Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Does DAVV require CUET?

A:

Admission into DAVV Indore for the year 2024 is based on the CUET exam. The CUET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to take place from May 15 to 31, 2024, while the CUET PG 2024 exam is going to be conducted between March 11 to 28, 2024. NTA is expected to release the CUET PG 2024 Application Form in the 1st week of January 2024. A:
{Source: BBA students & alumni}

Is Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) good for BBA?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what stands out:

* Placement Records: Over 90% of students get placed, with an average salary package ranging from INR7 LPA to INR8 LPA. The highest package offered was INR15 LPA. Top recruiters include hospitals, banks, and IT firms.
* Faculty Members: Professors are well-educated, knowledgeable, and supportive. Many hold PhDs and are willing to help students clarify doubts and prepare for internships and placements.
* Curriculum: The course curriculum is dynamic, covering theoretical and practical aspects of management. Students appreciate the relevance of the programme to the current business environment.
* Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, computer labs, library, and hostels. While some reviewers mentioned that the washrooms could improve, overall, the facilities are considered decent.
* Campus Life: The campus is lively, with various events and festivals organized throughout the year. Students enjoy interacting with peers and seniors outside of academics.
* Scholarship Opportunities: Meritorious students receive scholarships from the state government, while some companies also offer sponsorship for deserving candidates.

However, some drawbacks to consider:

* Difficulty Level: Some students found the course challenging, particularly those without prior math experience. Others felt that the curriculum could benefit from additional focus on practical applications.
* Internship Support: While professors are willing to assist with internships, some students reported having to seek out opportunities independently due to limited support from the college.

Overall, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya seems to be a good choice for BBA aspirants looking for a strong academic foundation, good placement records, and a vibrant campus culture. However, students should be prepared for a challenging course load and potentially limited support for securing internships.

Q:   Can a student get admission to DAVV without CUET?

A:

Admission without CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is possible for some courses only like LL. M., and others. but for these courses,  CUET-PG is accepted by the university. So, students can get admission without CUET but the student have to change the course they are opting for. So, the best solution is to prepare in advance for the CUET and get admission in the relevant course. Seats are limited and candidates applying through CUET are many. Only good preparation can assist in getting admission to various courses like BTech, BSc, B.A. and others.

Q:   How many colleges are there under DAVV Indore?

A:

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, through around 239 institutes and various other schools of study, offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and other courses to students across Journalism, Computer Engineering, and various other streams. The best college with a great atmosphere and great faculty members who are very helpful in nature.
Placements: 5 Lacs package was offered by the college as this is not much of a technical degree, so the company could only provide a minimum wage package. That much is sufficient for one to start from the basics and move towards their career smoothly. One just needs to first enter the field.
Infrastructure: Best room, neat and clean environment, and a good canteen. The environment is also the best, with a greenery atmosphere, and it’s easy to travel from everywhere. They are very helpful, whether there are peons or any other staff, everyone helps and supports activities.
Faculty: Best faculty ever! They are best in their stream. Every teacher has their own experience and is very supportive in nature. They always support in our day-to-day study. Even their HODs are very helpful; they provide help with just a call or message if anyone is unable to visit.
Other: As it's a basic course with a technical degree, it also provides a computer degree, and we can easily prepare for cumulative exams.

Good placement in 2015, really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Excellent college, with very good teaching faculty members and environment. Also, studying very well, in 100% of students, 1-2% of students failed and everything else is passed. Along with this, we also get good teachers who teach with good experience. Till now, I have not heard any student speaking ill of the hostel, so from this, you can now find out where the hostel is located.
Infrastructure: Absolutely, hostel facilities and a good environment around us. Food available in the mess is also good, no such complaint has been reported so far. There is no problem with food in the hostel either. Something good is prepared here every day, and the hostel superintendent pays special attention to food.
Faculty: Good teaching and good exams taken by college and university. The pattern of conducting the exam is also not too difficult. The children are not burdened all at once. Their syllabus is completed little by little. The tension of the exam is removed from the children at the time of the exam by taking a test from them once a week.
Other: Nice campus, lots of plants in our campus and a good environment. I have always liked staying in a hostel because I have been staying there since I was a kid. I have been staying there since 1st standard till now.

Our college provides placement opportunities for students.
Placements: As our batch is in the 5th semester, no student from our batch got placed till now. The recruiting companies are Wipro, Genpact, Infosys, LTI, Mindtree, and many more.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library are available. The infrastructure of our department and facilities are good. The hostel and its facilities are good but there are strict wardens. The food served in the hostel is good. There is a big playground to play sports.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are highly qualified and helpful. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant to both technical and non-technical jobs. Semester exams are not difficult because exam papers include the topics taught by teachers in classrooms.
Other: I chose this course because it is relevant to the jobs. Events and fests are not organised well. Scholarships are provided to students in their bank accounts.

This college infrastructure and facilities are excellent.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in our course, according to their ability and performance. Many top companies have visited for placements like Wipro. Every year at least 90% of students got internships, in Wipro but it is based on students' performance.
Infrastructure: There are good facilities. It has an excellent infrastructure of building, and classrooms are also good. There are different departments for different subjects so that, students can found easily. Mess is average but canteen is not good. The food quality is good.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and very helpful to the students. Teaching quality is also good, and they explain it practically. Sometimes they make tough papers, and some students cant get satisfactory marks. When they make tough paper, and the percentage is 60%, otherwise it is 80%.
Other: I opted for this course, because of my interest in it. It also organised a cultural fest in which students can enjoy, and the level of programming language should be high, and everyone should get the project.
