Best university in Himachal Pradesh
Placements: In the entrance exam, there were 70 questions with no negative marking. I secured the 7th rank. The difficulty level was medium for half of the exam, while the remaining questions were either easier or too hard. Our college has a tie-up with Internshala, which provides good internships with respect to local expenses. As a fresher, a stipend of 20k/month is decent in a city like Baddi, although the companies are not very famous, being mostly local ones.
Infrastructure: The campus is covered with greenery, and free Wi-Fi is available. Security is also provided. There is hostel accommodation for both boys and girls, with good food and a pleasant environment. Classes are equipped with projectors, though it depends on the professor whether they are used. As winter approaches, extracurricular activities come into play, including cricket, basketball, soccer, drawing, essays, and science exhibitions. However, there are no student clubs or unions.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are millennials with Ph.D. degrees and are masters in their respective fields. Whenever you visit them, they are often working on their upcoming books. Additionally, Adhoc Assistant Professors are recruited based on their NET scores. Most of them are under 30 and are pursuing Ph.D.s from the same college.
