Well-equipped labs and libraries.
Placements: M.Sc. human genetics is a research based course. There are no placements in this department. We are being prepared to pursue research further in genetics, as this feild is blooming and India still lacks in the research. So no companies come for recruitment for this department.
Infrastructure: This is a huge campus spread across 500 acres of land. Although most of it is still under development and only a few buildings have been built now. And it is beautiful and full of trees. Wi-Fi gives a good speed, labs and libraries are well-equipped. There are four different mess and the food quality is bearable, sometimes become worse. There's a huge lack of good canteens, only 3 small canteens with very limited options. There's a gym and courts for different games are available.
Faculty: Professors here are well qualified and experienced to teach such an advance course. There help us out wherever we get stuck. The quality of teaching is good and the course is relevant to the field. It prepare us for further competitive exams. Semester exams are not very tough and the best part is that we get specified space for writing the answers so no extra nonsense is needed to fill the pages. The pass percentage of this department is 100%. .
Other: I chose this course as I am interested in the genetics feild as a lot is yet to be discovered. In this campus there are a lot of students from every part of the country so we get to learn new culture and celebrate its together.

All you need to know about Central University of Punjab .
Placements: A total of 20 students were in the batch. There was no placement opportunity for us, but the technical courses provide placement opportunities. A lot of students got internships in IIT Delhi, AIIMS Bathinda, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Medgenome, etc. Research associate, genome analyst, and research assistant are the roles offered to students in our course.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure was average, as they can do a lot better, but the labs were well-equipped, the classrooms were equipped with projectors, and the library was equipped with a lot of books. The hostels could have been better but they're not the worst.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, and their teaching was good. The curriculum for the course was what I liked the most. They have 3 semesters for theory and practical courses and one whole semester is dedicated to the thesis work, which helps in the practical application of what you studied in the course.
Other: I had a strong interest in genetics; that's why I chose the course. The course teaches a lot about the practical application of genetics in the medical field. There should be placements offered to students who want to go into industry. The campus was not that crowded and the fests were also okay. There are many scholarships offered to students, which you can apply for. There are also part-time jobs available for students in the library and administrative departments.

A:

The Central University of Punjab provides dormitories for its students, and the cost of a hostel room might change depending on amenities and the kind of lodging. While it's important to remember that the exact costs are subject to change, based on the data accessible up until September 2021, the Central University of Punjab's estimated annual hostel fees were close to 60,000 INR. However, it's crucial to remember that these numbers could change depending on the preferences and decisions made by specific students, as the university might provide different types of rooms with varied amenities.
Basic amenities including furnished rooms, study tables, mattresses, storage areas, Wi-Fi access, and common areas for socialising are typically included in the hostel rates. The price of the hostel accommodations may vary depending on whether they include extra amenities like air conditioning, laundry services, mess halls, and security measures.

It is advised to check the university's official website or get in touch with the hostel management directly if you want the most precise and recent information about the Central University of Punjab's dorm prices. They will be able to give specific details about the various room kinds that are offered, associated costs, any extra prices, and any alterations that might have taken place since my previous knowledge update in September 2021.
