B.Tech. in Production and Industrial Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good faculty members, average placements for production branch, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Around 32.86% of students were placed in 2024 from the production branch. The highest salary package offered for 2024 was 31 LPA. The lowest salary pacakge offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 12.32 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Adobe, Amazon, Google, etc. Around 5% of students got internships in 1st year till now. We can definitely go for mechanical jobs in Maruti and other automotive companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of DTU is good. All classes are air-conditioned. Our campus has very lush green. Library is also pretty big, labs are good with all machinery needed. Wi-Fi is available in almost all the places we go on campus mainly near buildings. Some hostels are pretty average but some are good too. Wi-Fi is available in hostels. Food quality and taste in mess and canteen is also pretty good. I would say above average. Medical facility is good too and it is near the hostels so no worries. Sports complex is massive too.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified at DTU. But the thing is that in first year some teachers are scholars who teach us. Most teachers have their own books. Course curriculum is semi-relevant I would say. It makes students industry rest but we need to put some effort from our side too. Semester exams are not that difficult but average. Pass percentage is like 75-80%.
Other: I chose this course because thats all I could get from my rank. In production engineering, there is 80% mechanical engineering and 20% in management subjects. Fests are the only thing about DTU that we cannot complain about. Fests are massive. There are plenty of societies, we can join if we are interested.

B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2027

It is a good college at a good rank group for home-state students with good infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are good as compared to other colleges of the same rank or same league. We are low as compared to NSUT, but the overall placements are good. We can get help for placements and all. Overall, placements rate is good, and average placements are good too.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best in class Wi-Fi, good libraries and a good culture. The hostel quality is not that satisfactory. Hostels are okay and need renovation. It serves good food with a finely big campus. It provides good classrooms. We have libraries too which have good book banks.
Faculty: The attendance is very chill, from 2nd year onwards you are free to attend only necessary classes. From the 4th year onwards, we are free to take elective subjects and complete their syllabus. Everything is fine here. Teachers are good, and exams are fine.

Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) - Batch of 2025

The okayish college for design
Placements: For our batch, the placements are not good at all. It is very different from what is being advertised on public platforms and should not be taken for reference. But the situation might get better as my juniors are getting much better opportunities on campus than we got for our batch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, even after constant construction throughout my duration in college, is not good. On the surface, it might look good, but they lack the bare minimum stuff for it to be considered a good design college in the first place. They spend a lot of money on departments that were never required.
Faculty: Exams here are just formality; the main weightage is given to your big project of the semester for each of the subjects. That will be considered as the priority for the subject. But with a few exceptions, both the faculty and the curriculum are not that good.
Other: The campus life and your peers are where you'll get most of your learnings from. Just do not rely on the teachers in hopes that they will teach something good.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2024

Excellent faculty, an industry curriculum, and top-notch infrastructure.
Placements: The placement percentage is 90%. The highest package offered is 1.2 crore PA. The average package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vedanta, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Amazon, and Synopsys. Around 70% of students secured internships with companies like Mastercard, Flipkart, and many more. Roles offered are SDE, GET, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: DTU provides Wi-Fi-enabled labs, classrooms, and a library with over 65,000 titles. Hotels provide Wi-Fi, a LAN connection, and a gym. The mess food is decent, and medical services include a 20-bed hospital. Sports facilities include all type of sports grounds, a 400-meter track, and a gym.
Faculty: College is good, with teaching, placements, best knowledge and skills. I need to improve to aim high on my APA, which will give more value in the future. College also organizes events during festival times. Campus crowd looks beautiful. College also provides scholarships for government quota students.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028

The best college: Delhi Technological University.
Placements: Like, if we see mechanical engineering, almost 70% of students were placed, and the average package in mechanical engineering was around 11 LPA, with the highest around 26 LPA. But in tech branches, the average package offered was almost 20 LPA, with the highest at 86 LPA. Top recruiting companies in my course were Maruti Suzuki, Hero, and Maharatna companies such as ONGC, BHEL, SAIL, and many more government bodies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is very good. It is spread across 170 acres of land. It contains a sports complex, gym, and an indoor badminton court. There are different buildings for different courses and branches. There is also an open theatre where small fests and gatherings occur, and for the FEAT event, there is a fest ground. Overall, the campus is huge, and you can’t travel in a single day. There are 8 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostels.
Faculty: Teachers in DTU are very supportive and helpful. One advice I have for my juniors in the upcoming year is to not ease off or bunk classes. If your batch is good with the teachers, then in the end, you will only be fruitful. The course I have pursued is very relevant. There are all big machines for my subject, and all industry exposure is provided to the students. The semester exams are very tough, but you need just one week before your end semester, and you will be good to go.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have a core interest in the mechanical roles, and my family has the same background. The thing that could be better is that they should stop allowing vehicles on campus. It is being executed, but they don’t care much about it. Many events and fests are organized, and there is great connectivity. Very good senior-junior interaction is there.

Partially satisfied but doesn't have that level of facilities that IIT has.
Placements: In my batch, there are 75 students. I don't know much about packages as I haven't been informed about placements this year. I will be seeking placement, so I don't have accurate answers at the moment. Currently, no one knows if the internship opportunities are good. The cutoff is requested to be above 9, which may cause many students to continue without an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, with proper ventilation, water, and AC facilities. Wi-Fi is provided in the hall area, and the library is well-stocked with a lot of content. The sports area is also good, with ample space and equipment to play. There are proper grounds for football and cricket.
Faculty: Teachers were good, having proper knowledge of their subjects. Yes, studying IT in the era of AI is beneficial, as it provides a solid knowledge base for the future. Semester exams were quite difficult, but since all students sit together, they had the opportunity to cheat, so the overall pass percentage is good.
Other: Too many students in batch .
