Q:   Does SHUATS have good placements?

A:

SHUATS placements may vary depending on the specific programme you're considering for placements. Here's a breakdown:

SHUATS has a Directorate of Career Planning and Counseling (DCPC) that actively works with students on career development and placement opportunities. They organize workshops, mock interviews, and career counseling sessions to help students prepare for the job market.

Some sources report that around 75% of students get placed through on-campus placements. This can vary depending on the program, with some like Food Technology, Dairy Technology, and Agriculture having better placement rates than others.

Well-known companies like Nestle, ITC, and Parle Agro have been known to recruit from SHUATS.

For more information visit website shikhsha.com.

Q:   What is the average package offered at SHUATS?

A:

However, based on my research from multiple sources, the average package offered at SHUATS generally falls within the range of 3.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA. This means that on average, SHUATS graduates can expect to receive an annual salary in this range upon placement.

Here are some specific examples of average package estimates I found:

  1. Shiksha: They report an average package of 3.5 LPA for B.Tech graduates at SHUATS.
  2. Their estimate for the average package is also around 3.5 LPA.
  3. Student reviews: While student reviews offer anecdotal evidence, some mention achieving packages as high as 6 LPA, while others report receiving average offers of around 3 LPA.

Remember, these are just averages, and individual experiences may vary depending on the factors mentioned earlier. It's important to research the specific programme you're interested in and consider other factors like internships and skill development to get a more complete picture of your potential career trajectory after graduating from SHUATS.

SHUATS is a very good college.
Placements: 60% of the students were placed in my college. The placement fee ranges from 2 lakhs to 4 lakhs. The placement at our college is satisfactory, but not exceptionally good. Our college offers internships in the dairy department. “Aggies” is a daily newspaper that covers students’ internships in the dairy department. It’s a good resource.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good at my college Wifi, labs, classrooms, and the library are good and easy to use. Facilities are good enough. Work experience is also good. Sports and games are also happening. Medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Faculties are good, and curriculum activities are relevant to the course. Semester exams are tough, and the passing percentage is 40%. Curriculum activities are also happening. Teachers are helpful and well qualified.

SHUATS - College Life Everyone Wants to Experience.
Placements: 60 percent of students get placed, while others want to pursue further studies. The highest package offered in the food industry is 6 LPA, the lowest package is 2.4 LPA, and the average package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiters are Haldiram, Jubilant, Amul, Britannia, Bhikaji, and Mother Dairy. In our course, there is a mandatory 4-month internship in the 8th semester, so every student gets an opportunity for internships in companies like ITC Limited, Varun Beverages, Amul, Nandi, and others. Top roles offered for freshers are lab chemist, quality executive, and production executive.
Infrastructure: Professors in our department are highly qualified and experienced. They try to give their best to their students and are also very supportive. Classes are good and equipped with all necessary facilities. The department has a total of 4 labs for practical work and one dairy where you can learn about different aspects of processing. There are a total of 5 hostels on campus; IH is one of the best hostels for men as it provides the best facilities at reasonable prices. The hostel fee is paid once a year. The food quality in the mess is average; apart from the mess, the college has 4 canteens. For medical emergencies, there is a hospital just 50 meters from the entry gate. There is a huge football field for playing different outdoor games; in addition, the college has a basketball court, volleyball ground, and kabaddi ground apart from the football ground.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified professionals, very friendly, and always there for their students when we need help. The course curriculum is vastly expanded to cover every aspect of food and industrial knowledge. Semester examinations are not so tough if you really study hard; the exams are moderate. The passing percentage is 50%.
Other: I'm currently pursuing an MSc in Food Technology from the same college. I had a great interest in the food department, so I opted for this field. The best thing about the course is that it deals with every aspect of food, such as raw material, production, quality, safety, contamination, and prevention. A fest is held every year in our college on the occasion of National Milk Day in November. Our college is the best example of mixed culture and unity in diversity, with students coming from different states and cultures, making lifelong friendships.

You can have a degree without knowledge from this college.
Placements: The placement cell of the college is not that well organised and tie-up with renowned companies. So the placement rate is around 20%. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amul, Parag, etc. The average salary package offered in our course is around 2 LPA. Students use to do internship from Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Parag Dairy, Amul, etc.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the college is not that good. The equipment in the labs is not properly in working condition. Even the library shuts down at 8:00 pm, and it found to be closed during Saturday and Sunday.
Faculty: The teaching staff members are also not that helpful and knowledgeable. Teachers teach the topics with the help of notes of the students who make them on their own. Some teachers are very poor that they cannot even give any sort of example related to the issues aroused by the students.
Other: I have chosen this course by knowing its future aspects and the growth in this industry. The best thing about the course is that it is going to be high and the scope of this course never going to end as every single person is dependent on food and the space for their cultivation is getting low day by day. So the future of this industry is in the hands of great food technologist. For the betterment of our course, the food magazines should be made available in the colleges where this course is offered. Research papers should be made available properly on the internet regarding our subject, and I think from my individual opinion that there is a great shortage of books in our course. It should also be included in the GATE main paper as of civil and electronic.

Satisfied but campus placement needs to be improved.
Placements: Almost 30% of the students get placed. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, The average package offered is 4 LPA and the lowest package offered is 2 LPA. A top recruiting company is Nestle. Top roles offered are food security officers. The highest package offered in our course is 10 LPA, the average package offered in our course is 5 LPA, and the lowest package offered in our course is 2.5 LPA. Almost all students got offered for internship in nearly all the sectors related to food sectors in companies like Nestle, Britania, Moreish, CCD, Costa Coffee, etc.
Infrastructure: There are facilities like electricity, good classrooms, air-conditioned library in college. Infrastructure is good and appealing and has all the facilities. Wi-Fi is also provided. Our university has its hospital and is of free for SHUATS. Mess food is fine. There are all types of sports tournaments held in our university, for example, football, kho-kho, kabaddi, badminton, etc.
Faculty: Faculty are well qualified and knowledgeable. Almost all the faculty members are either have done Masters, MBA, PhD, etc. Faculty are very much helpful in all aspects. This course curriculum is relevant. Pursuing Food technology does open path for industrial jobs. We can work as a quality head, quality manager, production head, etc.
Other: The reason for choosing this course is that it has various scopes related to the food sector. Best things are the number of scopes, interesting, never-ending demand. Food security officers exam should be held every year rather than once in 5 years. Our university offers various things to do, for example, cultural club, literary club, photography club where talented and interested people are welcome. Fest is organised once or twice in a year. Friendly campus. Scholarships are provided to students if needed.
