It's a great college environment to study with brilliant faculty members.

Placements: Approximately 85% of students got placed every year. The highest salary offered was 18 lakhs approx. The lowest salary was 3 lakhs and the average salary was 5 lakh approx. There are numerous companies that often visited the campus like L&T, Wipro, Videocon, Maruti etc.

College with good infrastructure but little bit lacking in placements.

Placements: The placement record is not that much good. I guess about 75% of our senior batch got placed. The thing is that, due to location issues, many of the company HRs do not prefer to come here. So many of times, students have to go NIT Kurukshetra or NIT Delhi for interviews. But last to last year, the record was quite good. About 90% of the batch got placed at that time.

A glimpse of NIT Hamirpur : The college full of opportunities.

Placements: Placement for our senior batch was quite satisfying. Most of them are placed in IT sector and about 60% of the students have been placed. The highest package offered for the chemical was 7.95 lacs per annum. There were two students and both of them are placed in Vedanta. The lowest package offered was 3.5 lacs and the average package was 4.6 lacs per annum. This year, for chemical, various companies like Godrej, Vedanta, Capgemini, Infosys visited. 30% of the students got an internship from the ...

Absolutely satisfied with everything. But there is always a scope of improvement.

Placements: 60%-70% students were placed. Highest salary - 18 lakh, lowest salary - 2.5 lakh. 2% students were selected for internship from the college. But still, the deserving students got a proper chance to shine like a bright star. The average stipend offer is 5 lakh rupees and that is quite good for a beginner. So, all in all, everything is good.

Many good companies visited like Ambuja Cements, L&T, MuSigma, etc. The highest package was around 12 lakhs. The internships were pretty good with students doing internships in companies like NTPC, etc.

Absolutely satisfied because of the infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: As I am an architecture student, we don't usually get in campus placements. We have to work really hard for getting a job. But the college is concerned about B.Tech students and provides good placements for B.Tech students. The companies which came to the campus during our placement season were Infosys, Indian navy, Indian army, Paytm, Jaypee, L&T (mumbai and delhi branch) and many more. NITH has an excellent infrastructure. It also has great scenic beauty. The campus is like a small town. We have a bank, dispensary, ATMs, stationary shops and other necessary shops within the campus. Freshers need not get out of the college for anything. There are small canteens and Nescafe scattered around the campus. The cost and quality of everything are satisfactory. There are many hostels for boys as compared to just 3 for girls, but they are more than enough. The hostels are well equippe...

First of all, NITH has got the most beautiful, green and peaceful campus to study in. Almost all of the labs and departments have been renovated and are equipped with modern equipment. From placement point of view, B.Tech in CSE and ECE are the best branches with about 90-95% placements since 2013. For other branches, about 20-30% students go for off campus placements. The college campus infrastructure is good but the placements are not so good particularly in the civil department. Being a civil engineering student what I feel is that there are fewer opportunities to get exposure in research field in NIT Hamirpur. The quality of the faculty members is not so good now as it used to be earlier due to more appointments of lecturers on a contract basis. The lab facilities are not up to the mark but the environment is great if you want to prepare for any competitiv...
