Review of National Institute Of Technology.

Placements: Placements of the college have been improved over years. The future of the college is looking bright at the helm of the new director. The average salary package offered for the students of the mechanical department is around 6 LPA to 7 LPA which is quite standard. For other departments, the average salary package offered is around 11 LPA. A few students were hired by Microsoft with a salary package of 40 LPA.

Placements were good in 2018, and the infrastructure of the college is good.

Placements: The college has a good placement rate. They provide almost 100% placements for the students of IT and CS branches. More than half of the crowd get placed from other departments, as the rest opt for further studies. More than 200 companies offering salary packages ranging from 7 LPA to 40 LPA visited the campus. Overall, the placements in NIT Durgapur are excellent.

The placements and infrastructure of the college are good.

Placements: The current placement session has been very good as many technical companies have offered great placement offers to many students. Only a few companies have visited for core branches, but usually, core companies visit the college a bit late. Microsoft has offered jobs to 11 students from our campus out of which 9 students were offered a salary package of 39 LPA.

College is improving significantly regarding placements and infrastructure over the last 3 years.

Placements: The placements in the college are good. The average salary package offered is around 5-6 LPA. The placements are improving since my exit. Now even finance companies like Goldman Sachs are visiting the campus, and the highest package offered by them is around 22 LPA. Placements in this college are very much dependent on the teacher coordinators rather than the students. However, the placements for other branches except for CSE, IT, Chemical, EE departments are not that good.

Placements: Till now our batch students weren't placed. But our seniors got a good placements. Nearly 85% students were placed. The highest till now is 3900000lpa and least is around 3-4 LPA. So many companies and major MNC's came to our college. Managers, chief engineers, assistant managers etc. Yes there is a placement cell.

This college has scored 10th rank in 2018. Faculty members are average.

Placements: The college doesn't provide any placement opportunities for the students of our stream, but students can opt for higher studies, and they can opt for teaching. They even try for the assistant professor roles. Students can also apply for R&D jobs by taking fellowship from the government. If you have passion and interested in studies, you will be busy all the time. As the college has started this stream recently, it will develop in the future. But students shouldn't expect more from the college.

It is an old NIT with the scope of further improvement.

Placements: Placements in the college were good, especially for computer science, information technology, and electronics departments. In 2014, companies like Microsoft, C-DOT, Mu Sigma, Future First, TCS, Accenture, IBM, Hero Motocorp, L&T, Schneider Electric, etc., visited the campus to offer placements. There is a functional placement cell comprising of a representative from every department. Most of the roles in IT was a system engineer. The campus, campus crowd and placements are good, but the management is not good.

Placements: The placements provided by the college are good. The highest salary package offered was 29 LPA, and the lowest offered was around 5 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, DeShaw, Adobe, Deutsche Bank, UHG visit the college to conduct placements. The students are not allowed to get placed in multiple firms except for the students who get placed in a mass recruiting company.

Satisfied with the college, but improvement can be made in the placement scenario.

Placements: Here, the placement scenario is decent. Around 80% of students of our batch including biotech and civil engineering got placed in the college placements. The same was the scenario with my senior batch. The highest salary offered was around 13 LPA, the lowest was around 3 LPA, and the average was around 4.50 LPA. Some companies such as Oracle, Ericsson, BPCL, Microsoft, Vedanta, Capgemini, TCS, Maruti, Tata Motors, Reliance Jio, ITC, Hero. Mu Sigma, Future First, Samsung, Cognizant, Accenture, IB...

NIT Durgapur-social entrepreneurs in making.

Placements: For this department, placements are not really looked after as the course is on entrepreneurship, and students are expected to grow in the same field. The college, however, offers all resources necessary for a budding entrepreneur to grow and start its own business.

Really good Placements, good infrastructure, bad medical facility.

Placements: Placements are very good with average salary reaching about 6 LPA with good companies coming like Microsoft, Amazon, PWC, Reliance and many more. Mass recruiters like TCS also come. From perspective of a computer Science engineer, roles vary from software developer, to system engineer to designer and stack developer.

NIT Durgapur- a college that is still developing and yet to reach its peak.

Placements: Placement scenario varied from department to department. While the branches like CSE, ECE and IT had good number of companies coming to recruit, there was not so much for other branches. Electrical engineering branch it self had a dry run as only two 'electrical domain' companies came to recruit, while others were mostly IT or consultancy companies. To make things even worse PSUs no longer visit campus because of the thing called GATE. Talking about internships, only few companies actually came ...

College is very good. Completely satisfied !

Placements: Every year the placement ratio is increasing and the students get the job easily at decent package. Major companies visiting are infosys, polaris, hp and they will offer big bucks if you can manage to impress them with the skills. The college will not provide any kind of assistance so you have to manage all by yourself. The packages can go as high as 30 Lacs per annum and the average package is found to be 6 Lacs per annum.

Placements: Around 70% of people do get placed. A lot of companies ranging from big companies as amazon and direct to the obvious mass recruiters as tcs visit the campus on regular basis. Most of the companies eo offer internship opportunities, but if they take students or not for internships is completely based on how every batch performs. Placement salary packages range from as high aas 27lpa to as less as 3.14 LPA. Our placement cell is very cooperative and we can have all kind roles as in tech, finance ...

Placements: Nowadays, we are getting a lot of new companies. A person with a good CGPA and good knowledge about the project will definitely get a placement. If he is smart enough to clear first round and then in the group discussion or case study he needs to be active, and after that, the final interview will be done. In the final, one should be perfect with the projects done by him and also about the internship/vocational training if he had done previously. It looks like the companies are taking a lot of p...

Placements: Placements are quite good here. There is a separate Placement Cell headed by the Dean, AOTP, which is functional in every respect considering bringing various companies for campus placement as well as cooperation with the students.
