CUSAT admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The university conducts CUSAT CAT or Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test to shortlist candidates for some of the programme. Out of the total intake for each course, some are supernumerary seats. Below is CUSAT category-wise reservation:

Step 2: Selection Rounds
CUSAT shortlists candidates for most of the courses based on CUSAT CAT results. CUSAT CAT or Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test is a computer-based test conducted for shortlisting aspirants for admission to various courses. Step 3: Rank List
