JNU CUET PG 2023 Phase 1 exam started on June 5 and will be held till June 17. JNU CUET PG Admit Card for Phase 1 exams dated June 5, 6, 7 and 8 released on June 3. Meanwhile, JNU CUET UG Phase 4 exam are being held from June 5 to 8. JNU CUET UG 2023 Phase 4 Admit Card was released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 2 late night for exams dated June 5, 6, 7 and 8. Candidates can download the admit card for phase 4 by visiting the official website of the exam-cuet.samarth.ac.in

JNU CUET UG exam commenced on May 21 and will end on June 8. Exam for the UG and PG courses are being conducted in three slots. Slot 1 from 8: 30 AM to 10:30 AM and Slot 2 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM and Slot 3 from 3: 30 PM to 5:30 PM.

JNU CUET PG 2023 admit card is available for download at the official website of the exam. JNU CUET PG 2023 result declaration date has not been announced yet.

JNU CUET exam 2023 is being held in computer-based mode. All the qualifying candidates in the entrance exam are provided admission to different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes by Jawaharlal Nehru University. 

What is JNUEE/JNU CUET 2023?

The Jawaharlal Nehru University adopted Common University Entrance Test for admission to offer admission to aspirants in undergraduate, postgraduate courses, postgraduate diploma and advanced diploma courses. The scores of JNU CUET is accepted by all the 14 schools under JNU. The exam was conducted in two shifts viz. first session (9:00 am to 12:15 pm) and second shift (3:00 pm to 6:45 pm).

Note: MPhil courses will not be offered this year due to the National Education Policy 2020's proposal to eliminate the programme.

Quick facts related to JNU CUET 2023:

  • While filling the application form for JNU admissions aspirants can opt to appear in the entrance test for a maximum of three courses in order of their preference.
  • Since the seats available for admission in programmes offered at JNU is limited, aspirants are shortlisted for admission basis their performance in JNU CUET.
  • JNUEE/JNU CUET along with JNU CEEB will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA)this year.

JNU CUET UG 2023 Application Process

JNU CUET UG 2023 registration form will be released by NTA in online mode on the official website of the exam. Once released, candidates will be able to fill JNU CUET UG application form by visiting the official website of the exam. Firstly, candidates will be required to register by filling in details such as name, address and contact number. Candidates will get their login credential. Candidates will be needed to login by using the login credentials to fill up the JNU CUET UG 2023 application form. Candidates will be needed to fill in their personal and academic details, course and exam city preference and upload documents. After that candidates will be required to pay the JNU CUET UG application fee online via debit/credit card, Net Banking, Paytm and UPI. NTA will also provide an opportunity to candidates to make corrections in the application form of JNU CUET UG 2023 before the results. Candidates are allowed to make changes in the fields of their or their parents/guardians' names, date of birth, gender, category, PWBD and choice of universities.

JNUEE/JNU CUET Eligibility Criteria

For JNUEE. JNU CUET 2023 entrance exam, candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling and submitting the form. The Jawaharlal Nehru University offers a wide variety of courses, where each course’s eligibility criteria is different from the other. The general eligibility criteria as set by the University for the Entrance Exam is a graduation degree having secured a minimum 55% marks.

JNUEE/JNU CUET 2023 Admission Process

Candidates who want to appear for the JNUEE/JNU CUET, have to follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Registration

To fill the JNUEE application form, candidates were required to register themselves. Aspirants were required to log in to the official website of the official university and enter the required details.

Once all the details are filled in, candidates can confirm the password and enter the registered details. From there on, the candidate can visit the home page of the website to log in and apply for the JNUEE/JNU CUET entrance exam.

Step 2: Fill JNUEE/JNU CUET Application Form

Aspirants can fill the JNU entrance exam application form in either of the modes – online or offline. Candidates can mention up to three fields of study in the same JNUEE application form in order of preference. If any aspirant submits more than one application form for JNU admissions at the same programme level then their candidature would stand cancelled. But this rule does not apply to candidates who have applied for admission in the below-mentioned programmes:

  • JRF holder candidates who have applied for admission in Science Schools under "JRF category" for admission to MPhil/PhD or Pre-PhD/PhD through the viva-voce exam in addition to admission through entrance examination
  • Aspirants who have applied for direct admission to PhD programme.

The application process for aspirants is considered complete when they have filled all the information in the JNUEE application form. Candidates are also required to affix their recent passport size photograph, signed in the space marked for signature and paid the exam fee. Candidates were required to pay application fee for JNUEE 2023 by Demand Draft which is drawn in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru University and is payable at New Delhi.

Step 3: Download JNUEE/JNU CUET Admit Card

Candidates need to download JNUEE 2023 admit card from the official website of Jawaharlal Nehru University. The admit card can be downloaded by filling in their application number or name and date of birth. Aspirants need to carry a copy of JNUEE/JNU CUET admit card to their exam centre with their latest passport size photograph.        

Step 4: Appear for JNUEE/JNU CUET Exam

Aspirants need to appear for Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam as per the date, time and venue mentioned on their admit card. JNUEE is of two hours duration and contains questions related to the course for which aspirants have applied for admission.

Step 5: Check JNUEE/JNU CUET Result

Candidates can check their result for JNUEE/JNU CUET on the official website of Jawaharlal Nehru University by filling in details such as their programme of study, field of study and application number/registration number.

Step 6: Appear for Viva-Voce

In most of the courses offered at Jawaharlal Nehru University, admission is offered on the basis of an aspirant’s performance in JNUEE exam. However, in some courses candidates who have been shortlisted for admission basis their performance in Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam need to further appear for the viva-voce round. Admission to these courses is offered to candidates on the basis of their performance in both the entrance exam as well as the viva-voce round. Courses in which candidates need to take part in JNU viva-voce round are as mentioned below:

Travel Concession for Viva-Voce

JNU invites candidates to take part in viva-voce after clearing the written entrance exams. For the viva-voce, if candidates are travelling from different cities then the central university pays second class railway fare, both ways (round trip) by the shortest route from the place from where candidates are travelling for the viva-voce that is, mailing address given in the Application Form. However, this fee is paid for a distance that is covered above 300 kms and here candidates need to produce a valid train ticket. The official website informs: “The fare for the first 300 km each way shall be borne by the candidates themselves. Candidates wishing to claim reimbursement of fare are advised to retain with them Train/Bus ticket(s). Candidates invited to viva- voce from a distance of fewer than 300 km, including local ones shall not be reimbursed Train/Bus fare under any circumstances”.

Step 7: Check JNU Final Merit List

The final merit list for JNU admissions is released on the official website of the varsity. Candidates can check their result by filling details such as their programme of study, field of study and application number/registration number.

JNU CUET PG 2023 Exam Analysis

JNU CUET PG 2023 exam was held smoothly on day 1 of Phase 1 i.e., on June 5. Shiksha covered the exam event on June 5 at an exam centre in Noida. As per the students who appeared for the B.Ed language exam, who ahred their feedback related to the exam said that the exam was conducted smoothly. Students sharing their feedback stated that the difficulty level of exam was moderate to easy. There was no technical glitch reported as per students' on day 1 of phase 1 exam.

JNU CUET UG 2023 Exam Analysis

For this academic session, CUET UG 2023 exam was conducted smoothly and properly at different exam centres across India and abroad. According to NTA, shift 1 of CUET UG 2023 concluded well in all the 271 cities and 447 centers. Total number of candidates scheduled in shift 1 were 87,879. However, students sharing some insight of the entrance exam revealed that the difficulty level of the exam was moderate to easy. There were no technical glitches in the exam as per students. The JNU CUET PG result 2023 will be declared after the exams. Candidates will be required to visit the CUET PG website hosted by NTA and log in through their application credentials to download the scorecard.

JNU CUET UG 2023 Answer Keys

Last year, the JNU CUET UG provisional answer keys were released on September 8 and was available to challenge till September 10, 11: 50 pm. Candidates were allowed to download the answer keys along with the response sheets by logging in to the CUET website through their username and date of birth/password. NTA said, ''Candidates were given an opportunity to see their responses to the Question Papers and to challenge the Answer Keys. Challenges received online were placed before the concerned Subject Experts for verification. The Result was prepared based on the Final Answer Keys.''

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the CUET UG Phase II exam following proper security and safety measures. CUET UG exams were conducted at different exam centres in India and abroad. However, Shiksha interacted with candidates who appeared for CUET UG exam to know about the exam pattern and types of questions in Common University Entrance Test. A number of students sharing the details about the exam said that there were a lot of technical issues in the exam. Students revealed that due to technical issues their General Test paper was cancelled by NTA. As per students, the General Test paper will be held again in future. Students also faced technical issues in their their alloted computer system. Candidates were made to wait for long duration in the examination hall due to technical glitches. Students talking about the difficulty level of the exam said that it was moderate to easy. A number said that the English paper was quite easy.

JNU CUET UG 2022 Exam Analysis (Phase I)

NTA conducted CUET UG exams which commenced from July 15 for phase I at different exam centres. Students of different streams appeared for the CUET UG 2022 exam. However, students talking about the CUET exam revealed that the difficulty level of the exam was moderate to easy. For some students a few sections were quite tough. Student found English and General Test paper quite easy. Meanwhile, some candidates found it tough to complete the question paper on time. A number of students faced technical glitches during CUET UG exam. Phase I CUET exam are scheduled to be held betwen July 15 to August 4 while phase II exam will be conducted from August 5 to August 20.

Q: When will JNU CUET UG 2023 registration start?

A: JNU CUET UG 2023 application process closed on April 11. The application correction window was reopened on April 9. The last date to apply for the exam was April 11. The application form for JNU CUET UG released on February 10 and the last date to apply for JNU CUET UG exam was March 30. Earlier, the last date to apply for the exam was March 12. In order to apply for the JNU CUET UG exam, candidates were supposed to meet the eligibility criteria.  

Q: When will JNU CUET UG application correction window open?

A: JNU CUET UG 2023 application correction window was reopened from May 1 to 2. Earlier, the application correction facility was available from April 1 to April 3. Candidates were supposed to make correction in the application form by visiting the official website of the exam. The last date to make correction in the application form was May 2. 

Q. Does JNU offer postgraduate courses?

A. Yes. JNU offers admission to various postgraduate courses offered at the varsity and its diverse schools. Candidates need to register at the official website of CUET PG to apply for postgraduate courses.
