Really good infrastructure and great opportunities.
Placements: 1. 90 percent of students were placed in my course and the other students got off-campus placements. 2. 15 LPA is the average package, depending upon the portfolio and abilities. 3. Microsoft, Snapchat, etc. are the top recruiters. 4. 90 percent of students get internships at Zipp Electric, OLA, Airtel, etc. 5. User expert designer, associate, etc. are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: 1. All necessary facilities are available, such as the library, Wi-Fi, labs, water, canteens, and various food points inside the campus. 2. Everything is available; hostel availability is good. The food of the mess is also amazing; three-course meals are served.
Faculty: 1. Yes, they are very helpful, and the teaching quality is also great. 2. Yes, it gives hands-on experience and makes a student learn through peers. 3. The exams are not very difficult; everyone gets passed, and through enough preparation and the help of teachers, it becomes a piece of cake.
Other: 1. The social circle we get to interact with is very nice. There are a lot of opportunities to grow and learn. 2. Workshops are organized. 3. Fests and events are the major attractions. Societies are an added bonus.

Extremely overrated. The crowd is not as expected.
Placements: The current placement percentage is not impressive, but there are good off-campus opportunities. The highest package offered through the college was 2 CPA, and the lowest was not disclosed, with an average package around 17 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Adobe, Microsoft, Zomato, etc. Internships are mainly secured off-campus.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facilities are subpar. Hostel infrastructure is decent, but the facilities are not up to par. Messy food quality is typical. The infrastructure of our department is mediocre, especially compared to other design colleges. The department lacks space for classes, leading us to use other buildings.
Faculty: Most teachers hold Ph.D. qualifications, and their level of engagement may be lacking. The syllabus is not given much consideration. Exam content is often sent a few hours prior, requiring self-study. Overall, the curriculum experience lacks the expected level of knowledge.

    The okayish college for design
Placements: For our batch, the placements are not good at all. It is very different from what is being advertised on public platforms and should not be taken for reference. But the situation might get better as my juniors are getting much better opportunities on campus than we got for our batch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, even after constant construction throughout my duration in college, is not good. On the surface, it might look good, but they lack the bare minimum stuff for it to be considered a good design college in the first place. They spend a lot of money on departments that were never required.
Faculty: Exams here are just formality; the main weightage is given to your big project of the semester for each of the subjects. That will be considered as the priority for the subject. But with a few exceptions, both the faculty and the curriculum are not that good.
Other: The campus life and your peers are where you'll get most of your learnings from. Just do not rely on the teachers in hopes that they will teach something good.

DTU - One of the Best Colleges.
Placements: Approximately 80% of students were placed in my college, contributing to an overall impressive placement percentage. The college's reputation attracts renowned companies for recruitment, ensuring high expectations for placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: The design building's infrastructure is immaculate, featuring high-speed internet facilities, 3-D printers, and a well-equipped computer lab with powerful PCs. However, hostel facilities could be improved and require attention.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, supportive, and interactive. The curriculum is entirely relevant and prepares students for the industry. Semester exams are not excessively difficult; the level of difficulty depends on individual student preparation.

Is it worth it to go with DTU B.Des!
Placements: Almost 75% of students got placed in the design course. The highest package is 45 LPA and the lowest package is 8 LPA. The average package is 14 LPA. The top recruiting companies are PPO, Microsoft, etc. Almost 60% of students got placement in this course. Top roles offered are graphic designer, etc.
Infrastructure: We live in a hostel named VLB here, and B.Tech. girls also live here. We have our own indoor library and a separate mess from other hostels. We also have a health center that is open 24 hours a day, as well as a sports complex with various types of courts. But our canteen is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Faculty: The teachers at DTU are too humble and calm. They are highly qualified. They teach industry-oriented problems. It is easy to pass every semester because papers are very easy. Almost 80% of students pass. There is no issue of being detained because we can do an exam with zero attendance.

Somewhat satisfied because of the placements which is again off campus.
Placements: Most of the placements happen off-campus only, which is obvious as its B.Des. course. The highest package according to my HOD is 1.2 crores. Students from first year also get internships in college. Top roles are product design, fashion, interaction etc.
Infrastructure: The design department of DTU is great and elite in comparision to other B.Tech departments including Wi-Fi and labs etc. I don't like the old hostels of DTU, they are the worst. But new buildings are being constructed which I hope they are great, as it looks nice from outside.
Faculty: Teachers are great or the best but not their teaching quality, we get classes just to follow the rules. We pay the tuition fee but we get YouTube links to understand the topic. The curriculum is fine. It depends on the student about the exam, but exam involves more in practical involvement.
Other: I chose industrial product design, as I want to pursue automobile design further. The proper teaching and involvement of students will make the course great. DTU conduct the best events, fests and all even better than IIT Delhi.
