Review of NIT Durgapur - National Institute Of Technology.

Placements: The college has a very good placement record. Many good companies visited the campus during our time, and more than 70% of the students get placed with an average salary package of 5 LPA, and with the highest salary package up to 13 LPA. Approximately our seniors also had very good placement and even our juniors. If you are planning to join this college, I would suggest you go ahead. College life is very good at the campus.

NIT durgapur, metallurgy department in short.

Placements: Students joining here have a great opportunity to be a part of some great Steel industries and PSU's specially in metallurgy. Placement wise our batch had 70% students placed in campus and others outside, even those opportunities were provided the Placement cell. Students in branch have package varying from 4.5L to 10L, and those who chose to get placed in others companies, even they had packages from 4L to 15L. Do not expect much stipend in metallurgy field during internship, though people back...

This college will teach you the fundamentals of life.

Placements: Placements were quite effective. More than 60% of my batchmates got placed. Hoghest package was 17lpa, the lowest being 3.5 LPA with an average of around 6lpa. Companies like IOCL, L&T, Vedanta, and many more visited the college. Roles varying from that of engineering field to management fields were offered. Internship was offered to around 50% ofthe students. The highest being 1.5 Lacs per month, the lowest was around 6000-8000 per month and average was somewhat around 35000 per month. There is...

National Institute of Technology DURGAPUR.

Placements: The placements was above average as any old NIT would fare. The mean package was 5 LPA and the 30% students got placed in mass recruiters from TCS, IBM and L&T. A good 100 out of 600 got placed in companies offering more than 6 LPA. Biotechnology, civil and Mettallury core companies were rarely active in the processes and most of the technical companies didn't allow the departments to participate.

NIT Durgapur is one of the best National level colleges in India.

Placements: Placements are outstanding, and it is one of the best. There can't be any comparison. Placements in core companies and non-core companies both are at a very high level. The salary package offered is more than 10 LPA. Software companies even give greater salaries. College also helps a lot to students for getting placements.

Satisfied with faculty and average placements.

Placements: Placements in our college are good and satisfactory for some departments while it's not up to the standards of NIT. The placement cell is still working on it, hope it will be good someday. Apart from these, computer science and information technology departments have good placements. There is a placement cell, and it functions well.

It is a good college and worthy of joining, especially for the brand name.

Placements: Placements in our college are fairly good. Especially the IT and CSE students get great salary packages. But placements are a little difficult for the core branches. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA. Good companies like Microsoft, Amazon, visit the campus for placements. A few students are also offered double jobs.
