B.Sc. in Geography - Batch of 2023
Offered by Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies

Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies - Where miracles happen.
Placements: I was 2020-2023 B.Sc Geography batch, we had a total of 50 students. Actually, we did not have any placements but hotel management students got placements in foreign countries. Top roles include pursuing M.Sc. in different streams. No internships and packages were offered for our course.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and they always innovate the infrastructure. Library, classrooms, etc., were properly managed and cleaned always. Hostel provided basic facilities and the food quality was also good. Canteen was cool. Medical facilities were often limited and sports club needed to be rebuilt.
Faculty: Friendly and young faculty members were there with top-notch skills. Exams as said earlier six semester exams. They make students industry ready by pushing their limits. Semester exam was not tough but we got a second chance to improve on paper so that we could improve ourselves.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2024
Offered by Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies, Nattika
2.6
3Placements2Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Review of Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies, Nattika.
Placements: We have about 40 students who opted for BCA. The course is actually 3 years, so you have to pay around 1 LPA for 3 years. You can work in many top companies if you have excellent skills after learning this course. You can work as a software developer, SaaS developer, etc. after this course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is too slow. Classrooms and libraries are good, but the canteen is very small; it doesn't even fit 20 students. The quality of the food is also not that great. Sports and games are all good. The labs where you work on practicals are good; they have AC, and all the computers are the latest and fast.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are well qualified and great. They are not only teachers but also supportive mentors who help you a lot. The semesters are not too difficult; every student can pass if they study. There were many students in my class who were a little behind in studies, but the teachers helped them get good marks, and they did pass the exams.
Other: I chose this course because I love working with computers and I enjoy coding. The best thing is that students can get jobs easily as the IT field, like BCA, is the best choice to secure a promising job. The campus should improve its way of teaching, like building smart boards in specific classrooms so that students can easily grasp what they are being taught. Events, fests, and other extracurricular activities are great on this campus, and every student will love them once they experience it.

Creating tech students with no coding knowledge.
Placements: A colleges famous others and friends in colleges under Calicut University do not provide direct placements. Even though there is a placement cell working at this college to support students to achieve a job. But it is also not much effective, there are lot to be changed. Now this college got NAAC grade of A so, there might be more chances for reaching companies for student placements in the future. Only few of the students got placed in this college. But this college provides a lot of internship opportunities for students.
Infrastructure: College provides 2 computer labs with total of 100 computers. It has high-speed Wi-Fi and Ethernet also. There is a great book library and digital library facility where students can access computers with internet for any purpose at any time. College only provides hostel facility for girls, hostel is not terrific like other colleges. Canteen provides good food at affordable rates. Arts and sports are the main highlight of this college. It has a big football ground, a super basketball court, etc. Auditorium is available for arts and other purpose.
Faculty: BCA faculty members are highly qualified and very friendly. Some of them only have masters, even though they are very knowledgeable and provide high-quality teaching. To be honest many papers are waste and irrelevant for the future. But the new four-year degree pattern got updated and there are a lot of good papers. Most of the students don't even know coding after this course, so everything has to improve in their own way. Exams are not much tough, a student with an average can pass the exam.
Other: I am so excited to learn coding, so I decided to choose BCA for my future. To be honest, I didn't get much as expected from that course. Because the course didn't make me industry ready. But the four-year pattern has a lot of improvement so I wish at least they should get more placement opportunities and become industry-ready. Tech events, fests, and many other programs are conducted by the BCA department. College is interesting by the way. I will say that everyone should study their own way and never always depend on college.

The faculty of the college is not bad. Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 60% of students in my course were placed. They provided media visits and useful courses. No students received internships from my course. They provided courses for high job opportunities in my course, including spoken English and computer courses like coding and other things.
Infrastructure: My college provides excellent facilities in my classroom. There is a language lab, which is very useful to us. They also provide Wi-Fi in the language lab. The library has a lot of books. There is a ladies' room, and there are also medical facilities. They ensure excellent facilities for sports.
Faculty: There are very qualified teachers. Their teaching is excellent. They can clear students' doubts. These courses are going on as curriculum-relevant. The semester exam is not bad. 40% of the students pass the exam. We had five subjects. In these subjects, one or two subjects were difficult.
Other: This course is very useful to me. I would like to read and write my own creative work. They need to improve placements. Events and fests are superb.

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) - Batch of 2023
Offered by National College of Arts and Science

A college which supports rural education.
Placements: The college does not have a placement cell. The college doesn't provide any kind of placement opportunity. Students are required to find the jobs themselves. Most of the students from our batch went for higher studies. The minimum salary is 10,000. The average salary is 15,000 per month. Some of the companies which recruited our students include IT Solutions Calicut, BIT industries Ltd., etc. The top roles offered include software development, computer engineering, etc.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide hostel facilities for boys or girls. The college provides an average classroom setup. It also provides a decent computer lab facility. The library is vast and it contains many books related to our syllabus and industry. No medical facilities are offered by the college. The mess and canteen are limited, with few facilities. It can hardly include 50 students at a time. Various games, such as cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, etc., are encouraged here.
Faculty: The teachers are good and their way of teaching is good. They are clearly following the rules of college in every aspect. The teaching is done in a convenient way and they are able to convey the messages clearly to the students. However, they are not taking classes fully in English. The curriculum is not very hard and it is job-oriented. Semester exams are much harder, and almost all students are getting pass marks.
Other: I chose this course because I was keenly interested in computer programming. I hardly suggest college management provide better lab facilities and placement opportunities. Various events, such as cultural and academic ones, are held here each year.
