Patna University not only offers PG courses but also PhD programmes and it is the first established university of Bihar. As per the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Patna University ranks 'B+' and students can choose from 100 programmes among various streams like Commerce, Management, Arts, and Science. What is Patna University Entrance Exam?
The Patna University conducts the Patna University Common Entrance Test (PUCET) in order to offer students admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at the university. The entrance exam is conducted in offline mode i.e. pen and paper test. The state-level entrance exam duration of PUCET 2020 is for two hours. There are 30 departments in the university and has 10 colleges affiliated to the university.

Patna University Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria before applying for admission for Patna University Entrance Exam. Students who are found ineligible at the time of the admission process, will not be allowed to proceed further in the process. The eligibility criteria is as follows:

Steps to apply for Patna University
Students who want to appear for Patna University Entrance Exam must follow the steps mentioned below to complete the application process of Patna University to apply for the course of their choice.
Step 1: Candidate needs to visit the official website - pup.ac.in
Step 2: The candidate needs to sign up to complete the registration on the website.
Step 3: Once the registration is completed, the candidate will receive an application ID and password.
Step 4: The candidate needs to log in by using the newly generated application ID and password.
Step 5: The candidate needs to fill out the needed details required in the application form.
Step 6: Once the required details are filled, the candidate needs to submit the essential documents and then click on the 'Submit' tab.
Step 7: The candidate needs to submit the application fees.
Step 8: Make sure you take a printout or a screenshot of the application form including the receipt after making the payment.
Patna University Entrance Exam Admission Process
In order to get admission to Patna University, students will have to follow a certain protocol in order to get admission in the desired course offered by the university.

The candidate will first have to fill and submit the Patna University Entrance Exam application form which will be available online. Students will have to enter the details as required on the application form and upload their respective passport size photographs and signatures. Step 2: Admit Card
Students who have successfully filled and submitted their application forms can avail the admit card (hall ticket) from the official website of the university as well. The admit card is an important document which needs to be carried to the exam centre.

Step 3: Appear for Patna University Entrance Exam 2020
The Patna University Entrance Exam 2020 will happen on the allotted date of the course. For all programmes, the dates are different. Students are advised to carry their admit card and should reach the exam centre well on time. Candidates who are late to the exam centre, will not be allowed to sit for the entrance test.
Step 4: Results
The Patna University Entrance Exam 2020 results will be announced online on the official website. The candidate’s scores and rank will be mentioned. According to the rank secured, qualified students will be called for counselling to the university.

Step 5: Counselling
Students who make the merit list will be called for the counselling session which will be conducted in the university. There will be different phases of counselling, depending on the seats left and the cut-offs.
