Punjab BTech Registration 2025: Date, Application Form Link, How to Apply, Documents Needed

The counselling fee for PTU BTech 2025 counselling is as follows:

• To participate in Centralized Online Counselling every participating candidate has to pay a counselling fee of INR 2000/- (Non Refundable) for each course. This fee applies to all candidates irrespective of their category.
• If any candidate wants to apply for counselling for two separate courses (eg for both BArch & BTech courses), then they have to pay INR 4000 in total ( 2000/- for each course separately).
• If any candidate submits the counselling fee in the 1st round of counselling and also wishes to participate in 2nd round of counselling, then they need not pay the counselling fee again to participate in 2nd round.

To start with the PTU BTech 2025 registration process, candidates can follow the steps below:

Step 1: Registration 

• Visit the link available on this page above.
• On the window that opens, candidates have to register using the following details:
  • Name
  • Gender
  • State
  • City
  • Qualification
  • Create and set a password
  • Enter mobile number
  • Enter email address

Step 2: Verify the OTP sent

• After submitting the details, an OTP will be sent to the candidates.
• Candidates have to verify the OTP by submitting it on the registration screen.
• Once the OTP is verified, the registration is successful.

Step 3: Login

• Once the registration is successful, candidates have to login with the registered mobile number/email address and password created.
• Under the login candidates have to select the course they want to take admission in and the campus of their choice.
• Candidates can then post any query regarding the admission process and an admission coordinator will contact the candidates for further admission process.

The steps to complete the Punjab Btech registration 2025 are given below:

Step 1: Registration

• Go to the official website or follow the direct link on this page to participate in Centralized Online PTU BTech Counselling.
• Click on APPLY FOR NEW REGISTRATION given under the Centralized Online Counselling heading.

• Read Important Instructions for Admission carefully and Press the “I Agree” button to open the Registration Form.
• Select Pre-Registration status (Select Yes If Pre-Registration is done for admission to IKGPTU Main Campus / Constituent Campus, else select No).
• If Yes, fill in the requisite details and press the Submit button.

• If No, fill the required information and press New Registration. Based on Selected State of Eligibility and Course further related options will be available in the next form.

• The Profile details will open for filling Personal Information. Please fill the detail as per 10th certificate. Fill the Form and press Get OTP. The OTP will be sent on Registered Mobile No. and Email. Enter received OTP and “Verify OTP” button.

• After submitting the Registration Form, click on Click here for Student Login for further process.

Step 2: Student Login

• Fill in the Reference No. and Password received through email in the registered email ID and click on Login. (Please check the Spam / Junk Folder of your Email if the email is not received in your Inbox)

Step 3: Fill Online Application Form

• After Login, the Profile Information will be displayed. In the online application form, candidates have to fill in the following details:
• Contact details
• Reservation and other details
• Qualification details

Step 4: Review the Application Form

• On the next screen, the complete filled Application Form will be displayed. You may press the Previous button to Edit the filled details (if required). If the filled details are correct select the Checkbox at the end and press Save & Final Submit to lock the filled details.

Step 5: Upload the Scanned Documents

• After pressing the Save & Final Submit button the Form to Upload the Documents will open. As per your filled details and selected option, the option to upload the related documents will be available. In the absence of the document, the system will not let you proceed further. Select the documents one by one from the dropdown list and upload the same. The record of the uploaded documents will appear below. You can view or delete these documents.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

• Once the documents is uploaded, you have to tick the Checkbox and press Pay Counselling Fee button. Then the system will prompt you to payment window. Here you will find multiple options (as per below screenshot) to pay the counselling fee.

• After submission of fee, the following confirmation page will appear. This marks the completion of the PTU BTech counselling registration and application process.

• State of Eligibility / Domicile: Select your eligibility for State carefully as you will be allowed to participate either in Punjab (85% Quota) or Other State (15% Quota). Other Candidates will be asked to select their state from the available list in the drop-down menu. (Note: PAU, Ludhiana is participating in centralized online counselling for making admission to B.Tech. (Agriculture) course under Punjab (85%) Quota only.).
• Select your Main category, Subcategory and Priority in the case of the Sports and Defence category from Dropbox: Students should go through the details from the Brochure as well as from the website of the concerned University. More details are available in the respective Information Brochure, available on the website ptu.ac.in. Note: Other State (15% quota) candidates can participate under 3 categories only i.e. General, SC/ST & OBC.  PAU, Ludhiana shall conduct counselling of its Sports quota at their level.)
• Select Yes or No for Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme: Those candidates whose parents' annual family income is less than 6 lacs from all sources can participate in the centralized Online Counselling for Tuition Fee Waiver scheme. He/She has to produce the certificate (of the current year) regarding the same at the time of admission. This scheme is applicable for Punjab (85% quota) Candidates only.
• Select Rural/Urban Status: Please note that in the case of IKGPTU (applicable for GNDEC, Ludhiana only) students can avail of the benefit of the Rural Area in addition to their reserved category (i.e. SC/ST, BC, Sports etc). But if a student wishes to keep Rural Area as his main category for IKGPTU, then he/she should select the main category as General and under Rural/Urban status select “Eligible for rural area status in Punjab State".
• Select Sikh Minority Status: This option is applicable for Sikh minority students who have qualified Sikh Religion Exam conducted by SGPC in the year 2025. If this option is selected as “Yes” then the candidate will be asked to enter SRE Unique ID. Sikh Minority Seats are available under B.Tech. 1st year course at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana & Baba Banda Singh Bahadur College of Engineering & Technology, Fatehgarh Sahib only.
