No, a CUET score is not required for admission to MG University courses. There is no information available regarding the same officially. Admission to the MGU Kerala courses is merit and entrance-based. The university also conducts an in-house entrance examination, which is the Mahatma Gandhi University Common Admission Test (MGU CAT).  It is conducted for admissions to various PG programmes offered by the University such as MSc, MA, Master of Tourism and Travel Management, LLM and M.Ed. The MBA entrance exam scores are valid for admission to MG University’s MBA courses are CAT, CMAT and KMAT. The minimum marks required to apply for MGU CAT exam varies between 50 to 60 per cent aggregate in graduation. For each course, the minimum score criteria is different.

MBA/PGDM, MSc, LLM, MA (Politics & International Relations/Politics & Human Rights/Public Policy & Governance), the minimum score requirement is 50 percent.

For MA Economics, MA in Malayalam, MA in English, MA (Gandhian Studies/Development Studies), MA (History and Anthropology) and M.Ed, the minimum score requirement is 45 percent.

After the MGU CAT exam is conducted and the result is announced, the university conducts a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) which includes PI or GD-PI. CAT qualifying candidates have to participate and clear the GD/PI round for their respective courses to be selected for admission. Thereafter the final merit list is prepared based on candidates’ overall performance.

The total course fee for MBA varies at MGU and its affiliated colleges. There are multiple components included in the course fee, such as tuition fee, security deposit, hostel fee, etc. Some of the fee components are one-time chargeable, while some have to be paid annually/semesterly. MGU MBA total tuition fee ranges between INR 35,000 and INR 7.1 lakh. This fee amount is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

• Non-Creamy layer certificate (for candidates who are claiming reservation under the OBC community)
• Certificate of sports and games/NCC/NSS
• Income Certificate (for candidates who are claiming reservation under economically backward among the forward community)
• Relevant documents for Experience or other qualification (Only for candidates having any other qualification or information/Experience)
• Medical certificate of disability issued by a Government Medical Board (Only for candidates with disability)
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• BPL Certificate (candidates who are claiming reservation under economically backward among the forward community)

Mahatma Gandhi University reserves seats for the students, who belong to SC/ST/SEBC candidates. The university has seats reserved under the Sports/Cultural/PD Quota as well. The seat bifurcation for BSc courses at the aided colleges is as follows:

• Open quota seats: 50% in the case of aided/aided forward community Colleges and 40% in the case of aided backward Community Colleges
• For SC/ST candidates: 15% for SC and 5% for ST categories
• Community Merit Quota Seats: 10% in the case of aided/aided forward community Colleges and 20% in the case of aided backward Community Colleges
