Galgotias University : the pros and cons .

Placements: This year, the placements were very low, despite numerous companies visiting the campus. However, the students were unable to crack the interviews. In contrast, the previous year saw good placements, with one student securing a 1 crore placement outside India from top recruiting companies such as TCS, Wipro, and Samsung.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are pretty big and comfortable; there is Wi-Fi in each class, but you have to log in using the lab number and password. There is a big library, not too big but good enough in size, with more books than you will ever need. The hostel food is not good, but the hostels themselves are good enough. The university canteen is pretty big and nice.

Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable and good enough. Some teachers excel in communicating with students, and the curriculum is relevant, up-to-date, and beneficial for acquiring knowledge. It assists in establishing a strong fundamental approach to coding. The exams are of average difficulty, striking a balance between being neither too hard nor too easy. The passing percentage is 40 percent.

Other: The crowd is quite good here, with a balanced male-to-female ratio. However, a portion of the local crowd displays aggressiveness and lacks manners, although this doesn't apply to everyone. Improvements are needed in the management of timetables and attendance. Events at GU are substantial, often featuring famous celebrities for promotions. Scholarships are available for students, and there are numerous clubs catering to various hobbies.

Honest review of Galgotias university.

Placements: At Galgotias University this year, almost 70 percent of students got placed in good companies. The highest package of this year's four students was the package of 39 lakhs. The average package this year is around 6.5 LPA and the lowest package is about 3.5 LPA. In our campus placement, many companies visit, like Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Autodesk, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra. I got an internship in my third semester at AWS. The top roles in our course are data scientist and software developer.

Infrastructure: At Galgotias University, some facilities are very good but some of them are very rude. Classrooms are very good. In the classroom, they provide air conditioners. Here are three libraries, and we found almost all the books. Wi-Fi is available on campus all around. The hostel is okay but the food in the mess is very bad.

Faculty: All our teachers are from IIT's and NITs and some teachers are very supportive but some of them are bad at behavior. The course curriculum does not make you industry-ready; you have to work on yourself. The university makes all students busy with exams, viva quiz and other stuff that is not important. At that time, our exam was very tough.

Other: In this course, there are higher opportunities for placement and in our university, we arrange prarambh and freshers parties for new students every year, as well as unifest and money club, which provide opportunities for extra activities.
