Great Exposure and plenty of opportunities.

Placements: Currently I am in 3rd year, seeing our seniors passing out from the college with remarkable placements was inspiring and appealling. Talking about the last year batch's placement in our course, the percentage of students placed went upto 89 percent, of which 6 were those who were longing for higher studies and hence did not get persuaded for the placements. The highest package grabbed by our department was 84 LPA, however, the average package was 12 LPA and the medium was 8 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college Library is fully air-conditioned with all variety of books for the students which they can borrow from the library. Classrooms are also well-equipped and fully air-conditioned. Also the labs of our Department have all the equipments. The hostels are well maintained and clean, greenery is given a lot of importance in our college campus. The mess in our hostels provide us with 4 meals a day including sweet dishes and milk, however their is a drawback that south Indian students face a lot of problem as the food prepared in the mess is majorly North Indian food.

Faculty: The teachers of our department are well qualified and educated from well-known colleges. Teachers have excellent knowledge in their field of research and studies. Moreover, they are very co-operative with the students and motivate us to do best and come up with optimum. Chemical Engineering is an excellent course to pursue from this college, it makes the students industry ready as we are given many industry visits followed by industrial summer training as well.

Other: I chose this course as chemical engineering is wide in itself and provides so many opportunities for the research field also many psu visits. Our campus provides great exposure to the students. The only thing that could have been improved would be the department size as chemical engineering labs have very huge equipments.

Come here for best placements.

Placements: Almost 92–95% are placed; others may choose to go for higher education. Our placement states are at the top among all NITs. The highest package offered was 1 crore 35 lacs for the CSE guy and the average package is 20 lacs. For the chemical branch, the highest package is 52 lacs, and the average package is 13.75 lacs. BPCL, Reliance and all the top PSU companies attended our college during the placement drive.

Infrastructure: There is one central library that has AC and a free, high-speed wi-fi facility. You can read magazines, newspapers and many other articles. MNNIT has old infrastructure and it hardly gets renovated, including hostels, library, mess, etc. Describing the canteen, the food quality is good but you won't get a variety of food here. The newly built hostel for girls, Diamond Jubilee Girls' Hostel, has a better infrastructure; the rest are all 50+ years old. Our Mega Hostel is an eye-catching new hostel at our college.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified from old IITs; all pursued Ph.D. They are masters of their own subjects. But they won't be so helpful and will always push you to do everything by yourself. The course curriculum is now according to NEP, as national education policy is now implemented in our college. Semester exams are light if you have proper notes and have started studying two weeks before the end sems.

Other: We have mainly two festivals: one is cultural, known as CULRAV; the second is technical, known as AVISHKAR; and the third is newly launched, UDBHAV, which is inclined towards entrepreneurship and the cultural side. We also have a Renaissance hosted by Cell MNNIT. I chose chemical engineering to find opportunities in the energy sector and nanotechnology.

MNNIT Allahabad is known for its very good placement.

Placements: Our college has an excellent placement record. The average placement of our college's whole branch is around 20.34 LPA. The highest international package is 1.35 crore, while 82.5 LPA is the highest national package offered. Nearly 92.3% of students got placed in the academic session in 2023.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is decent, as it was built in 1961. But Wi-Fi and LAN facilities are available in every room. First-year students get SVBH boys hostels, where rooms are very large and triple-seated. The second gets double-seated, while the third and final get single-seated. Final-year students get Mega Hostel. Mess quality is okay.

Faculty: Professors were highly qualified; most of them have Ph.D.s from recognised IITs. Semester exams were held frequently; nearly every 2-3 months, exams were held. But the teaching quality was not very good so students were not ready to work in industries.

Other: My branch is chemical engineering. I chose this because its syllabus was relatively low as compared to other branches like ECE, Mech and Civil. The total strength of my branch is 60.

Placements are really very good. Good coding culture and seniors are very supportive as well.

Placements: In the Chemical Engineering branch, about 97% of students are placed. The highest package last year (2022) was 52 LPA, the average package was 14 LPA, and the lowest was about 6 LPA. Recruitment companies are BPCL Gail, Asian Paints, Tata Chemical Ltd. , etc. About 80% students got internship in chemical engineering and in different companies like Asian Paints, Gail, etc. The top roles are in oil-based companies to handle all industrial activities.

Infrastructure: There is a different departmental sub-building of the Chemical Engineering department in the main building and classes are held in the common classroom for all branches. The infrastructure is old but good looking and it also has a small campus of 222 acres. Wi-Fi is available in hostel rooms and in the library. The library has a good collection of academic and non-academic books. Mess is average. In the hostel, there are two canteens and one fruit corner. The college also provides free medical services as well as INR 50,000 in insurance.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers of our course are qualified, knowledgeable and also very helpful. Teaching quality is also quite good, but some teachers create language barriers. Yes, the course is relevant and includes many workshops and practical labs that prepare students for industry. Semester exam hardness is medium; one who studies daily for about 3 hours can score 9 cpi easily.

Other: Chemical engineering in Mnnit Allahabad is increasing rapidly and behaves very well. 75% attendance criteria should be removed. Scholarships are available.

Amazing faculty members and placements in 2024 are really good. Infrastructure is so beautiful.

Placements: My name is Anshul Kori, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from MNNIT Allahabad. There has been 100% placement in my branch for many years, with the highest package of 55 lacs, the lowest package of 9.5 lacs and the average package of 12.5 lacs.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are very decent. You do not feel a lack of resources to have a good education. Our college has fully AC classrooms with projector facilities in each room. Also, we have a big library with a seating capacity of 450–500 and almost unlimited availability of every book you need to complete your course. We have 8 boys hostels and 4 girls hostels, with LAN service available in each room and Wi-Fi service also there. The food provided in the mess is purely vegetarian. No non-vegetarian food is provided and the taste is quite decent. We have good medical facilities with well-qualified doctors in the college dispensary and we also have APOLLO Pharmacy in our college. The sports facilities available at our college are very good for every type of sport and game.

Faculty: I personally chose this college because of it's placement state and amazing teaching facilities. The best thing about my course is that you can get time for extra non-curricular activities. Our college has 4-5 festivals in a year, which are so amazing. Our college has good connectivity and also provides different types of scholarships that are based on your family income, your CPI and most importantly, your caste (SC/ST/OBC/EWS).

IIT Dhanbad offers BTech admisison based on JEE Advanced scores, whereas MNNIT Allahabad admission is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main scores.
