Honest review of my College.
Placements: I belong to the Applied Mechanics department and the Structural Engineering branch. For the last three years, my department has had 100% placement, where we were placed, and the average package is around 6 LPA. The highest package has gone up to 38 LPA. The companies are majorly based in Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are very decent here. They provide 3-occupancy rooms with basic amenities like a table, chair, B.Ed, cupboard, and other useful things. In the hostel building, there is a well-equipped gym, and in the hostel campus, there are 2 badminton courts and one cricket ground. There is 24/7 electricity, water, and a strong network Wi-Fi facility provided to us. The food they provide is very tasty, cooked in a very hygienic manner, with a variety of options available. The registration process is done at the time of admission.
Faculty: The course is also very good and useful for our career. M.Tech in Structural Engineering is very helpful for future scope, so we are happy with the Structural Engineering course. The faculty is very experienced and knowledgeable, and their friendly behavior makes us like all the faculty in Applied Mechanics. The faculty is very cool, so we are happy and enjoy the M.Tech program. Exams here are held semester-wise, and the exams are of medium difficulty, so students can easily clear them with good marks. Class Size: 56 Course Fee: INR 157,000 per year.

My review for this great college.
Placements: In the 1st year of the curriculum, the students are eligible for internships, and in the 2nd year, they are eligible to sit for final placements. SASTRA College has a 100% placement guarantee, in which prestigious companies offer lucrative packages. The average package is around 8-10 LPA, and the highest package was around 40 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are pretty cool. The students are provided with basic amenities like one B.Ed study table to work, a chair, and cupboards. There are six hostels for girls and eight hostels for boys. The hostel representatives take care of the respective hostels. The maintenance of the garden is very good in my hostel. They also provide a wing to go and relax for some time. In the mess, food quality and taste are very good; they provide a variety of food, and the menu is changed every week.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very good. I chose this course because I have completed my graduation in Civil Engineering. The faculty:student ratio is excellent. All the faculty members are Ph.D. holders and have a very good teaching style; all teachers have good experience. Examinations are always on time and are easy to pass. Class Size: 54 Course Fees: INR 157,000 per year.

Average student life at SASTRA.
Placements: The University Placement Cell brings CS/IT companies. The placement cell is based for them. Expect some good companies. Our branch placement is very less. Tata Construction, L&T, Aditya Construction – these 3 companies hire students. The top package is 4.5 Lacs by L&T in the design department. 30% of students are placed with the help of the college, while others are searching for jobs. For us, no internship is provided by the college. We need to find it ourselves.
Infrastructure: The outer college look is good, but honestly, the infrastructure is not good. There is an issue in the canteen; it does not have proper meals. Campus rules are very strict: no ragging, no roaming in class hours. The college library is the best. They have all books, like Construction Management, Cost Finder, etc. For the survey, we have a big ground. The hostel is good, but there is a problem with the rooms. The rooms are small for 3 students, and the food is not good. Sometimes there are electricity issues.
Faculty: Teachers are very theory-oriented; they only judge students based on their marks, for them marks are everything. Teaching quality is not good. There is a lack of practical sessions. The syllabus is from SASTRA. We have professors in all topics according to industry and future scope. Semester exams are separated. 50 marks for internal, which are converted into 30, and 70 marks for the final exam. 35 is the passing criteria.

University with values and principles followed.
Placements: 35% of the students got placements in my course when I graduated. I received the highest package offer of 8 LPAs from L&T as a structural engineer. The lowest package offered was 3.6 LPA, and the average package offered was 5 LPA. Top recruiters included L&T Group, RAMCO, Rockwell, Saint-Gobain, and Tata Group. Only a few students managed to secure internships during my graduation. The top roles offered in my course were construction manager, planning engineer, structural drafter, and geotechnical engineer.
Infrastructure: The university has fantastic infrastructure, making it quite visually appealing. Necessary facilities are available, and labs are well-equipped with instruments required for advanced techniques. The quality of facilities and food in the hostel as well as the college was good, although there is no college hostel available.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, qualified, and experienced, and the teaching quality was very good. I particularly remember Ramacharya Sir, who always helped students with subjects, finances, and life coaching. The course is relevant to the industry and meets standards.
Other: I love construction and planning, so this course seemed interesting and aligned with my ideology. I believe most of the necessary improvements have been made. Events were less frequent during that time.

Satisfied with college and good facilities.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is 78%. The highest package offered in our course is 26 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 3 to 7 LPA. The recruiting companies for our course are GAAR, HCC, L&T, and Tata. Internship opportunities are provided. 83% of students got internships at HCC.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best facilities and is better compared to other colleges. Facilities such as Wi-Fi on campus and well-equipped labs are available. Classrooms are large and have smart boards. The mess provides good food, and the hostel also provides good facilities. The canteen has tasty food.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in teaching and are qualified with master’s degrees. Teaching quality is good. They are knowledgeable in many concepts. Teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant. They make us ready for industries by doing real-world projects. Semester exams are hard to pass. The pass percentage is 68%.
