    A LITTLE WORTH THE HYPE.
Placements: Placements are provided, but they depend on your skills, knowledge, qualifications, and grades. Big firms do come to the college to offer internships and on-campus recruitment. However, the course is new, so we cannot expect many placements for this particular course.
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi and three canteens: one open canteen, one shed canteen, and one in the PML Business School. The classrooms are large but do not have AC. The hostel food is very nice and provided on time. The college infrastructure is good but very small.
Faculty: The faculty is good. The teachers are qualified and experienced in their fields. They are knowledgeable and helpful. There are mid-semester exams that are meant to be very hard to score, and then there are the end-semester exams, which are conducted by the university.

A college worth taking admission in.
Placements: I don't know the percentage of the students who got placed, but I can say it will be a few, not because there were fewer opportunities but because of the type of placements they bring in, for example, call centre jobs, which many students don't prefer to do. Internships are sufficient.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our campus is eye-catching with so much greenery; the college was also once awarded as the cleanest college in Tricity. The internet connection is not worth raising. There are two canteens providing delicious food and a basketball court, a celebration ground, where festivals are celebrated.
Faculty: The faculty was great, and the teachers were really helpful and kind towards the students. They are highly knowledgeable, more than we could think. The course curriculum is also relevant. It does make the student industry ready. The exams are held twice a year.
Other: I chose a Bachelor of Arts with English Honours as the arts stream allows us to enter into any course of field in which we want to excel, from political science to economics; the arts is a vast stream. Meraki is the annual festival, which is a lot of fun.

College furniture needs to be changed. There should be more placements.
Placements: There are not too many placements. And the one they are offering is not worth the fee of the course; there should be more placements in the respective field and they should spread awareness among different courses, which we can do along with the graduation to face the competition with some different skills .
Infrastructure: Furniture needs to be changed and renewed; the wooden furniture is not comfortable for a 45-minute lecture; there should be good quality furniture; hostels are lacking in facilities based on their perceptions; the perceptions are increasing year after year, but the facilities do not.
Faculty: Faculty is good, teachers are friendly and supportive, and they teach very well and give extra knowledge. They also restrict us to the syllabus only but with the current issues, they should also add current affairs-related topics and some sessions, particularly based on the current situation of our nation.
Other: The campus is quite good and the crowd is also okay but not what I expected with the name of MCM DAV College.

The atmosphere is good, the facilities are great and the teaching staff is also very good.
Placements: There are many students who studied in our college who have passed out with a Bachelor of Arts. Placements are great many students get internship in big industries and companies, such as Mahindra, Tata, etc. There are many companies that provide placement in our college.
Infrastructure: The college hostel has many facilities; they provide separate rooms for each student and good Wi-Fi. The quality of the mess is very good, and as the canteen provides good food as well as tasty food in the game and sports sections, they provide much more time to practice with an expert coach or teacher.
Faculty: The teacher taught us very clearly; they make certification in every part of the subject; they gave their best to teach us; the teaching quality is good; the students can read and are ready easily for exams. They are taking the semester exam seriously, which is very important so the teacher takes this very seriously. The pass percentage is 35%.

Satisfied because of faculty and opportunities.
Placements: I was enrolled in B.A. Hons English Batch from the year 2014-17. I then pursued my Masters in English literature from the Department of English and Cultural Studies, Panjab University Chandigarh. There are many opportunities and there is freedom to choose from different internship programs held in our college annually. The placements depend upon the students participation.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are very well designed and well structured. There is a private Wi-Fi area for students perusal. The environment is very well disciplined and eco friendly. There are AC labs and a well stocked library available. We have a fully air conditioned mess in which meals are decently scheduled as per the needs of the students nutrition. The hostel is coordinated by very capable professors and the administration is very particular regarding the timings, schedule and following the rules of the hostel. There is a very friendly atmosphere in all the blocks. It gives a very enriching experience from your days of the hostel.
Faculty: The faculty of the Department of English in MCM DAV College for Women is helpful and kind. I had the opportunity to be taught by Dr Jasmine Anand during my B.A. Hons in English as well as my pre Ph.D. Coursework which I got enrolled for in 2024. She taught Electives English subject during my B.A. and research methodology during my Ph.D. coursework. The environment of her class is always of warmth and inclusiveness. She welcomes and appreciates any doubts or queries her students have and her way of teaching helps everyone gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter. She discussed the topics in details and illustrates them with real life examples which make the experience even more relatable and enriching. She has a very well structured plan for the courses that she teaches. MA'am is always readily available for any queries whether professional or personal. She has a very unique approach in teaching us and preparing us for our future which is immeasurable beyond any pedagogical knowledge. During my Bachelors, Dr Jasmine Anand's approach was more related to student queries and their personal problems and experiences in adjusting to a new environment as we had a lighter subject at hand. During my pre Ph.D. Coursework, she taught us to be bold, tough and ready to take any problem head on as we will be embarking on a very challenging journey ahead.
Other: I studied B.A. Hons in English from MCM DAV College for Women from 2014-17. I chose this particular course as I have always loved reading and wanted to explore further in this field. My experience at the college was great as the Department of English has wonderful faculty members who are always ready to help and guide their students.

    Campus chronicles: A glowing review.
Placements: Not much students in our course get placements. Only 10% gets placed. Internships are offered to the students but it is not paid. It is only for experience purpose and certificates. In otger courses tgey are given more placements as compared to our course.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is nice. Every room has studytables and cupboards and an AC. I have 4 students in my room. We have common room and common washrooms. We have a mess and the mess food is nice and it has stuck shop inside too. We have a basement and a library too.
Faculty: The faculty is nice and good to students. They are approachable and if students have any issue they can approach the students and the issues will be solve. The course curriculum is relevant. There are 2 semester exams in an exam and MST exams for the each.
Other: I chose this course because it has subjects of my choice and liking. The college would be better if it had more events and interactive sessions. The Wi-Fi connectivity should be stronger.
