Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Media, Psychology) - Batch of 2027

Academically focused college with enough opportunities to grow your talent.
Placements: The placement rate is 75%, and students with excellent grades and co-curricular participation were placed in top MNCs including Xaant, which is a psychology company based in Bangalore. Other companies like Deloitte and Accenture also offer places to Christ students.
Infrastructure: There are media and psychology labs throughout the campus where students are given hands-on practical training and are made ready for field jobs. The hostel has excellent facilities for males and females with clean washrooms, clean rooms, and enough space. The Wi-Fi facility in both the college and hostel is good with jammers on specific sites like Instagram.
Faculty: The teachers are mostly from the southern part of India, which creates a language barrier. Teaching materials are provided well in advance, and rote learning is discouraged in the institution. The exams have situation-based questions, and students are passed after scoring 40% in each exam. There are mid-semester and end-semester exams with continuous grade internal assessment.
Other: The university has enough events and fests to keep students busy and engaged. The campus is safe, and the environment is always bustling with students.

Join this college for an amazing campus life along with studies.
Placements: Most of the students choose to complete their further studies. A fair amount of students got placed in our course. The packages usually range between 3-4 Lacs per annum. The university has tie-ups that help students in getting internships. PSECO is one of the courses that offer the highest packages under several triple major courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not great, and the hostels are pretty strict, although clean. The library and knowledge center are amazing, and you can access them whenever you want. The block-1 classrooms are pretty old. The campus Wi-Fi is available, but every social media account, including WhatsApp is blocked.
Faculty: The faculty are helpful. The course curriculum is helpful for our future opportunities. The teachers are well-qualified. The teaching quality is up to the standard. The curriculum is relevant and definitely makes students industry-ready as the number of assignments, deadlines, and presentations we do is unmatched.

Good reputations and extremely strict.
Placements: We had a large number of companies visit for the placements for our batch over the past few months at frequent intervals. The previous year 15-20% of overall students were placed although I do not have a statistic on the number of students who applied for the placements. The highest salary awarded for the previous year was 7 lakhs per annum. Notable companies that have visited our campus for the placements this year include Hewlett and Packard, Goldman Sachs, MGH group, and the Gandhian fellowship. The roles offered to the students from our course included financial analyst, roles in human relations, and a few clerical jobs. We didn't have any internships organised by the college for our batch to the best of my knowledge.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is present throughout the college, although it is highly erratic and severely restrictive regarding access to the various sites. The classrooms for the bachelor of art courses and other subsidised courses are worn down. The campus hosts two large libraries with thousands of books and multiple football fields, basketball courts and one hockey court. Here again, Christ is extremely restrictive over access to these facilities as they cannot be used during the college hours and often host an official game and are hence occupied during non-college hours. Multiple franchises are present in the gourmet area of the college, allowing the students to pick and choose what they consume for lunch. However, due to the number of students present in the college, it can become extremely difficult to get food without harrying and shoving during peak hours. The hostel rooms are extremely restrictive, and I would not recommend anybody to join the hostel voluntarily. I would certainly recommend any student joining the college from another city to rent an apartment if one can afford it.
Faculty: In my personal experience, the faculty at Christ to a large extent carry lofty qualifications but are poor at imparting education although there are a few exceptions as is everywhere. The ridigity of the institution also plays a significant role in impairing their ability to teach as well as preventing them from being sensitive to the student's plights and aiding the students when possible. The student to faculty ratio in the humanities department is approximately 90:1. We did not receive any industry exposure and the curriculum was more or less obsolete.
