The infrastructure is okay. No good placement for BBA.
Placements: The placements were average. The companies that visited were also good. For BBA, there were mainly BPO companies. For MBA, there were better companies. The packages offered were average, and not high. I would say for BBA good companies should come. The roles offered were in sales, banking, BPO. The placement percentage in BBA is around 50% I think.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, watercooler, classrooms are good. The hospital is also good. There are sports and games including quizzes. Other curricular activities also are present. The conditions of lab and classrooms are good. In the canteen, the food is average, but not up to the mark. Hostel rooms are satisfactory. There is no proper ventilation. The lifts don't work, and this creates lots of problems in the blocks and hostels also.
Faculty: The faculty are good, and there is a little bit of partiality. The faculty should also focus on the students who are willing to do. They should make them progress up to the mark. The teachers mostly used presentation methods. There is no industrial exposure at all, and the teachers don't try to provide us with some. Some subjects were according to the curriculum, but some were just useless.
Other: There is no strictness in the boys hostel at all. There should be equality. They should allow girls also if they can allow boys. Industrial exposure should be there, and in my 5 years time, there was no industrial exposure. I did my BBA from there only. When there is a fest, girls should be allowed to stay till they want. The warden calls home if the girls are late for 1 minute. There is no equality, and the infrastructure is ok.

Absolutely satisfied with LPU because of the education system and placements are good
Placements: Actually, Lovely Professional University has its own placement panel. Faculty members are teaching well to prepare for the placements. especially they have a subject named soft skills. By studying this subject, it helps to enhance the communication skills of students. A lot of students have placed last year for famous companies in India. Faculty members train students for placements. They have special lectures about how to face interviews and how to behave in an interview. Placements are good in this university because students have prepared for the placements as well as each and every year, the placement percentage of this university is very high.
Infrastructure: Facilities are pretty good. Rules in the library should be reduced and it will help to use the library more easily. Classrooms are okay and in some IT labs, computers are not working properly. All the places are very clean in the university. There are shopping malls and shops where the students can buy their stuff. Stationery prices are cheap. There should be more communication centers in the university. It will help to do the students' work properly.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and knowledgeable faculty members are there. Some of the course content is not relevant to the international students and it should be changed. There some subjects which are not relevant to international students, so they will have problems in the future. The course content should be changed immediately. Some faculty members are not teaching well and I think they don't have enough experience to teach, so they have to improve their teaching skills. A lot of subjects to choose for the students. Faculty members using presentations and relevant things to teach students.
Other: The transportation service should be changed because this is a large university, so students have not enough time to go here and there within a few minutes. The administration should take necessary action for it. The lifts in every block are not enough for students. There will always be a crowd near lifts and the administration has to take necessary action for that. In some blocks, there is only one canteen, so at least, there should be two.

Our college has great infrastructure & facilities.
Placements: Students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester. They can apply for placements in their 5th semester. Companies that visit the campus are Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, Google sometimes, and other reputed companies like JP Morgan, etc. The highest salary package offered is 65 LPA, and the average is around 7 LPA. Almost 75.7% of the students are placed. I am planning to get a placement at this college.
Infrastructure: The campus life is excellent. If you want something, it is available in LPU. Everything is perfect here. LPU has a mall, a huge library, a sports complex, and an auditorium. Many celebrities visit LPU. Just 2 to 3 days before, Gururandhawa visited the college and last month Mama Earth founder also visited. Paradox visited the college two months before. LPU organises various fests also.
Faculty: The relationship between students and faculty is good. All the faculty members here are very helpful. Talking about the student-to-teacher ratio, I think for 300 students there is only one faculty. The faculty which I liked most is Sir Amit Kumar Awasthi. He is very good at teaching maths. In the first semester, he taught us maths in such a manner that I received A+ grade in maths. There are total of two exams per semester, one midterm and the other end term. CA also is like a class test in which marks are added to the final. Most students here have 2-3 reapers.

It is a good college for BBA.
Placements: Around 85% of students get placements in our college. The lowest salary package offered is 2.6 LPA to 2.8 LPA and the highest salary package is 14 LPA. Many MNCs visit our college such as Google, Amazon, and Federal Bank. Students who have skills can grab the opportunities. Our college charges Rs.10,000 for placements and internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is the best. It provides all the facilities like a library in every building and Wi-Fi. Classrooms are neat and clean. They have Wi-Fi, air-conditioners, and projectors. The hospital is open 24 hours for students. The quality of the food served in the mess is very bad.
Faculty: Some teachers in our college are great and well-skilled, but some of them are neither knowledgeable nor well-skilled. Students of our course get industrial experiences and get many tasks which should be done practically. Exams are easy to pass if they read the night before exams, but to score good marks, they must concentrate on PPTs.
Other: I chose this course to learn and gain some skills to interact with many students to be an entrepreneur because, since my childhood, I wanted to become an entrepreneur. Students get an opportunity to participate in events or extracurricular activities every day or week. Teachers should be more qualified because some teachers read and go, so students don't understand anything.

Dissatisfied because of hostel warden.
Placements: Almost 90% of students get placed who have registered for the placement in lovely professional university.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is fabulous. Blocks of lovely Professional University is at its best. We get Wi-Fi everywhere like in hostel, block. There is no Wi-Fi in the library, because the students won't study in the library. Average hostel, canteen but good in outside stalls.
Faculty: Almost all are Ph.D. teachers. They are all well qualified. And if we talk about their nature. Almost every teacher is helpful and supportive. There can be a few exceptions.
Other: I chose this course because more placements are there in this course. Fest are organised too much in Lovely professional university. My personal favorite is the one world.

Students also asked

Q:   Is LPU better than IIM?

A:

IIM has limited seat and getting into an equally good college for MBA can be difficult. LPU has marked a place among the top private universities. LPU gives students qualifying CAT an advantage to get into the top university with their CAT score. Wheather, it is ranking, placement, fee; the MBA course of LPU is a great option.

Rankings

When we talk about rankings, LPU MBA course has been ranked by NIRF under the 'Management Category' in 2023 rankings at 32. The university is ranked in Business and Economics at 2nd position in the World University Rankings 2023.

Placements

LPU has an excellent placement record. Looking at the past placement data of LPU, it gives a tough fight to low ranked IIM. During LPU placements 2022, 1,050 recruiters participated in the placement process and placed students in various new-age job roles. The LPU the highest package offered in 2022 stood at INR 64 LPA (domestic).

Fee

IIM has very high fee when we compare it with LPU. So, getting into LPU can be easy financially than IIM. The fee range of LPU MBA is between INR 7.60 Lacs and INR 9.60 Lacs whereas, for top IIM fee ranges between INR 20 Lacs and INR 27 Lacs as per an unofficial source.

Q:   Is BHMCT at LPU a good choice?

A:
{Source: BHMCT students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the key points:

* Placement Opportunities: Most students (70%) got placed with a median salary of 2.47 LPA - 8.14 LPA. Companies like Taj, Radisson Blu, Hyatt, Accor, Oberoi, and many more visited the campus.
* Internship Opportunities: 75% of students got internships, providing valuable industry exposure.
* Teaching Quality: Faculty members are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. They provide guidance and support throughout the program.
* Curriculum: The course covers every aspect of Hotel Management, ensuring students are prepared for the industry.
* Campus Life: The campus has a lively atmosphere with various events, fests, and cultural activities. The Wi-Fi-enabled campus provides access to resources and information.
* Facilities: State-of-the-art infrastructure includes modern labs, smart classrooms, and a real hotel. Hostel and mess facilities are also available.
* Career Growth: Many students pursue higher education, while others opt for employment in reputed companies. Alumni have reported successful careers and placements worldwide.

Based on these factors, BHMCT at LPU appears to be a good choice for aspiring hotel managers. However, individual preferences may vary, and it's essential to research further to determine whether this programme aligns with your goals and aspirations.

Q:   What is the difference between CAT score and CAT percentile?

A:

CAT score is the total marks a candidate receives out of the maximum marks, calculated by subtracting the marks of incorrect answers from the marks of correct answers. For every correct answer, +3 is given to the candidates, for every incorrect -1 is deducted from the overall score. Apart from this, a candidate's rank is calculated by normalizing the scores of all candidates and placing them on a common scale based on the difficulty and attempts of the candidates. It is important to understand the difference between CAT score and CAT percentile because IIMs and all MBA colleges in India select candidates on the basis of their CAT and other MBA related exam percentiles and not score.

The CAT percentile is referred to as the rank of a candidate against the rest of the test takers. The percentile indicates the total percentage of candidates who scored less than or equal to a particular candidate in CAT.

Suppose,1,000 people take an exam and you bag the top rank, which means 999 candidates scored less than you. Then your CAT percentile will be 999/1000*100 = 99.9.

Q:   What is the last date for LPU admission?

A:

  • Admission confirmation: As soon as the selection rounds are over, candidates need to pay a fee to confirm their seat in the university.

A:
{Source: B.Arch students & alumni}

* Top Recruiters: DLF, Godrej, and other notable companies come to recruit students.

* Hostel Facilities: Comfortable hostels with good food quality in the mess and canteen.
* Medical Facilities: Easy access to medical facilities, including 24/7 emergency services and experienced doctors.
