Review of IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology.

Placements: Placements at IIT Bombay are pretty decent. Almost all branches have a 100% placement rate. All of this depends on where you intern in your 3rd-year summer because a lot of students take up the pre-placement offer given by the company they interned at.

Not worth the money for the M.Phil programme.

Placements: There are no placements provided in the college. I'm not aware of any initiatives by the department of humanities and social sciences regarding placements. The department has some projects initiated by some faculty members. I'm unaware of any project tie-ups with the government of Maharashtra or BMC.

SJMSoM - Things very few would tell about.

Placements: The placements of class of 2013 were pathetic. The final situation was that out of 100 students remained for final placement, close to 30 remain unplaced. There was no support from the school for placement. Faculty members straight away rejected saying that they have nothing to do with the placements. Students finally managed placements at their level with no official support from the school.

Students have the opportunity to improve their technical engineering skills as well as managerial skills. There are lots of activities for overall personality development of the individual. I study in CS and we have the best of renowned and dedicated faculty. The whole curriculum is designed to provi...

Sports and recreational facility is world class. But, the SOM Library, CRs are very sub-standard There are a very few really good ones. Arti mam, Shishir Jha sir, Usha mam to compensate them, there are a lot of them who are pathetically bad. KK Momaya, S Bhargava, SN Rao visiting faculty are a fresh breather. Someone like Kamal Sharma, Owen Berkley, Natesan are very inspiring For SOM 2013 the placements were pathetic. The FMCG PPO guys saved themselves. Apart from a handful, those who were lef...
