Student life at IITB - Hectic but rewarding.

Placements: Due to the recession, this year's placement took a massive hit and fell by more than 20% compared to last year, but the average package size increased due to fewer number of highly valued packages by a few high-paying finance companies in Mumbai and abroad.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Placements are best in this college. In the 21-22 season of placements about 100 students from my course were placed in core companies and the others in non core companies. Around 96% of students in B.Tech degree were placed. Around 85 students received internship offers in the year 21-22 in core companies in my course.

Good college life with all facilities available.

Placements: The average package of the chemical engineering department varies between 16 to 18 Lacs per annum. Students get jobs in their core field or the technical or non-technical field. Top recruiting companies for chemical engineering are SAIL, BHEL etc.

Really great environment and opportunities.

Placements: Nearly 95% students get placed in my course. The highest 40, average 12 and the lowest 8 LPA for my course. Almost all chemical based international and domestic companies came for recruitment. Nearly 97% students got internships covering a diverse range of companies. All roles based on qualifications.

The best college of India.

Placements: About 80-85 % of the students are placed, while others choose to pursue higher studies and research. The typical compensation package is 18 LPA. Some academically elite students maintain 9 to 10 CGPA for acing placements, a minimum CGPA requirement is in place to attend placements. Many students receive internships at prestigious firms like Axis bank and others. Both core and non-core occupations are available to students.

Placements: The placement percentage of our senior batch was around 67% in 2021, and the rest of them were involved in startups. The highest salary package offered is 83 LPA for material science students, the lowest is 14 LPA, and the average is around 24 LPA. The top recruiting company for the core branches is JSW Steel Ltd., and for the non-core branches, it's BCG. Around 33% of students in a batch get internships. The top role offered is senior data analyst in a finance company.

Honest review of IIT Bombay!

Placements: 95%+ students placed, the highest 40 lac, average 12 lac and the lowest 6 lac, Reliance, Piramal, Dr. Reddy Labs have well paying jobs in chemical core. IT/software, consult and finance roles are most sought after. Majority of the students (~80%) get internships through the placement cell here and others try their luck applying externally.

One of the best colleges in the country.

Placements: 96.8% students were placed in IITB. The lowest was something around 6lpa and the highest was 40lpa. Tata, toshiba, L&T were some top recruiting companies. 166 out of 200 were able to get internships in mechanical engineering. Top roles offered in mechanical engineering are automation engineer, research, development supervisor, etc.

Our college has great faculty members and good infrastructure.

I am absolutely satisfied with this college.

Placements: The placement ratio of our college is 100%. All students who sit for placements get placed and many go for higher studies. Top recruiters include big companies such as Reliance, etc., in the core chemical field. Many students go for non-core placements in the fields of technology, IT, finance, and consultancy. The salary packages vary in core companies from 8 LPA to 20 LPA and in non-core companies, it is from 10 LPA to 30 LPA. Some students get more than 30 LPA.

Best Technical Institute in India.

Placements: Most of the students in our programme get placed, and the top positions available are in finance and software. Top chemical engineering hiring organisations include Hindustan Unilever, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, etc. About 70-80% students in our course receive internship offers, however others chose to pursue internships off-campus.
