Environment of NIT, Hamirpur is very good for regular study and healthy mind.

Placements: Many Indian and foreign companies visited NIT Hamirpur. Samsung, Huawei and many other companies visit the campus for placements. Also, ECE students are sitting with CSE students for placements. The highest package offered is 75 LPA in 2017-18 for which NIT was ranked second.

Overall, they have good placement and the best infrastructure with some experienced faculty.

Placements: 82.74% of students were placed in the last batch. The highest package was 27 lacs PA for CSE student, and the lowest package offered was of 3 lacs PA. More than 50 companies visited the college including Ambuja Cement, Amdocs India, Ashok Leyland, Bharat Petroleum Ltd., JSPL, Samsung, Wipro, Infosys, etc.

I feel cheated, no future job prospects in ECE branch (my first and last choice).

Placements: Most of the ECE students get placed in IT companies, and the average package is 5 lakh/annum, the highest package offered at the moment is 7lakhs per annum, and the lowest is 3.5lakh/annum. The college does not provide any help in getting the internship you have to search on your own. From my class, 4 students secured foreign internship out of 118 students and about 5-6 got the industrial internship, & 4-5 in IISC & reputed government institutions and the rest sorted to BSNL, fake certificate, p...

Good placements, good infrastructure and facilities. The faculty are fine, helping environment.

Placements: Placement of NIT, Hamirpur are quite good. I think that it is good than the rest of the nearby NITs. So, I recommend everyone to come to this college if you are thinking to come. This year, more than 80 companies visited here for placements, and many students got placed as well.

Its great to be a part of NIT Hamirpur.

Placements: This year, the overall placements were good in the electronics field. About 70% of students got placed in which highest package offered was 8 lakhs per annum, and the lowest was about 4 lakhs per annum. Some of the companies are UTC(united technologies corporation), Oracle, KPIT, JP Morgan, Capgemini, and BOSCH. This year, the companies offered few amount of internships. About 10% students got internship and highest stipend was Rs. 20,000 per month and the average was Rs. 10,000 per month.

It's a good college on overall basis but lacks in projects and innovations.

Placements: The placement index is not high. The main constraint is our location. This is the main drawback due to which reputed companies are not able to visit our campus. We have an average package of around 4-4.5lakhs per annum for the previous batch. Big companies like Google, Schlumberger, etc., don't visit our campus. It is not easily accessible as in case of other institutions.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty and placements.

Placements: In my opinion, the placements are not good from last 2 years. In our class, nearly 43% of the students got placed till now. The highest package offered is of 6 LPA and the least package offered is of 3.25 LPA. A very few core companies have visited the NITH this time and that too for EEE, only 3-4 companies like L&T construction, L&T Technological Services, Tata Power. Remaining all are software development companies and management companies only. When coming to the internships, no encouragement...

A brilliant infrastructure of the campus with experienced professors.

Placements: The placement season starts in the 7th semester. Almost every branch in the college registered about 40% placements except the 5-year dual degree and architecture courses. With one more semester left and plenty of companies visiting the campus, the placements for every branch is going to reach above 90%. Major companies that visited the campus this year 2017, are: L&T Constructions, L&T Infotech, Wipro, Capgemini, IBM, BOSCH, Infosys, HSBC, Virtuosa, Polaris, Reliance Petrochemicals, Playbuff, a...

Satisfied with the infrastructure. In love with the the location and the culture of the college.

Placements: The placement sector is on its boom after the admin decided to make a placement cell in Chandigarh, as many companies did not come to college due its uncomfortable travel and time loss. Our batch had a 100% placement rate, and the offered packages were around Rs. 10 LPA to Rs. 20 LPA for around 20 students, while the rest of them were placed with package amounts of Rs. 5 LPA to Rs. 10 LPA. The companies which come here have usually experienced a high attraction from the students due to the revie...

Life at NITH- the heaven of beauty and learning.

Placements: Not too much, but approximately 98% from each branch get the better placement. The highest placement from our branch is 70 LPA which came this year, and it was offered from Bloomberg. The lowest was approximately 4LPA. By the passing of time, the placement of both would increase by a huge number.

Placements: The placements are very good from the previous 5 years. For branch ECE- 98%, CSE- 97%, civil- 82%, and also about 85% for various other branches. Many MNCs like L&T, Wipro, Samsung, etc. come to the college for placements. The training and placement unit is very efficient in its work and provides various internship and placements in MNCs.

Really good infrastructure, facilities and placements offers.

Placements: The placement of mechanical branch was very good. 70-75 students were placed. The placement percentage was about 80-84 percent. 4 students were placed in a PSU whose package was about 14 LPA. There were different kinds of roles offered like a quality engineer, a role in R&D department, production engineer, etc. There was less percentage of students who got an internship through the college.

Placements: Overall, it was a 100% on-campus placement which even extends to 3 months after passing out of college. The highest package was 18 LPA by Drishti Soft. Although many big names in the corporate world come here for placements, they return in disappointment as students fail to pass the technical test or even the aptitude test. The best NIT among all the NITs

Placements: Most of the students get placed not only through campus placement but outside campus also. You can have a job by campus placements only if you have good technical and communication skills because only a few students were selected from my batch. But you can try on your own outside the campus and you will definitely get a good job because of the name of the institution.

An inside eye to NIT Hamirpur

Placements: As far as I have observed, overall, the placement record is quite good. NIT Hamirpur has got a reputation of being best in Himachal Pradesh and it reflects in its placement drive. Though the highest package and number of placement is obviously maximum in CSE branch, other branches like electronics, mechanical, electrical, chemical, etc. also observed decent and many times good placement packages. In comparison, the civil branch may seem to have a low share in terms of placement. That can be said...

A very nice college with a good tag and good placement.

Placements: Very good placement. The whole batch was easily placed in good companies. The average placements of the batch are good than those in other nearby colleges. The placement officer is good and the placement cell will shift to Chandigarh in few years that will bring more opportunities to the students and the placements would increase to a large extent.
