that are either paid or unpaid and receive a certificate. There are paid internships available, which provide three months of training and nine months of internship, for which we get paid. These internships include hotel management. Unpaid internships include teaching children in an NGO, for which we do not get paid but receive a certificate.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure here are good. The classrooms are spacious but not air-conditioned. There is a projector in every class, but they are rarely used for teaching purposes. Wi-Fi is available, and the hostels are well maintained. There are many hostels in our college, like Rohit Mehta Bhawan, but the mess food is not very good. The canteen area is very small and hygienic. There is no place to sit in the canteen. I don't like the canteen in my college, and I never eat from there.
Faculty: The professors here are well-qualified and also guide the students through the mentorship program. We can talk to our mentors about anything, such as our personal relationship issues, and they guide us on what to do next. As it is an affiliated college of BHU, we get the same papers as BHU.
Other: I am currently pursuing a B.A. Honours in English. I chose this course as I am interested in English literature. I love reading English novels and poetry, especially by Shakespeare and metaphysical poets such as John Donne, and I like to analyze them deeply. The professors here, especially Soumili Mam, teach very well, and I admire her a lot. Events and fests are organized in the college, but freshers and farewell events are for hostellers only, so as a day scholar, I feel discriminated against.
