DTU, originally known as Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), is a famous college with top-notch facilities and services located on a vast 164-acre campus. There is a library which is extensively digitised and offers online access to many databases and periodicals. Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

1. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE): The last round closing rank for CSE at DTU for JEE Main 2023 was 4876 (General-All India), while it was 4008 and 2445 in 2022 and 2021, respectively.

2. Information Technology (IT): The closing rank for IT at DTU in last round of JEE Main 2023 was 6424 (General-All India), while it was 5110 and 4142 in 2022 and 2021, respectively.

3.  Software Engineering: DTU last round closing rank for Software Engineering for JEE Main 2023 was 7157 (General-All India), while it was 5871and 4836 in 2022 and 2021, respectively.

These branches are highly sought after, and the cutoffs are relatively lower compared to other branches. However, it's essential to note that the cutoffs may vary based on various factors, such as the number of seats available, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of applicants.

Good points:

* Placement: The average package for M.Sc. courses is 7 to 8 Lacs per annum, with PPOs and internships available from the final year or 3rd semester onwards.
* Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, trained, and experienced, with many having PhDs from reputed institutions.
* Curriculum: The curriculum is designed to prepare students for jobs in research, pharmaceuticals, and edtech, covering all necessary topics.
* Infrastructure: The campus is well-maintained, with modern infrastructure, including air-conditioned classrooms, state-of-the-art libraries, and sports complexes.
* Campus life: Campus life is vibrant, with various societies, festivals, and events, providing a diverse student community.
* Hostels: The hostel facilities are comfortable, with options ranging from single-seater to multi-sharing rooms, and amenities like air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities.

Not-so-good points:

* Limited internship opportunities: While PPOs and internships are available, some students might find limited opportunities in their desired fields.
* Semester exams: Some students found the semester exams challenging, requiring dedicated effort to pass.
* Lab facilities: While the labs are well-managed, some students felt that the facilities could be improved.

The application process for all the courses offered via DTU is completely online. Candidates seeking admission to BTech are required to apply via JAC Delhi website, i.e. jacdelhi.nic.in. For admission 2023, counselling registration via JAC Delhi was started on May 20. JAC registration is a two-step online process where students have to fill out the online application form and then make the payment of the application fee. Candidates seeking admission must have a valid score in the UCEED exam for final admission. And to become eligible for admission to BDes at Delhi Technological University, candidates must have passed their Class 12 with Science/ Commerce/ Arts or a three-year Diploma course recognised by AICTE. After appearing for the exam, the institute releases multiple merit lists based on UCEED scores. Those who have their names on these merit lists can book their seat by paying a fee component, shared with the shortlisted students.

Delhi Technological University offers a four-year BTech programme across 14 specialisations along with two BTech Evening programmes to the students. The duration of the BTech evening programme is also four years. The specialisations available under the regular BTech course includes CSE, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Engineering Physics, Mathematics and Computing specialisations, among others. Additionally, the specialisations available under BTech (Evening) course include Civil and Electrical Engineering. Students seeking admission must have a valid score in the JEE Main entrance exam. Effectiveness of Placement Cell for M.Sc. Programs at DTU

* The placement cell of DTU is very active and hardworking, with many companies visiting the campus for recruitment.
* The average salary package offered is INR6 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum).
* Out of 50 students in a particular batch, around 15 got placed with decent salary packages.

For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 4008 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in DTU - Delhi Technological University.

The lowest or least competitive rank to get into DTU (Delhi Technological University) varies depending on the course and the category of the candidate.
