I can say it's a nuce place to be around. Given a chance to study there I will join.

Placements: Placement for M.Tech students is not very promising in NIT Silchar. But somehow we were offered to sit in campus drive for some IT companies. Mostly the post of system engineer was offered to us in those companies. The highest salary offered to am an M.Tech student in my time was 5 Lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. Labs are well-equipped. College buildings are Wi-Fi enabled. Classrooms are good. Quality of food served in the hostel mess is manageable. Hostel rooms are really good. I didn't face any infrastructure related issues during my time in NITS.

Faculty: The teachers in NIT Silchar are good. Some of them are helpful and some are indifferent. Quality of teaching is really good. Student to faculty ratio is 40:1. The course curriculum was helpful in the sense that if someone wishes to join any academy, then the course work will help.

Other: We had four fests every year. There are some other cultural events also. Scholarship is available for M.Tech and Ph.D. students. Other sports activities are also embodied in the campus life.
