It is good for textile engineering. It is the best college of West Bengal for textile technology.

Faculty: Teachers are very much qualified. Almost all are PhD holders. They all are very helpful. We can easily understand the core parts of engineering by their lectures. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready for textile companies. The semester exam level is as usual. The passing mark out of 100 is 40.

I suggest this college for students who are searching for jobs. It is the best college.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified. They teach us everything with their experience. Their behavior is also kind and friendly. Semester exams are held by MAKAUT. In a room, there are 2 cameras and desk tables. Exams are not very hard. All questions are from the notes that teachers provide.

Kind MC people. Especially the greenhouse opposite the college. Named as Harinchawra Chatrabas.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, they are well-qualified for teaching and very knowledgeable. Through labs and classes, students can be industry-ready. As CGEC is under MAKAUT University, the question level is standard and neither too tough nor too easy. Exams are conducted under CCTV surveillance with 2-3 guards.

The JGEC Diary ( The good and bad side of a Tier 3 college).

Faculty: In our college, some faculty members are good, but the majority are below average. Most of our faculty members completed their degrees from tier 2 or tier 3 colleges. In this course, the curriculum is mostly irrelevant. They don't prepare students to work in the industry. The difficulty level of semester exams is medium, and the pass percentage is 95.

Empowering Future: A Glimpse into Excellence at MSIT

Faculty: The faculty members are super-helpful and friendly in nature. They help us understand the subjects and also arrange doubt-clearing sessions when needed. The curriculum is also very good and helpful for our future. Exams are coordinated very well. The management during the conducting of any exam is getting better day by day.

Really good placements in 2024.

Faculty: The semester exam questions are prepared by MAKAUT which are very unpredictable. The pass percentage is 40% with internals and attendance included. The written exam is of 70 marks, and the rest 30 marks are based on internal assessments and attendance. Practical exams are quite easy.

SIT- A hidden gem in the lap of North Bengal.

Faculty: Teachers who are in charge of our course are highly qualified and skillful in the field of teaching. They go from bench to bench after completing any topic to ask every student if they are okay with the topic or not. Course curriculum is directly relevant. The vision of our college is to make the students prepare for the industry 4.0. Our college is affiliated with MAKAUT University so the difficulty level of the semester exams depends on the university itself.

Placements are average in 2024, and faculty members are above average. The lab teacher is bad.

Faculty: In 1st year, there are general and assistant teachers. But the maths faculty member is the best and the physics faculty member is average. The electrical faculty member is the worst, and even at last the teacher resigns. The physics faculty members do not teach anything and make us only write notes. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry. The placement team was good. Semester exams are very difficult because MAKAUT University conducts the test, so it is quite difficult to pass the exa...

A solid foundation with scope for improvement.

Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive but there is limited industry exposure. The curriculum covers core topics with software training. It lacks focus on modern practices like BIM. Exams are moderately challenging with a mix of theory, labs, and occasional projects. There is a strong theoretical base, but needs better alignment with industry standards.
