Step 1: Know the Syllabus of the course for KRUCET.

Make a Time Table: The first way to start off, is by creating a time table, a schedule. How many topics can you cover in an hour and in a day and eventually make it a daily routine by finishing off the topics and courses left. Example, if you have applied for MA History, one needs to know the dates very well, the events which occurred during a period of time. Be it MSc in Mathematics, you have to keep on practising. Create a time schedule and plan your subjects accordingly. 

Know the Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme: The candidate should know the exam pattern of KRUCET. The mode, medium, duration and many other details of the entrance exam. The details should be accurate and true. By knowing the KRUCET exam pattern and marking scheme, you know the blueprint of the entrance exam. The marking scheme is one of the most important elements of the question paper. How many marks does one section carry? Will there be negative marking? Will there be 5 mark answer questions or 15 mark answer questions? It is imperative to know the marking scheme so that there is no wastage of time in the entrance exam. 

Know the Syllabus: Once again, the syllabus is an important part of the entrance exam. Stick to the KRUCET syllabus. For example, MA in Journalism and Mass Communication, there are various subjects in the course and it can be quite confusing as there are many topics which are inter-related. Public Relations, Event Management, Advertising much more topics which go from the history of journalism to digital media. Stick to the prescribed syllabus and nothing more. 

Solve Previous Years' Question Papers: The best way to know the entrance exam is by solving the previous years question papers. You will know the exam pattern, the marking scheme, the type of questions asked, the sections, how the question is to be answered. Another way is by testing yourself is by completing the paper in the given duration. 

Revise: Once you have completed a certain amount of topics in a day, revise what you have studied. The best way is by writing down what you have learnt. Be it pointers or solving equations. 

Get Rest: Another major pointer is to not stress over the entrance exam. Rest and study. Balance the equation. A tired mind is of no use. Get as much as rest as you need and add your sleep timing to your schedule as well.
