A comprehensive review of Chandigarh University (CU) academics, hostels and placements.
Placements: Chandigarh University offers excellent placements with over 9,124 job offers in 2023-24. The highest international salary package offered is 1.7 crores per annum, and the highest domestic salary package offered is 54.75 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, which hired 585 students. The average salary package offered varies across fields. It provides strong opportunities in IT, engineering, management, and hospitality.
Infrastructure: I was in PG so I do not know about hostel fees and mess.
Faculty: Chandigarh University offers diverse programs with a modern curriculum combining core subjects, electives, labs, and projects. Faculty members are experienced and research-oriented. Exams include internal assessments like tests, quizzes, assignments, and external semester-end exams, with a fair and transparent evaluation system. I suggest students visit the university's official site for detailed information. The classroom and faculty members are the best parts of this college. They are the best in terms of experience, politeness, and teaching skills. I would rate 8 out of 10 for them. They are very friendly.

Life at Chandigarh University.
Placements: Students of Chandigarh University get placed in very good companies with high salary packages. More than 70% of students get placement in international companies. Chandigarh University has also been awarded as the titles university with best placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities of the hostel and department are good. The quality of food is also good in the hostel mess. Chandigarh University is also famous for sports. Many of the students have participated at national levels and international levels in different games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are PhD holders. Mid-semester exams are conducted which is also very helpful for students to build their knowledge. Faculty members are also very supportive of students.
Other: The best thing about my course is that it has supportive teachers and they help us. Events and fests are also conducted in the university to showcase the talent of students. During the fests, different celebrities and singer are invited for their performance. The university also provides a scholarship for the students and students have to maintain a CGPA of 7.5 in academics.

Review of Law department of Chandigarh University .
Placements: There are only 25-30 students who get placed in every batch from all departments, such as LL.B., B.A., LL.B., BBA LL.B., B.Com. LL.B, etc. B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) is very weak compared to the total strength of the university. The average package is listed about 5 Lacs in their website but I believe it to be comparatively less. Most students were placed in law firms in Chandigarh or Delhi. As for law department, the placement record is not so good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided by the university is top-class. A new library is opened this year in the department, and I would say this is a great step taken by the university. A projector is also provided in every classroom. Talking about hostel facilities, 4 seater rooms are generally available with cooler facilities. Mess food is also good, and canteen facilities are also provided in every corner of this university.
Faculty: Talking about the faculty of the university, most teachers are very professional. They have completed their graduation from Chandigarh University itself and are not really qualified in teaching well. They would not even recommend books to the students. PPTs will be provided that will cover the whole syllabus. The course curriculum is no doubt good. The semester exams are also not really difficult, as most questions come from PPTs. However, it does not make the students industry ready because of the qualified staff.

I am satisfied with the placement record and the corporate resource center is doing a great job.
Placements: I'm a student of B.E in computer science and engineering. Till now, approximately 1,600 students got placed in companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, and Capgemini. The highest salary package offered till now is 28 LPA this year. It is offered by JP Morgan Case. Approximately 2,000 students did not get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good here. We have well-equipped labs with Wi-Fi. There are projectors in every classroom. Medical facilities are also available. CU has a separate dispensary for their students. There is a clean and green environment. Overall, good to go.
Faculty: I'm a little disappointed by faculty members here. Faculty members here are not very experienced. The good thing is they are offering very good placements here, that's what we are here. At last, we all need to cover skills on our own, so having faculty inexperienced doesn't make any sense to your career. Nowadays, we have YouTube and other things to cover up the things, so good to go.

Firstly, try for other colleges, but you can consider this as the last option.
Placements: 60%-70% of students get placed this year 2024. The highest package was 54 LPA, but I don't know if it was on-campus or off-campus. The lowest package offered is 3 LPA. TCS, and Wipro are the top recruiting companies. 10% of students may get internships. Web development is the top demanding post.
Infrastructure: Overall, all the necessary facilities like Wi-Fi, a Lab, a great infrastructure of classrooms, air conditioning, a library facility, and a sports facility are available. In the hostel, food is average but edible for students, and all the facilities are given to every student.
Faculty: Overall, faculty members are great, but somewhere there is a communication issue for out-of-state students. The course curriculum is relevant but not perfectly fit for industry readiness. Semester exams are moderate, but because of the huge number of students, you can face high competition.
Other: I chose BE in CSE because you have a huge opportunity to explore other specialized branches like AI, ML, Cybersecurity, Web Development, Cloud Computing, etc. If you choose any specialization with CSE, you must be fully aware of that field and have a great interest in that field because, at first, the course fee is very high comparatively, complex and tough course curriculum, high credit hours, and many more things. They can improve the specific BE CSE course rather than opening new specialized branches. There are many events organized by the university almost every month and a great opportunity for students.

Honest review after passing out.
Placements: Marketing placements were more. Even in banking fields and banking companies, mostly companies were referring students with marketing specialisation in minor. Companies for finance was very less. Recession is also going on so can't blame the university for that.
Infrastructure: Hostel is not that good. There are no AC in the hostel. Food was good for the first month only after that it was really unsanitary and taste like garbage. Options for ordering food were also very less. To order from Zomato also we had to go outside the hostel. Delivery partners weren't allowed inside the main GATE.
Faculty: Faculty was good. A little more could have been added in the curriculum. More practical things regarding our field could have been taught but they weren't. Some suggestion could have been taken from the students regarding the curriculum. I think some changes should be made.
