University campus is very large and has a lush green garden.
Placements: The placement in my college is higher, at 10 Lacs. On-campus placements are good, offering up to 10 Lacs, with a minimum of 5 Lacs. Regarding field placements, they are well-organized. Many companies offer placements in our college, and big offers are provided to students.
Infrastructure: There are many types of clubs and societies available in Jamia, like IEEE, GDSC, ASME, TRS, ASCE, etc., which allow students to develop in all aspects of life. Quite a good range of extracurricular activities is available as well. Hostel facilities in Jamia are totally based on "jugaad"; you can only get into the hostel if you have some kind of source in the college. The hostel facility is quite good, and the food provided is better than in other colleges. Plenty of flats are available in Batla House and Zakir Nagar for rent.
Faculty: The government engineering college study level is very powerful. The courses are completed within a time period, and faculty for subjects like Physics, Maths, and others are very active. However, sometimes the faculty do not work properly in matters like scholarships and other administrative tasks.

A lot of things I learned here are always memorable.
Placements: The reality is that after doing M.A. sociology, you can either become a sociology teacher or work with NGOs. But teacher is best option I guess Laxman Public School, Periyar school and government schools all need sociology teachers, but placement cells are not helping us. We need to create a Naukri, liked and indeed account; there are a lot of opportunities. The average salary if you get good college is 35,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Jamia Milan has an excellent campus. Classrooms are nice and the best part is WCR's women's common room, where only women are allowed. University and we students do some social work; we distribute sanitary pads to poor girls. The college is equipped with Wi-Fi; we can use it for hostels. The library is decent but always filled with students. Seats are very limited but the book collection is big. The college hostel is near the campus; they take an interview before allotting a hostel room because the rooms are very limited. We have many canteens and shops on the college side; a xerox center is also available. Sports events in Jamaica are competitive, and there is tough competition between classes. Jamia campus has many protests about destroying the image of the university.
Faculty: Teachers in Jamaica are really supportive; they have an interest in social work and have always organized many social activities. Some run their own NGO because they want to bring about change in society. Teaching quality is good; they are highly qualified. A sociology course is different from others; a money-minded person should not opt for this course. Sociology is a concept that has brought many changes to society. Its curriculum includes all chapters, from the beginning to the modern world. All students pass the exam, and the passing rate is over 90%.
Other: The college fee is very reasonable as it is central university year-wise. 10,000 is for first-year and second-year regular and distance learning are both available.

JMI- the step in the right direction.
Placements: The placements were excellent. But mostly for the students of IT sector or engineering background. It was a little slow for the social sciences but it is not the university's fault there is not much of corporate opportunity for social sciences. But for the faculty members that did get placements they were good.
Infrastructure: There was Wi-Fi available in the entire campus. There is a central library for the entire University but each department also has its own libraries as well. The food was excellent in the numerous canteen spread out in the campus. Classrooms were good and had everything we needed. Labs were also fully equipped and functional. I personally didn't face any infrastructural issue during my years.
Faculty: The teachers in our department were the best we could ever ask for. They were highly qualified and knowledgeable they taught us by interaction debates discussions seminars presentations and extension lectures where we got to hear from amazing sociologists and anthropologists. The course curriculum was such that we never had any difficulties giving interviews and entrances after our master's. It was all inclusive and we'll designed.
Other: The fest in our University is more of a learning dear than just dance and music. We did have cultural events as well but mostly we had amazing seminars and movie screenings to relevant movies.

Jamia is awesome. Great place to study.
Placements: It is not a professional course so getting placement is not the criteria, but the education system here is very nice. Regular classes are conducted, and it helps us to prepare well for NET/JRF exams and obviously for further education. Many of my seniors and batch-mates have qualified NET, and this made them eligible to be the Professors.
Infrastructure: Well-designed classes and well-defined courses. Teaching is very nice. The curriculum is precise and followed well. Overall education here is worth. Sports facilities are also there, and they also host competitions as well. Big classrooms and great lab facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are very cooperative. They are our mentors, and not just teachers and the best thing is they behave and works like one. All the teachers are highly qualified, and they prepare a student for their better future. Methods of teaching are great and very precise.
Other: Priority is given to the studies. The crowd is nice and disciplined. Connectivity is good. All public transport including metro service are available. Many merit level scholarships are available. Surrounding is safe and clean.

Q:   How can I get admission in Jamia Millia Islamia?

    A:

Aspiring students are required to register on the official website of CUET fill the application form online. In the form, fill all the details asked, upload the required documents and pay the application fee. Starting 2022, for BA, BSc and BVoc, JMI started accepting the scores of CUET UG. Qualified students of CUET UG are required to register for JMI counselling after which merit lists will be released with the name of the shortlisted students. Q:   Is Jamia Millia Islamia good for M.Com?

    A:
    {Source: M.Com students & alumni}

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) - Is it Good for M.Com?

Based on reviews from current students and alumni, here's what they say:

    * Placement Record: While the college claims to have a good placement record, the reality seems to be different. According to students, only about 20% of students get placed, with the highest package offered being INR5.5 LPA.
    * Recruiters: Companies like Samsung, Kotak Mahindra, DMI Housing Finance, and Acxiom visit the campus for placements, but the number of recruiters is relatively small.
    * Course Curriculum: The M.Com course is well-structured and covers finance, accounting, and purchasing, making students industry-ready.
    * Teaching Quality: Some students feel that the teaching quality could improve, while others appreciate the support and guidance received from faculty members.
    * Infrastructure: The college has a beautiful campus with modern infrastructure, including a large library, laboratories, and a sports complex.
    * Scholarships: JMI offers scholarships to deserving students, including the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

In conclusion, while Jamia Millia Islamia has its strengths, particularly in terms of infrastructure and course structure, the placement record for M.Com appears to be inconsistent. Prospective students should weigh these factors carefully before deciding whether JMI is the right fit for them.
