Review of SHUATS - Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences.
Placements: Approximately 10% of students got placed in reputed companies like VNR Seeds, Pandey Nursery, Delmonte, Nestle, etc. In the 7th semester, the college provides internships in companies like Dehat, Amul, VNR Seeds, Hindustan Fertilizer Limited, National Seeds Corporation, etc. Companies recruit us as internship trainees.
Infrastructure: You will like the ambiance of the college. It is a green campus full of trees. The campus is Wi-Fi-enabled. Smart classrooms are available for orientation programs and research vivas. There is a huge central library where students from every department study. It has reference books. The hostel is well-equipped, but you need to try to get an international hostel. There is a football ground, a cricket pitch, and a volleyball ground.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified with high knowledge in their respective fields. Some professors will harass you with a large number of assignments, practicals, and vivas. The college will make you industry-ready and industry-friendly. The college conducts orientation sessions on communication skills. Semester exams are easy. You can easily pass the exams by studying for one night.
Other: It is a 100-year-old institution. A college fest is organised every year. They conduct Xpression, freshers' day, and a farewell day. It is a good college. You will get good exposure and have a lot of time to prepare for competitive exams.

Little bit dissatisfied because of placements. Good college campus.
Placements: Generally, 20% of students' placement is done by the college. The highest package is around 7-8 Lacs the lowest package is 2 Lacs and the average package is 3-4 Lacs. The top recruiting companies are VNR seeds. 60-70% of students got internships from this course in seeds industries or fertilizers companies. The top role of this course is the growth of agriculture, the help of farmers.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi all over the college campus but it is paid system. There is a separate lab in every department. The classroom is good and a smart class is also available. The library is good for students, there is a digital library also present, big in space. There is 4 hostel for boys and separate for girls, the food is good there are many canteens on the college campus, University has its own hospital. Good facility for sports. There is a basketball court, a badminton court and many more.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, everyone faculty members are well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good and classes run on time. This course is relevant it makes students industry-ready. There is no difficulty if u study in class or notes given by the teacher. The pass percentage is 40% it includes class tests, assignments, practicals and semester exams.
Other: There is good scope in the present or in future because India is an agricultural-based country. I think no more improvement needed some classes needed because of the crowd. 2-4 events are organised by the college but are more needed.

This place provides you the best opportunities. It's all upto you how should you utilize it.
Placements: Placement is optimum. The major recruiters are Infosys, Larsen & Tourbo, HCL, Wipro, Union bank of India, Hindustan construction company, ITC Limited, Amul, Mother dairy, Parle, Nestle, Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, Thyrocare, Force motors, Lupin limited, Sonalika, John Deere etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, labs and it's equipment are quite good in condition and maintained. Classrooms are very spacious, libraries can be great collaborative spaces for tutoring, group projects, reading in groups, and more. Hostel is very neat and clean, rooms are too good in every hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, friendly in nature, always ready to help the students, Course curriculum is relevant as it have affiliations from ICAR, UGC, ACU, AIU, IAU, IAUA. Semester exams are not very hard and not very easy. In practical objectives must be signed by the teachers.
Other: I choose this course because in this field we can get maximum Government exam opportunity. Or government jobs. Events, Fest, Campus crowd is everyday thing here!

I won't recommend my college because faculty members, placements and infrastructure are poor.
Placements: About 10% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like VNR Seeds, tractor companies, and seed companies visit our campus for placements. About 15-20% of the students from our course got an internship.
Infrastructure: Some classrooms are bad, but some are good. Wi-Fi is good all over the college. The library is good with the air-conditioned facility and good peaceful environment. Labs are average. Food served in the hostel is bad. Food served in the canteen is average. Medical facilities are above average. Sports conducted at our college are good.
Faculty: Only a few teachers in our college are good, but others are below average. Some teachers are very bad at teaching. The course curriculum is not relevant, and it does not make the students industry-ready. Students won't get exposed to the outside world.
Other: I like vegetables and fruits, so I have chosen this course. I wish the college should improve the teaching quality in our course. Fests are conducted rarely. Christian students will get scholarships here. The campus is good inside, but it is bad from outside.

It is an average college containing some good facilities like mess food, etc.
Placements: There are not many placements offers at our college. But, companies like Mahindra, Muthoot Gold Finance, etc., visit our campus to hire students from different courses like B.Tech agriculture, B.Com, MBA, etc. The highest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 to 20,000 per month. In some cases, it may also get higher. There is a placement cell in the engineering department, and it is not much useful.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good. There is a central library which is big enough. There is also the departmental library at different departments like engineering, etc. Hostel rooms for girls are good, and there are generators, but boys hostel room condition is not that good. Hostel fee is also high. Wi-Fi facility is available with good speed. Labs are average.
Faculty: Some teachers are good and helpful, while some of them are only for evaluating and present during the viva. Teaching quality is not good for some of the teachers. They only provide handwritten notes and nothing else. The college didn't provide any training facilities. We have to search for it and arrange it for ourselves. The course curriculum is useful.
Other: The college doesn't organise fests. Some scholarship programmes are there but mainly for Christian students.

Q:   What is the average package offered at SHUATS?

A:

However, based on my research from multiple sources, the average package offered at SHUATS generally falls within the range of 3.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA. This means that on average, SHUATS graduates can expect to receive an annual salary in this range upon placement.

Here are some specific examples of average package estimates I found:

  1. Shiksha: They report an average package of 3.5 LPA for B.Tech graduates at SHUATS.
  2. Their estimate for the average package is also around 3.5 LPA.
  3. Student reviews: While student reviews offer anecdotal evidence, some mention achieving packages as high as 6 LPA, while others report receiving average offers of around 3 LPA.

Remember, these are just averages, and individual experiences may vary depending on the factors mentioned earlier. It's important to research the specific programme you're interested in and consider other factors like internships and skill development to get a more complete picture of your potential career trajectory after graduating from SHUATS.
