SASTRA University BTech admission for the academic year 2024 has not yet started. In 2023, BTech applications were released in Aprit 23, 2023 and the deadline for submission was June 24, 2023. Based on the last year's schedule, it can be expected that this year also the SASTRA University BTech applications will release in April and the last date to apply will fall in June.

Admission to all the BTech courses is subject to JEE Main scores and Class 12 scores(given equal weightage) for 50% of the seats and is subject to Class 12 scores for the remaining 50% of the seats. However, as per the official website, there is no fixed or specific cutoff to get a seat here. It depends on the students who score the highest marks. If a student has appeared for JEE Main then they need to apply under stream 1 of admission. Additionally, as per the data available on the internet, if a student has a score of 90-95% in Class 12 and 50-120 in JEE Main, there is a high possibility of getting admission.

Yes, SASTRA University BTech fees include a one-time fee payable at the time of admission. The fee comprises a development fee of INR 10,000 and other charges of INR 7,000. These charges include the charges for personality development, sports, unit tests, marks verification, medical test, ID card, etc. In addition to this, candidates must pay the SASTRA University BTech tuition fee. Stream 1: JEE Mains + Class 12 marks (50% weightage given to each), for admission to 50% of the total seats

Stream 2: Class 12 marks (100% weightage), for admission to the remaining 50%

The candidates can opt for any of the streams mentioned above, as per their convenience. Interested candidates must meet the eligibility criteria, mentioned below, before applying:

Eligibility- Class 12 with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology, from a recognised board, and a minimum 60% aggregate.

Applicants, without Maths, are eligible to apply for BTech- Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, M.Tech (5 year Integrated)- Biotechnology, Medical Nanotechnology.

At the undergraduate level, this deemed University offers BTech across 30 specialisations along with Integrated MTech across two specialisations. Admission to all these courses is subject to JEE Main scores for 50% of the seats and is subject to Class 12 scores for the remaining 50% of the seats.
