Placements: Our college provides a wide range of opportunities. It provides only a few placements because it is a new college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our college and hostel. Our classrooms and library are good to support the academic needs of every student. The mess is appreciable. We have smart classrooms.
Faculty: We have many JRF rank holders from the first year. We have secured university selection in various sports events. They have knowledge in their fields. The curriculum is well-maintained. They support students. They conduct classes very well. They are ready to help us.

Really good infrastructure and facilities with very well educated and friendly faculty members.
Placements: About 70% of our students have been placed in jobs. The lowest salary offered was 30,000, and the highest was 4-5 lakhs. The top recruiting companies are located in Australia. There are many opportunities offered by our course, and it is an emerging topic in this world.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well-equipped with smart boards, blackboards, air conditioning, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The computer lab and library are well-equipped, and the hostel rooms are large and well-equipped. The food in the mess is only average, but there is a lot of encouragement for sports and arts, which supports our co-curricular activities.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very relevant to the emerging problems in our world. The teachers are very well educated and helpful, and provide sources for the syllabus and internship opportunities. Semester exams are not that difficult, but they make sure that relevant questions are included. A 50% score is required to pass.
Other: I chose this course because I didn't score high enough on the entrance exam to get into my preferred field, which is agriculture. However, this course is a relevant and interesting topic that made me choose it. I think this course should be given more importance in our country. Every festival in our country is celebrated in a sustainable and economical way. The college is not very crowded and has a very good environment with lots of plants. It also supports extracurricular activities such as arts and sports.

Placements: The college is the latest in university. Our college has fewer students. Our teachers pay attention. The location of the college is in a subtropical high range. They give opportunities to study all types of crops. The first batch had 3 JRF in social, science, and PG. Around 2 students entered management institutes like IIM and MANAGE. The second batch is getting intense training for the coming ICAR PG exam. Around 3 students entered MANAGE, IRMA, and NIAM for their PG in management. Our college is competitive. It is the best place to achieve your career in the agriculture field.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all facilities. Wi-Fi facility is available in our college and hostel. The library is available from 9 AM - 6 PM. They will change the time up to 9 PM if students request. The food served in the canteen is good. Our college has a sports club. They offer the best opportunity for matches like inter-batch in football, volleyball, throwball, etc.
Faculty: Our faculty members are highly qualified. They are qualified from various reputed institutions like IARI, NDRI, and ANGRAU. All of them have completed their PG. They are Ph.D. holders. Exams are conducted based on the KAU syllabus. Theory and practical exams are conducted separately within the exam hall. Exams are conducted strictly. The course offered is versatile. It covers a large field.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in and I wanted to become an agricultural expert. They should conduct practical classes. The course gives equal importance to co-curricular activities. They conduct programs that promote the talents of students. They provide various scholarships like E-grants, etc.

Our course has a career scope in agri-research stations, banking, professorships, and other fields.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities of our college are developing. Wi-Fi is average. Our labs are good and smart classrooms are available. The library is the best part of this college. Hostel facilities are average. The food in the hostel is of the student's choice. Canteen food is of average quality.
Faculty: There is a shortage of faculty. Available teachers are very good and knowledgeable. There is a relevant curriculum modeled by ICAR. It makes students ready for industry. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage for this course is 60% for the general category and reserved classes, it is about 50%.
Other: I have a keen interest in agriculture. The course is more practical-oriented. One suggestion for our course is to increase the availability of faculty members. Every year, the college conducts arts and sports fests.

Placements: Every district has a post of Agriculture Officer which is recruited through Psc and also there is a post of soil survey officer. Many banks comes in the college for recruitment. The college also offers internship opportunities It also offers seminars for examination for CAT exam etc. Most of the students pursue their M.Sc. as there are various subjects in which you can pursue your M.Sc. .
Infrastructure: As the main building was the queen's summer palace once the newly build buildings adopted a palace structure. All class and the labs are provided with a smart class. The Library is provided with WI-FI. The college has a very good and large ground with an indoor stadium. Training for basketball, badminton, table tennis is provided in the indoor stadium. The indoor stadium is provided with a Jim too. The college also has good labs and processing units with adequate facilities. The college has large instructional farmers and orchards wherein students get trained. It also has a very good farmhouse where outsiders can buy various seeds and plants. The girls UG hostel has 3 blocks and new blocks are coming up. Each room accommodates 3-4 people with adequate facilities. The washroom is common, about 4-5 bathrooms and 4-5 toilets in each floor. Each floor is provided with a water filter. The facilities are good and limited as it is a government college. Mess has definite menu and changes from semester to semester.
Faculty: All the teachers in the college are M.Sc. Graduates and most of them have PhDs with doctorates. The teaching quality is good. The B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture course consists of 8 semester each lasting for 6 months that's an all total of 4 years. The final year you have the Rural Agricultural Work Experience Programme. The course also consist of two study trips- A south Indian trip lasting for almost 2 weeks and a North Indian trip lasting for about 22 days. It's a great experience for the students were they visit various research institute all over the country. Each semester has two 3 examinations one mid-term exam, the final exam and the practicals with the viva. You should obtain minimum 5 O. G. P. A ( overall grade point average) to pass the course with a total of 75 percent attendance. The exams are not so difficult and ofcourse it depends on your interest in each subject.
Other: I got admission to the college via NEET. The course is interesting for those who love agriculture and you get to be close with nature. You get to interact with the farmers know their life, it's a great experience and the scope of the course is very vast. The college has a NCC naval unit which gives very good experience for the students. The campus is very vast and very beautiful. The campus is situated at the bank of vellayani kayal which gives its name. We celebrate various festivals in the campus. The course provide opportunities to develop your extracurricular skills which is a very good positive aspect of the course.

A lot of practical knowledge is inculcated throughout the course and it also includes general agriculture and such. The fee structure is affordable with some discounts for students with reservations. The total fees come out to be 36,650 and are greatly affordable considering the value of the course and the opportunity for employment. It is inclusive of the tuition fee. Scholarships are offered to those belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) and those who come under the ICAR. There are so many of extracurricular activities, such as fests and cultural events sports events, etc. The faculty is good. They are always open to more questions and love the subject at large. The student-teacher ratio is also very good, so one teacher is never overwhelmed with too many students. The campus also has some very great professors with a lot of experience. Students who have passed the BSc (AG) course are first appointed as Junior Agricultural Officer on Adoch basis and then selected by the people of Kerala. The Service Commission is posted daily in the Agriculture Department. Also many companies like tata motors, Toyota, deloitte, kpmg, PwC, etc. come to recruit the students with great potential and knowledge.

Hi,

There is no upper age limit for B.Sc agriculture in Kerala agriculture university. Only age criterion is candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2023. However one can refer to the prospectus for more details and eligibility conditions for this course.
