It is an excellent college to excel in future.

Placements: About 60% of the students or above get placed every year from our college. This year about 80% of the students got placed. Top recruiting companies for our course are Fleet Management, Anglo-Eastern, Thome, TOM, etc.

Our college provides quality education.

Placements: All the students got placed in parent company ESM Singapore, the waiting period to join ship is around 6 months for training. After clearing COC again you have to wait for approximately 8 to 12 months. Best in-house training is available in SIMS. Ships were also there on the campus for better training.

A good place to develop your marine career.

Placements: When it comes to placements, the college sincerely tries to get their cadets placed. A company when it comes for recruitment, they are more interested in / expects a student to know the pure basic knowledge about the field. If you can convince the interviewer that you know what you're talking, one can easily get placed. 38% of the cadets from our batch are placed in companies like MOL, MOLTA, Goodwood, Chellaram, PCL etc. And 2-3 companies are yet to come.

Absolutely Perfect if you took pre sponsorship.

Placements: My batch is of 40 students. It took really long time for me to get place as at that time there was very less placement. But now yes there is good placement. Pre sponsorship is must as per the DG SHIPPING. Good luck Best regards. Good luck CADETS. Work hard for the ship.

IMU is the best for studying marine engineering.

Placements: Placements are average. In the Maritime sector, there are very fewer demands for jobs, and if you go to any college, they are not giving 100% placement. In our college, around 60% of student were placed this year and an average salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month.

Review of RL Institute of Nautical Sciences (RLINS).

Placements: Placements in our institute were very less in the years 2012 to 2017, but it was improved and have better placements those who completed their course in the academic year 2018. But since some improper fluctuations in shipping side problem for placements. Not only in this institute but also any institute we can expect mandatary placements. But I was not happy about placements in the year 2017.

The college provides good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Placements n our college are good enough. About 85% of students from our senior batch got placed. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. All shipping and logistics companies like CMA CGM, DHL, Adani Port, DP World, etc., visited our campus every year for placements. Almost 100% of students get an internship at our college. The stipend was not offered during the internship for students.

IMU- Mumbai Port Campus; MERI- former DMET.

Placements: Placements from the year 2017 have improved by leaps and bounds. For the 2017 passout batch, there was a 100% placement; moreover some of the 3rd year cadets were also placed in 2017 already. So as you can see, even in the shipping line where placements are hard to find these days; we thrive to maintain our legacy.

The college is pretty good. But think about all the aspects before joining this college.

Placements: The placements of the college are pretty good. Last year, almost 75% of the students got placed through campus placements. Currently, the college doesn't have any placement cell, but students are working on that. Last year, the placements in the college were very good.

Placement opportunities are good.

Placements: For the last batch, i.e., B.Tech 2014-2018, the placements were good. About 15 students got placed in different companies. Many companies visit our college to offer placements. A few companies are already committed to recruit the students of next batch.

HIMT is a good institute for marine training.

Placements: HIMT is one of the good colleges for marine engineering. HIMT offers B.Tech, B.Sc, GME, GP rating courses. One can get the best placement from this college. Companies like NYK, BSM, PIL, TORM visited here and recruited some of the cadets. In my opinion, this college can give good placements like a cadet wants.

Indian maritime academy for mariners.

Placements: Very poor rating to placement facilities. Maganement is good but no placement options are available. The management is trying there best to do the placement. Hardily 7-10 cadets are able to get place out of 50 students. We can say that the company would be coming to the college by the next coming years.

The college is good, but getting on board ship is really difficult.

Placements: We are waiting for placements. It is better nowadays than before. We have both on-campus and off-campus placements. They will send you for a job for sure. Placement officer is trying a lot for placements of all cadets like B.Sc. B.Tech, DME, METO, PGDGME, BBA, MBA and some other.

Good faculty with good placement, mess is good. Really good infrastructure with a lot of greenery.

Placements: Almost all of our pass out senior batch got placed in fleet management limited, few in seateam management limited and some in synergy through all india open test. About 40% of my batch is selected in fleet management and still some companies ought to come for placement.

In short, we can say it's good college for the students who really wants to learn marine.

Placements: Talking about placements, we can say there are only 5-6 students get placed out of 40. However, they send students for off-campus interviews on their behalf. They give chances to all students. In a year, they call 5-6 companies to the college for the placements. They give references to join the internship.

More focus on placement is needed.

Placements: Placements aren't too good here. Only those who re extremely good have the chances of campus placement. Besides they provide off-campus placements to the remaining. Around 20% cadets got placement from campus and they joined ship as trainee marine engineer with an avg pay of $600 per month.

On the whole, it is good. If you want to be a mariner, welcome here.

Placements: The placements are good compared to other fields. In this college, if you just pass all the subjects, your placement is sure, that too with better salaries than other fields. After 10 years of working on the ship, if you are a captain, you can get a minimum of 10 lacs per month.

Satisfied with everyone that provided on the campus.

Placements: The placements on the campus are good. Nowadays, the college is giving the good placements. Ultimately, it is your talent and hard work, which pays off. So, it is necessary to work on your skills. The university is great because it is a central government university and also it is a headquarter of all the IMUs.

The perfect college for the field of logistics and shipping.

Placements: Around 90% of the students got placed last year. The salary offered is around Rs. 18,000-35,000 at the start. The companies like NYK, Team Global, Robinsons, Trans Asia, Kunenagal, etc. come for placements. Every student gets an internship from the college and stipend depends on the company we go to.

It is the best college, but only for studious and geeks.

Placements: There was 100% placement as the company, which own this college, itself provides placements. Salary offered is same for all students, and so there is no need to worry about that. It starts from 12,000 US dollars and increases after every year. This college does not allow other companies to visit the campus for placement. No internship is available as we are directly given training for 6 months after our college degree.
